For The Love Of Autumn

While you lucky bunnies are enjoying Spring in the North, we down-under have sashayed into Autumn.  A season I admit I love particularly when the leaves turn russet and we can snuggle inside by the fire.

I'm Fillet Mignon Baby

WOW...I couldn't go past this gorgeous dress at Maitreya today and I chose the lusty red because it just pops.  The strapless sheath dress called "Mignon" has delicate folds falling from the cleavage and clings to the body so delicately.  Sometimes I end up disappointed when I purchase mesh items because even when I change my shape, they don't always fit well.  Not this dress.  Like everything Onyx LeShelle does, its perfect and every nook and cranny is covered.

It's no secret that I think Maitreya Gold shoes are the best in SL so I purchased the Allegra heels in Red to compliment the outfit.

This is what Chalice does after a hard day blogging...she lounges on her new Dormeuse Gossip Girl lounge from Lostangel.  Complete with magazines for reading and great poses, it provides a bit of girlie repose.

Catching Dreams With My Bizarre Hair.

According to the Native American Ojibway (Chippewa) tribe, dreams that humans have while asleep are sent by sacred spirits as messages.  According to their legend, in the middle of the Dream Catcher is a hole.  Good dreams are permitted to reach the sleeper through the hole in the web and bad dreams are trapped in the web only to disappear at dawn with the first light.  Usually hung over a child whilst sleeping, the Dream Catcher has become a popular object around the world.

MyStiCa Matova of Bizarre Hair has incorporated the charming Dream Catcher into a stunning style of the same name.  Shown here in Dirty Blonde, I just love the extra's in this hair pack.  The Dream Catcher can be attached at the front and back and comes with earrings and necklace (not shown here) included.  The little feathers, almost pale blue looking to me, are just perfect and the height of the hair allows enough room for the Dream Catcher's to show off their full effect.  Way to go MyStiCa.  Your eye for the dramatic makes these styles so perfect for models in both runway and photo shoots and of course, for bloggers wanting the unique..

Now on to my gorgeous dress.  This is another stunner from Aleida picked up from my shopping spree last week.  Its called "Wippy's Choice" (my choice too Wippy) and the lace work is exquisite.  With lovely bell sleeves, cummerbund with a spray of black flowers at the waist and plunging neckline edged with scalloped lace, its the LBD that will take you anywhere, but most likely to bed.

Somehow my hand slipped on the TP button and I ended up back at Similar Footwear AGAIN so I thought I'd grab another pair of heels...you know, since I was there and all.  This pair is called 'Poison' and at the front, they are held together with the daintiest of chain links with an option of silver or gold or even laces for a heavier look.  ME LOVES.  The ladies from Similar (Larisa Tylman and Simone Bonham - I think) have an amazing notecard that comes with the shoes explaining how best to match up your skin.  Stupid me only referred to it with this new purchase and I would have saved myself so much time if I'd just followed it in the first place.  I won't give it away because its their property and should be explained only when you purchase their shoes but I found it super easy.  I know some of you have an astute eye when it comes to skin tone matching but I am definitely challenged in this area...been in SL since 2007 and I still click aimlessly on the color palate or get my RGB all wrong..

With the Aleida dress, Bizarre Hair, Similar shoes, Glam Affair skin and my ultimate fave Label Mode bag, if I looked like this in RL, my Dream Catcher would be working overtime.

Do you know darlings, if SL profile search worked efficiently instead of taking forever to open, I'd be able to blog twice as fast.  I spend more time putting LM's on my blog than collectively taking pics and writing it up.

Let's Twist Again.

Crack open the Twister, Cha Cha's found the most adorable retro bikini from Kid Asia.  I loved it in the store and it looks even better worn.  I do have a thang for retro swimwear and this little number is right down my bowling alley. 

Aida Oxygen  from Aushka & Co. Poses sent me a lovely note and some wonderful poses from her last release, one of which is shown above.  Thank you ever so much Aida.  I LOVE your poses and will be using them a lot in my posts so please keep your eye out when I credit them in future.  Trying out new poses always makes me happy because when you think of it, they are so integral to our avatar when photographing fashion and good poses bring us all to life.

I picked up this Twister set a while ago from croire knowing it would come in handy for a shoot someday.

High On SLife.

Oh darlings I'm so behind in my blogging. There's so much I want to feature but there's so little time. Perhaps if SL didn't boot me out so much when I have shadows enabled or I didn't spend so much time in PS trying to make the most of my rather lackluster pictures, I might produce more. Alas, I think my creative juices have dehydrated some and I'm trying to get some fresh ideas in some very strange places and I've come to the conclusion that it's hard being a perfectionist when you're artistically challenged anyway.

Despite my dwindling mojo, I published regardless and I bring you a cute collection featuring the Ibizarre label. Anyusha Lilienthal has a great eye for texture and shape, managing to translate her designs into SL so wonderfully. The Summer Print Skirt and Summer Neckholder Top in Apple are such fun, well made pieces and I congratulate Anyusha for getting these so right. The top comes with it's own beaded necklace so that's an added bonus.

I nipped off to the CHIC birthday venue the other day and came across the Atomic Lien Skin in Ivory, a limited release. I adore the two options for sale. They are so delicate and feminine. I did add the cheLLe Rainbow Eye make up tattoo layer for some added lift given the colors matched well with the skirt and top.

SL has so much to offer these days that I mostly walk around the shops with my mouth dragging on the ground. I just wish I had more time to play.

I'm DeLa Arted.

This is without doubt my worst title ever BUT I am actually delighted with the new DeLa outfit called Leta. It's silky soft and the muted colors add an earthiness I love. I purchased the skirt and top in Indigo and for contrast, opted for the Sage jacket.

I love this because it's different and expresses a casual elegance. I went through my bag wardrobe and found the Dream Silver clutch from Baiastice a good match.

I think my new Grace heels from DeLa in Silver are a good fit too. The dekade skin has a fabulous hair layer with hair attachment and just perfectly understated to allow the outfit to feature.

I think Chalice looks very classy in this fabulous DeLa creation.

Boho With A Side Of Black.

I do appreciate a great print and a bold dash of color. I found this little boutique style shop a couple of days ago on the Juicy sim. Called Boho (designer Redsoledrea Gossipgirl), I found a modest but fabulous selection of pieces and I fell in love with this top called 'Donna' shown here in Venetian Red.  Sits perfectly and the bow on the cleavage really well placed.  Looking forward to more from Ms Gossipgirl.

I lucked in with a couple of great freebies. The necklace is from Justice and the bag from Meiling, both group gifts.  You know you love the gifts when you would definitely buy them.  Thank you darlings.

I'm in love with my new BIG hair called Momo from Vanity Hair, a recent release. I so love Tabata Jewell's imagination and execution when it comes to cutting edge hair. Me hearts you big time.

The leather Oleta shorts are a new purchase from Ibizarre although the fab little stockings 'n' suspenders purchased from Barbee may not be available these days; however were produced by Natsu Serevi if you wanted to contact her in world.
