My Life Would Suck Without You.

I love to find new locations to shoot and I have a little secret blog I visit that features new sims.  Possibly many of you know about it but I promised I wouldn't reveal it when someone shared it with me, so I'm keeping shtum.  I keep my promises you see and even if you tortured me to get the link I wouldn't tell but give me every shoe from Gos and I may weaken.  Well I found this great sim called deSiderium and that LM I will share with you. :-)

Today I'm black on black but with a side of grey.  I found this cute little dress from Bubble called 'Balloon Elipse' dress and I love the material and pattern.  Luckily I found some knit leggings from Drop that I think work well with the texture.

I forgot I had this hair but when I found it I was thrilled.  Its a lovely texture and has little pins at the side holding a small plait and is from [M]unati Bodyshop Store.

Two of my favorite things are this gorgeous bag called 'Valentine Bow Tote' from Cherry and the 'Shiki' shoes from Maitreya.  I purchased the fat pack so have a plethora of colors to play with.

You can't get me out of my new Ginevra skin from Izzies and the fact that it comes with a vast array of eye shadow and lip options makes it even more fabulous.  I popped on my 'Pety Bracelets' from Pure Poison...they are wonderful pieces of jewellery.  I also can't take off my 'Voyante Gemstone' rings from Je Suis.

I really, really want to participate in Berry's 'Surrealism Challenge' but I can't seem to tap in to my creative juices...I wonder if I actually have any.   I am going to have a go at it although I fear the outcome will be more fart than art.  :-)  Until next time.....

We Need Black And White And Every Shade In Between.

While life's not black and white, Cha certainly is.  I've been going through my 'To Blog' folder and found this 'Horizon' mesh mini skirt from Boom.  Skirts have been one of the biggest winners with the introduction of mesh in my opinion.  I remember the old skirts with prim parts that never seemed to stay in place.  So I set about creating a look around the skirt.

Determined not to simply go out and buy a top but check my brimming folder for something, I found the 'Elsa' shirt from Crazy Clothes.

The hair is a new release from LeLutka called 'Sato'.

The fab belt is from LeLutka called 'Mi Vida' belt and hugs the waist perfectly.  The scarf I picked up at Zeery's called 'Kingdom Animalia Silk Scarf' in Zebra print.  If you're looking for great scarves, go to Zeery's.  The necklace was a group gift from Pure Poison so get yourself joined up because Ms Shaleene Kenin is very generous with sending her members fabulous gifts.

The bag I picked up at CheerNo when it catered for women so is possibly no longer available but you could ask CheerNo's owner if the bag is still in existence and he is willing to sell it.  It's a great bag called 'Kamala' and looks great with the outfit.

The 'Salience' shoes with socks I purchased from Maitreya when they had their last sale...let me tell you, I was clicking everything like a man woman possessed.  I love these shoes and this was the first time I tried them on.  I always felt that the Salience shoe should have received shoe of the year when they initially came out if there was such an award.

Now on to my Flickr pics.  I simply cannot believe how many hits I have received when I check my stats.  Nearly 7,000 yesterday and well up in the thousands most days.  OMG what's happened lately? While I try to see life with 'the glass half full' mentality, I was suspicious that maybe Flickr was broken but no...people are actually looking at my pics :-)  Thank you so much Flickrites.  I consider that an honor.  Now if only I could get those 7000 to hit up my blog lol.

Now Listen To Me Skin Makers.

Here in dear old Melbourne it's cold, raining and windy so its just as well I can virtually enjoy a summers day wearing a gorgeous floral summer dress to cheer me up.  This is another outfit from the label ASO aptly called 'Summer Dress' in flower pink.  There are a plethora of options available for every taste but girly me chose pink.  Bravo to designer Menieelee Gelles for this fabulous dress.

Its ever so pretty and I'm truly appreciating the ability of mesh to provide such realistic folds and drape.  The hair I chose is another from 'Hair Fair', this time from LeLutka called 'Alvina' shown with the pony tail option.  The necklace is a beauty from Malt and has color change options for the beads so I chose pink, green and white.  The bracelet on the left was a gift sent out to members of Pixel Box and on the right from C'est la vie.

The cute clutch I purchased on Marketplace from a store called Avale.  Beautifully made - just look at the leather folds which make it ever so realistic.

Here's another view of the bag.  I donned some cool white sunnies from Ison when the sun came out.

I purchased the fat pack of these shoes when Maitreya had their sale recently.  Just look at the work in them...those heels are so lovely and resemble snake skin which is an option with the shoes.  Called 'Shiki', I am so grateful that I could fat pack not feeling so guilty when the 50% sale was on.

Here's another really lovely sim I just discovered called 'Black Forest'.  I get such a buzz finding new places where clever people have created some kind of wonderful with amazing attention to detail.

ACHTUNG SKIN MAKERS:

Now I'm not a whinging whiny person by nature but I feel I must speak up on behalf of all lovers of SLINK hands and feet.  Why aren't more skin makers creating hand and feet skin appliers so we can all enjoy delightful digits rather than the crumby ugly ones on the stock standard avatar?  Please, PLEASE provide these in your store. I personally cannot imagine why you don't because I've reched the stage where I won't buy skins unless these are available.  I'm rubbish at manual matching and won't even try.  I'm sure I'm not alone in this so do us all a favor and get on board.

Hey, Hey, It's Nearly Bandana Day!

I knew it!  I knew it!  The creators and designers who contributed to Bandana Day in aid of Wigs For Kids have outdone themselves this year.  For those who don't know, it's Bandana Day tomorrow (Sunday 29th July) and that means take off your fabulous hair and whip on a fabulous bandana purchased exclusively from Hair Fair 2013.  At only $50L a bandana, I'm sure you can stretch the budget to purchase a few knowing that every cent will contribute to providing wigs for kids in need.

Here are a few of my favorites created by the talented people behind SL Fashion Passion blog, Zaara, Virtually Dressed blog, LeLutka, OhMai and Mel Vanbeeck.

I wanted to mention my jumper, shirt and leggings that I recently purchased from a store I hadn't heard of before called JP:dsg,  The designer, Jasper Potez has some amazing items and these pieces are no exception.  The jumper is simply unreal.  You know when you purchase something and you aren't sure how it'll look and then when you pop it on you just love it?  This was one of those times.

Anyway sweeties...PLEASE go get some bandana's and show the world how beautiful you are without your hair.

The Givers Of SL

I had a really good time putting this together.  Half my attention was on purchasing pieces and the other on discovering some new places I hadn't been before.  In amongst that I was perusing the feeds and thought I'd mention two people and their blog who really add such positivity to our blogging community.  Casja Lillihook and Gidge Uriza's blog, It's Only Fashion, take the time to give credit to bloggers when they feel their artistry and creativity deserve merit.  I think its a lovely idea and I really enjoy their 'Fast Five' posts immensely. With so much going on in SL and the vast amount of information that bombards us, its so easy to miss some really special posts.  Their commentary makes me stop a moment and appreciate the talents among you all that in all sorts of ways, keeps me interested and engaged in SL.  Bravo Casja and Gidge.  I think that giving out bouquet's says a lot about the people that you are.

Now on to my outfit.  Oooo ahhhh, I'm in love with the top (Celoe) and pants (ElyMode) in this ensemble.  I don't know what Elysium Eilde of Elymode does with her textures because they are so polished and perfect.  All of her clothing are distinctive in that her entire collection is cohesive and you know it's Elymode.  To me this is quite rare in SL, because I don't often see a piece and know immediately who designed it.  She also creates awesome eye make up among many other things so even more reason to visit.

The ultra feminine mesh top is called 'Rhonda' from Celoe.  I love the russet colors and waist bow which like all Celoe items, sits so perfectly on the body and screams quality.

The bag, necklace and hair band are from Tram...I swear I can't stay away from that shop.  The shoes are the latest release from Maitreya Gold called 'Suave' which they certainly are.

From the feeds, I noticed this wonderful sim called 'Small Town Green' and headed there to take my snaps.  Seriously beautiful and well worth the time to slowly explore all the nooks and crannies.

Oh and I changed my blog interface just for a change.  Wish I was more creative because I know how I want it to look but can't quite get it there...YET.

Are you all looking forward to Monday?  Maybe Berry has another Meme for us??????

Bizarre Hair Affair - Part 3

'Ello Ladies and Germs.  Here is the last post in my Bizarre Hair trilogy and I can tell you I've had a blast styling a look to compliment each do.  Shown here is 'Retro' and the hair wisps, hair band, earrings and a necklace (not shown) accompany it. I hope you all get behind this designer and her fabulous hair because I consider myself a bit of a hair aficionado, and this is GREAT-A-LICIOUS.

Now look at my dress dear fashion freaks and take in the subtle details of the material, cut and edging.  I found this at Sur+ called 'Vojeto'. I just love this dress.  I also loving my new purchase Elephant Bag from Tokidoki.

Lucky me logged in tonight and what do I find?  Another Bizarre box waiting for me.  Now that is a happy day:-:

Don't Go For Second Best Baby...VoguE.

I went shopping at VoguE last night and was so pleasantly surprised by all the fabulous outfits.  Designer Zalyn Bailey has created a huge clothing collection from lingerie to formal ball gowns and everything in between.  I particularly loved the items to the left of the store as you enter and I wondered if these pieces may be her newest designs because of the superb quality and in my opinion, there was a more stylized aesthetic to the clothes.

The color of this dress just drew me in and my bank balance didn't stand a chance.  The dress is called 'Joan' ($299L) in Olive and the detail on the texture and intricate shading brings this dress to life.  Close up it simply knocks my socks off.  I also purchased the 'Marilla' Jacket {$299L) in Onyx with a stiff peaked collar and 'Sharmine' Stole ($80L) also in Olive.  For eyes that pop, I added VoguE Model tattoo Eye Makeup (Series 2-F $50L) and am confident to bat an eyelid in anyone's direction.  Don't take my word for it, go VoguE, go VoguE.

I keep crediting him post after post, but I wanted to officially thank Ikon Inovia, the eye designer from Fashism for giving us the most stunning peepers in SL.  You must know our souls pretty well by now darling.

The other stuff:
Hair: Suzy Chouchou in Platinum from Kik ($100L)
Skin: Bella in Pale (Forrest make up) by Redgrave 10 skins with blood red lip tattoo ($1490L)
Nails: Pixel Mode Sculpted Nail Kit ($300L)
Earrings: Black Lace from Glow Studio
Bangles: Mandala
Clutch: Camelia Pochette by Baiastice
Shoes: Allure with Socks from Maitreya
Eyes: Sunrise Eye collection in Pale Mint from Fashism ($150L)

Perhaps I'm being a bitchy blogger but do others wish that sometimes a designer would stop by their blog from time to time just to acknowledge your efforts when you showcase their creation(s)??  I guess I'm contradicting myself because I do blog because I love it and not for external reward; however, I rarely ever get any form of acknowledgement...just a 'thanks for that' or 'I like what you did'.  Maybe I'm just hormonal and it won't stop me doing what I love but just a little SOMETHING just to know they've seen it would be nice.  What do others think?  See, now I've scared everyone off.

Meena - NEW STORE Making Afghanistan Bohemian Inspired Clothing..

This amazing shawl and waist sash are just two items of many available at a new store called 'Meena'.  An off-shoot of BoHo HoBo, designer Trill Zapatero, describes her clothing designs for Meena as 'Afghanistan Bohemian', a hybrid of tradition Afghan and western clothing.  The richness of the textures and the vivid patterns and colors make these clothing items pop.  Check out the Meena vendor poster.

Meena Vendor Poster.

As I have said before and totally stand by, Trill makes AMAZING clothing that always work on my avatar.  In my opinion you won't get better quality for the absolutely reasonable prices she charges.

As you can see, the mix 'n' match versatility of these pieces provides a stunning fusion of east meets west.  Using the waist sash and shawl as my inspiration, I chose to wear only a sleek hair base from Cashmere to elongate the neck to take the shawl.

I found this cable knit body suit in 'ember glow' from The Secret Store and then came upon the pencil skirt in 'quarry' that I thought would bring out the blue hues.  I opted for a strong makeup from my Claudia 2 fat pack from LAQ and wore an earthy earring and bracelet set called Adele from Indyra Originals.

You simply must check out the bags at Bare Rose.  I'm so impressed with them and they are better in the flesh than the pictures. This bag is called 'Bellissima' in wine but there's so many fab styles to choose from.  The quality totally surprised me. On my right hand (camera) is a great bracelet from Miel called Chum.  Maitreya Gold Allure shoes n socks finish me off and I'm ready to spread some color wherever I go.

Do drop by Meena and pick up something to make you happy while at the same time, all proceeds from this store go RAWA, the Revolutionary Association of the Women of Afghanistan.

These shots were taken at The Nest - Home & Garden Shopping Town.  Great sim for photo's guys not to mention shopping for your home and garden needs.

There's Power In The Flower.

You know you're wardrobe is in a bad way when you can't find the new coat you recently purchased.  I've been searching high and low for my new acquisition from Peqe, a stunning floral coat called 'Pacific'  I just assumed it hadn't arrived when there it was...voila.

Styling this look was lots of fun if not a bit of a challenge.  I wanted to create a romantic and feminine look with an old world feel.  Coats/jacket's can be tricky little things but Peqe has nailed it with a great drape to the coat that gives the impression of flowing material and the puffy prim sleeves match really well with the pattern of the jacket layer.

I racked my brain thinking about what I would wear under the coat and recalled this outfit I purchased so long ago from Redgrave called Nude Body Suit.  God knows if it's still available but I loved it for the delicate diamante detail at the hem of the shorts, shirt bottom and neckline.

I've been holding onto this Christiana headpiece from Donna Flora for a while now eager to wear it with something that would do it justice.  I love this hat to smithereens.  I raided the jewel box big time for this look and draped myself in the Chicago Diamante selection (earrings, necklace and bracelet) from Eclectica.Jewelery.  If you want quality, go Eclectica shopping.  I also brought out my big gun Trinity Ring from Modern Gypsy that is akin to a bling-ified knuckle duster.  Yay for you Micah.

To finish off my floral Lolita look, I snapped up this hat box called 'Faded Fragrance' from Le Poppycock.  Loving that shine and luster on the bag...Amazing work Julliette Bade.  Your shop is fabulous.

Swim With Kim.

A recent visit to Kim had me day dreaming about the Maldives, cocktails, massages at the spa and snorkeling through crystal waters.  The designer/owner of Kim, Kimberley Flagon,  makes the most amazing swimwear and as you can see, with just a little accessorizing, you can cut a swathe of fabulousness throughout the resort.

Kim has so much more than swimwear and has been operating since May 2009.  God knows how I missed this gem of a store but hey, it's a big world.

People do really need to lighten up in SL.  The other day I was tp'ing to a well known shopping sim that I wasn't aware had closed.  I unfortunately tp'd on the verandah of somebody's home and got hit by lag.  I keep receiving messages from the home owner saying 'why are you in my house?', 'don't you know this is my land?', 'go away' and was finally ejected.  I was completely frozen so couldn't respond to explain that she just happened to now be living in the same spot as a very popular shopping center. I did look at her profile afterwards however and saw that she was 2 weeks old.  She'll learn :-))

Town and Country in Chantkare.

I couldn't resist this outfit from Chantkare called 'Country' that I purchased at Modavia Fashion Week. WOW what a combo. Regal taffeta skirt with drapes and folds pairs perfectly with a country tweed jacket adorned with traditional leather buttons. If I loved it any more, I'd marry it. Conservative yet the glimpse of midriff sexes it up.

I'm also loving this new hair and base from Paper Couture. More, more hair Lu ladies. You've done a marvelous job with this, in fact, it's my favorite base thus far, ever, ever.

As you can see, I've had a little blog make over and hope you like it. I needed a little whitewash in my life.

Wrap Me Up In Dutchie.

When Froukje Hoorenbeek, the Diva of Dutchie, sent me these silk bath robe's ages ago, I was intent on blogging them as soon as time would allow. Well my darling Froukje, time is mine enemy and it's taken me this long to put it together...sorry sweetie. BUT it doesn't diminish the fabulousness of these sexy, silky wraps that Froukje has lovingly made for those of us who love the finer things in life. Her color selection is rich...bold black, virginal white, sexy salmon and fiery red accommodate all our before bed persona's.

Now Froukje thinks of everything and the robe is scripted and has options for that perfect fit. Lure your lover into the boudoir wearing Dutchie if you dare. This should come with a warning.

These photo's were taken in front of one of Froukje's amazing beds at Dutchie's skybox apartment called Pied-a-terre The Hague. Gorgeous space and is for sale either furnished or unfurnished.

Grey And Red Ain't Dead.

Out on one of my shopping expeditions a while back, I stopped by Gato and immediately noticed the pattern on this dress called 'Vogue'. Not only did the pattern speak to me in a seductive tone saying 'come on Chal, buy me you tight arsed cow', I loved the fire engine red shirt insert at the bodice. Because I'm 150 foot tall in SL, the dress was a tad short so I added grey leggings from Oyakin for decency's sake.

I purchased the Lap Top bag in fire brick red from LeLutka a while ago waiting to add it to something and brought it out of moth balls for this outfit. I am in TOTAL love with the Ladies Who Lunch label (LWL) of Faint Paulse. I grabbed the Alejandro headdress and Gaga glasses from LWL so quickly I broke a nail. Lucky for me, my Pixel Mode sculpted nails grow very quickly.

No lungs were damaged in the making of this outfit. These cigarette's from Di's Opera Fatale pose series are herbal.

Chalice Wears Jovan By Angel Dessous.

Click pictures for more detail.

Mirror, mirror on the wall.
Who's the most angelic of them all?
Well Chalice is today wearing Angel Dessous' new Jovan gown.

Don't mean to boast or anything but it's the gown. The gown I tell you. It is without doubt, a heaven sent piece of couture. Sent to me from the design house of Jezzy McCallen's Angel Dessous Couture, the Jovan is an exquisite, perfectly formed gown with a the most amazing folds that make up the skirt. A stunning bow sits low at the waist with a matching drape of material that floats delicately to the floor. If that isn't enough, a fur and feather collar frames the face adding just the right amount of drama without being too tizzy.

Jovan is also available in a white skirt with black top and black skirt with a white top.

A special detail is the gossamer fine layer of tulle that is attached to the skirt bringing it to life even more. The gown is an artwork on it's own so I felt simple accessorizing was best.

Thank you to Angel Dessous for sharing this gorgeous gown with me. The black on black in particular is right down my avenue and this will be my special gown for special occasions. You have to wear it to believe how beautiful it is.
