The Givers Of SL

I had a really good time putting this together.  Half my attention was on purchasing pieces and the other on discovering some new places I hadn't been before.  In amongst that I was perusing the feeds and thought I'd mention two people and their blog who really add such positivity to our blogging community.  Casja Lillihook and Gidge Uriza's blog, It's Only Fashion, take the time to give credit to bloggers when they feel their artistry and creativity deserve merit.  I think its a lovely idea and I really enjoy their 'Fast Five' posts immensely. With so much going on in SL and the vast amount of information that bombards us, its so easy to miss some really special posts.  Their commentary makes me stop a moment and appreciate the talents among you all that in all sorts of ways, keeps me interested and engaged in SL.  Bravo Casja and Gidge.  I think that giving out bouquet's says a lot about the people that you are.

Now on to my outfit.  Oooo ahhhh, I'm in love with the top (Celoe) and pants (ElyMode) in this ensemble.  I don't know what Elysium Eilde of Elymode does with her textures because they are so polished and perfect.  All of her clothing are distinctive in that her entire collection is cohesive and you know it's Elymode.  To me this is quite rare in SL, because I don't often see a piece and know immediately who designed it.  She also creates awesome eye make up among many other things so even more reason to visit.

The ultra feminine mesh top is called 'Rhonda' from Celoe.  I love the russet colors and waist bow which like all Celoe items, sits so perfectly on the body and screams quality.

The bag, necklace and hair band are from Tram...I swear I can't stay away from that shop.  The shoes are the latest release from Maitreya Gold called 'Suave' which they certainly are.

From the feeds, I noticed this wonderful sim called 'Small Town Green' and headed there to take my snaps.  Seriously beautiful and well worth the time to slowly explore all the nooks and crannies.

Oh and I changed my blog interface just for a change.  Wish I was more creative because I know how I want it to look but can't quite get it there...YET.

Are you all looking forward to Monday?  Maybe Berry has another Meme for us??????

Here, Have An M&M.

Have you ever visited designer Moreno Forwzy's M&M store?  I did today after finding a dress sent to me ages ago to blog and was mightily surprised at the expanse of outfits that covers three floors.  There were some really amazing outfits and I found that the two mesh dresses I am showing, fit Cha Cha really well in the large size.  No having to change my shape...they just covered everything.  I also purchased the dark hair shown below.  Its such a cute style and was only L$90.  The dresses, Frill Top Mini (Pink) and Triangle Dress (knit), were only L$50 each.  I mean you can't get better than that.

Take a trip to M&M when you have some time to spare and I'm sure you will be surprised by many of the looks she has created and the amount of mesh items for sale.  It just takes time to slowly browse each vendor poster to see what you like.  Of course, with so many outfits, not all are going to resonate, but there is some terrific stuff at amazing prices.

I'm also wearing two styles of shoes from BSD Design Studio, the Rhapsody and A-List Celebrity respectively.

Thank you to Tiffy Vella from Eclectica Jewellery for the fabulous Harikoa jewellery set shown in the second look.  God you can make jewellery.

Bite My Apricot.

I am showing another pair of Lindy's Modern and Retro Heels that I purchased recently. The two pairs of Lindy's that I have at the moment are so easy to fit and the prices are fantastic. I popped on Amarelo Manga's winter/fall dress called Valery in Orange and I think the two compliment well.  I adore the detail at the back of this dress - brilliant work to the designer, Luana Barzane Akina.  Again I used the 'It Starts With A Smile' sim to take the pics.

Oh and a big 'get well' to the Queen of England.  I hope you recover from your bout of gastro very soon.

Catching Dreams With My Bizarre Hair.

According to the Native American Ojibway (Chippewa) tribe, dreams that humans have while asleep are sent by sacred spirits as messages.  According to their legend, in the middle of the Dream Catcher is a hole.  Good dreams are permitted to reach the sleeper through the hole in the web and bad dreams are trapped in the web only to disappear at dawn with the first light.  Usually hung over a child whilst sleeping, the Dream Catcher has become a popular object around the world.

MyStiCa Matova of Bizarre Hair has incorporated the charming Dream Catcher into a stunning style of the same name.  Shown here in Dirty Blonde, I just love the extra's in this hair pack.  The Dream Catcher can be attached at the front and back and comes with earrings and necklace (not shown here) included.  The little feathers, almost pale blue looking to me, are just perfect and the height of the hair allows enough room for the Dream Catcher's to show off their full effect.  Way to go MyStiCa.  Your eye for the dramatic makes these styles so perfect for models in both runway and photo shoots and of course, for bloggers wanting the unique..

Now on to my gorgeous dress.  This is another stunner from Aleida picked up from my shopping spree last week.  Its called "Wippy's Choice" (my choice too Wippy) and the lace work is exquisite.  With lovely bell sleeves, cummerbund with a spray of black flowers at the waist and plunging neckline edged with scalloped lace, its the LBD that will take you anywhere, but most likely to bed.

Somehow my hand slipped on the TP button and I ended up back at Similar Footwear AGAIN so I thought I'd grab another pair of heels...you know, since I was there and all.  This pair is called 'Poison' and at the front, they are held together with the daintiest of chain links with an option of silver or gold or even laces for a heavier look.  ME LOVES.  The ladies from Similar (Larisa Tylman and Simone Bonham - I think) have an amazing notecard that comes with the shoes explaining how best to match up your skin.  Stupid me only referred to it with this new purchase and I would have saved myself so much time if I'd just followed it in the first place.  I won't give it away because its their property and should be explained only when you purchase their shoes but I found it super easy.  I know some of you have an astute eye when it comes to skin tone matching but I am definitely challenged in this area...been in SL since 2007 and I still click aimlessly on the color palate or get my RGB all wrong..

With the Aleida dress, Bizarre Hair, Similar shoes, Glam Affair skin and my ultimate fave Label Mode bag, if I looked like this in RL, my Dream Catcher would be working overtime.

Do you know darlings, if SL profile search worked efficiently instead of taking forever to open, I'd be able to blog twice as fast.  I spend more time putting LM's on my blog than collectively taking pics and writing it up.

Chalice wishes you all a happy day and again, if you have any LM's to share of smart looking runway's, please share them in-world.  No-one responded last time and I feel a bit emo  :-(

I'm Dishy Cause I'm Dressed By Jack Spoon.

Hey Diddle Diddle...today I'm focusing on two tops from the label 'Jack Spoon'.  The designer is well known blogger of the fabulous Pratukessaibas,.Steffy Ghost.

Get a load of this cute as can be top called 'Polka Moused'.  Immediately I fished out my 'Captain Mouse Helmet' from Ladies Who Lunch'.  Fortunately for me and my need to accessorize, the helmet is modifiable so I set about changing the colors to really make it mine.

Hair: Marielle 11 in Swedish by Truth.
Skin: Daphne 08 make up by Glance Skins.
Freckle Tattoo: By Glance Skins.
Make Up Tattoo: Aeree by Miamai.
Eyes: Sunrise Eyes in Pale Blue by Fashism.
Nails: By Pixel Mode.
Top: Polka Moused by Jack Spoon.
Pants: Angry Leggings by Whippet and Buck.
Bag: Connie in Black from Bare Rose.
Hat: Captain Mouse Helmet from Ladies Who Lunch.
Shoes: Troupe Shoes from Miel.
Necklace and Bracelet: Sante Fe set by Amorous.
Ring: Claddagh by Eclectica Jewelery.
Picture location: Fan Limited Store.

Now I bring you look two wearing the 'Santana' top from Jack Spoon.  WOW what can I say.  It so, so, so ME.  The colors are splendid and its not often you see such fine texturing and vividness.  I went to town shopping for accessories and found this 'Friendo' necklace again from Miel.  It comes with a HUD that allows you to personalize the message.  Because I'm so forgetful, I put my name on it.  The beads and fine leather straps are a wonderful touch and this is as realistic as you get in SL.

I found this lovely heart necklace called 'Boom Boom Pendant' from Label Mode.  Cheap too.  I kept searching until I found this fab bag and bracelet at Emery both with great blue tones.  I say if you can't find it at Emery, it just ain't made yet..

I enjoyed my shop-a-thon styling these outfits all built around my two new Jack Spoon tops which I adore.  Great work Ms Steffy.  I can't wait to see more...watch this space.

Without doubt, this has been the most labor intensive post I've ever written purely by the fact that the search capability in SL is totally flawed.  It has literally taken me forever to get the LM's for this post.  LL please do SOMETHING.

I'm Smoking In Vero Modero.

Who doesn't love a little Vero Modero?  A walk around the store is a delight for the senses and I couldn't resist this sex-il-icious powder blue top with a botanical print called 'Blossom'.  I teamed it with Vero's Marine Low Rise Bermuda pants in crisp white with golden buttons for a summer look with punch.

I've been meaning to show you this cute bag from Boom from the Yip collection called 'Take It Easy'.  I again brought out my scrummy Grace sandals with fur from DeLa

My talons are lethal weapons from the Milky Nails collection complete with oversize rings from Mandala.  Such a beautiful addition to the hands while frightening off a would be attacker at 50 paces.  A new addition to the jewelery collection is this eye popping necklace and earrings set called 'Opulence' from Eclectica Jewelery recently sent from Tiffy Vella to blog.  The intricate collection of various jewels is gorgeous.

I'm wearing a great hair style from Truth called Isla that I've shown with Truth's hair base in the Swedish tone.  Very versatile 'do' that works so well when you want to show off interesting necklines.  Boho Beauty sent out a blogger review skin called 'Frost Bitten' shown here in the Milky tone.  For dramatic effect I added the 'Love My Eyes' liner and mascara tattoo from Boom and thick eyeliner mascara from Les petits Details.  My ciggie is from NicotiN.

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas day as I did.  Everything was in excess and I loved it.  Bring on New Year :-)

There's Power In The Flower.

You know you're wardrobe is in a bad way when you can't find the new coat you recently purchased.  I've been searching high and low for my new acquisition from Peqe, a stunning floral coat called 'Pacific'  I just assumed it hadn't arrived when there it was...voila.

Styling this look was lots of fun if not a bit of a challenge.  I wanted to create a romantic and feminine look with an old world feel.  Coats/jacket's can be tricky little things but Peqe has nailed it with a great drape to the coat that gives the impression of flowing material and the puffy prim sleeves match really well with the pattern of the jacket layer.

I racked my brain thinking about what I would wear under the coat and recalled this outfit I purchased so long ago from Redgrave called Nude Body Suit.  God knows if it's still available but I loved it for the delicate diamante detail at the hem of the shorts, shirt bottom and neckline.

I've been holding onto this Christiana headpiece from Donna Flora for a while now eager to wear it with something that would do it justice.  I love this hat to smithereens.  I raided the jewel box big time for this look and draped myself in the Chicago Diamante selection (earrings, necklace and bracelet) from Eclectica.Jewelery.  If you want quality, go Eclectica shopping.  I also brought out my big gun Trinity Ring from Modern Gypsy that is akin to a bling-ified knuckle duster.  Yay for you Micah.

To finish off my floral Lolita look, I snapped up this hat box called 'Faded Fragrance' from Le Poppycock.  Loving that shine and luster on the bag...Amazing work Julliette Bade.  Your shop is fabulous.

My Big Black Dress from Sascha's Designs.

Sasha Frangilli, designer and owner of Sascha's Designs sent me this formal gown she named Pencarrow early in the month and I'm afraid I have been MIA since I received it.  As I've stated in my blog blurb, in the main I blog what I like rather than 'road test' items.  This may change if I want to take the blog in another direction, but for the moment I continue to enjoy putting together looks I like.  Whilst I'm not a big gown wearer, I did have fun styling this classic black formal that I consider another quality item from Sascha's.

And she wore:

Hair base and attachment: From Paper Couture.

I'm A Lady Who Lunches.

Sometimes you purchase one item because you love it and then wonder, 'what am I going to do with this'? I've been sitting on this OTS Tutu in mint from Ladies Who Lunch for ages because I knew it would take a bit of effort to style given the item only consisted of the prim Tutu and nothing else. Regardless, I hoped that if I could sift through my stuff and find something I liked to go with it, I might achieve a one off look that I was satisfied with.

I rather like what I've thrown together which come from a few different sources. Unlike a normal tutu that sits on the waist, this delight is asymmetrical and travels around one shoulder sort of like a crazy sash that Miss Universe/World would receive. I loved the mint color but it is available in a good selection of other color options. Great job to the ladies who make things for the Ladies Who Lunch

I remembered the Rare headpiece from LaGyo I purchased the other day because I loved the huge ribbon effect. I simply can't get enough of hats and hairpieces and LaGyo has some stunners.

I've been enjoying all the mesh products on the feeds but am loathe to download V3 just yet when V2 is actually working for me. I might become mesh-ified when I get my new super-dooper fast computer.

Skin: Jadis V2 in light from Glam Affair.

The Magic Of Mandala Jewelery.

I remember when I first viewed the displays at Mandala and how at that moment, I realized that SL jewelery had taken on a whole new realm. Designer Kikunosuke Eel had somehow taken the limitations inherent in SL and blown them out the water. Not only are his pieces aesthetically magnificent, they are entirely functional and you just know how much work has gone into each detail to ensure it works with an avatar.

When I received a note card a couple of days ago promoting some new releases at Mandala, I couldn't get there quickly enough once I spied the Kabuki range.

I opted for the Kabuki necklace and earrings; however, there is a bracelet/ring/nail package available as well. Kikunosuke is also the owner of Tempura Island and to celebrate the sims third anniversary, he made Kabuki for this occasion.

Now I love a fine set of talons like any self respecting diva and Mandala have released a flamboyant set called Milky Nails complete with detachable rings. Anyone for a back scratch?

The credit goes to....

Lamb for my Witch hair in Powder.
LAQ for my Elena Glow Skin in Pale.
LAQ for my Dazzling Ice Blue eyes.
Divine for my Femme Fatale Silver eye shadow.
Priss for my One Shoulder Satin top.
DeLa for my Linda Leather pants in Silver.
DeLa for my Grace Sandals in Silver.
Septem Essentials for my Sway bag in Silver.
Eclectica for my Deco Knot bracelet in Silver.
Mandala for my Kabuki necklace, earrings and the Milky Nails.

And to YOU for reading my blog.

There's Something About Agnes.

If you haven't left Orientation Island yet, I forgive you for not knowing Agnes Finney's clothing label, My Precious. Anyone who has a modicum of interest in SL fashion will know the amazing brand that Agnes has created. Apart from the uber huge success of My Precious Queen competition run annually, Agnes' designs have graced the biggest and the best. Imagine my delight when Ms Finney inquired if I, lil' ole me, would be interested in blogging her Rosaline gown in all three colors. The ink wasn't dry when I returned the note card and sure enough, three Rosaline dresses were delivered toute de suite.

Gorgeous, amazing, stunning...I could go on all day but lets allow the dress to do the talking shall we?
