Sea The Beautiful Coral.

Well the Melbourne Cup has just been run and won by a lady trainer...yay the girls :-)  I personally can't watch horse racing as I would just be a basket case if I saw one of the horses hurt but the Melbourne Cup is a special day in the Spring Racing calender and I prefer to watch the fashion instead.  OMG there was some amazing outfits with hats featuring highly.  Where else but in the land of Oz would you get a day off for a horse race? lol

Today I have a cute outfit with bright coral top and tote.  The top is a recent purchase from Indie Rose and being a lover of this color, couldn't resist.  I also bought the 'Leather Swan Tote' from Le Primitif in the coral color so top + bag = fabulous!

I found this sexy windswept do at TuTy's called 'Extremist Volume'.  It would drive me crazy having hair permanently hanging over one eye but Chalice doesn't seem to mind.  She'll do anything for fashion the sexy strumpet that she is.

The top has sex appeal too as it cut's away giving a little side boob action.  The pants are from LeeZu called 'Madison' pants in the color Snow.  LeeZu has some absolutely fabulous new designs in store so if you haven't visited for a while, you really should go check out all that wonderful newness.

These super cool heels and socks are also from LeeZu called 'Claudette' and come with a color change hud which gives you heaps of options and versatility to wear with lots of clothes.

I've been a slack old tart with blogging recently but have been looking after someone who had an operation and is staying with me.  Be back to full steam soon.  Keep on being spicy my little fashion lovers :-)

Haughty Houndstooth.

I'm loving the shop Little Bones and recently picked up this smart woolen jacket with houndstooth scarf called 'Liberty Cinched Coat'.  Considering that good fashion lay in the finer details, I love the slip of a leather belt with skull motif clinched in at the waist. Given in 1959, Christian Dior used the black and white houndstooth motif on a line of court shoes, many other fashion houses have since incorporated the print in their fashion lines over the years and was adopted by the upper class as a symbol of wealth.  I love the juxtaposition of the not so overly tailored cut of the woolen jacket with the scarf that is the epitome of high fashion couture.

I managed to find a houndstooth bag from IAF (Designer: Amber Swallowtail) and thought some short gloves would make a smart statement.  These were from Nemesis which is unfortunately now closed but regardless, there are heaps of great shops selling gloves.  I wore two tone tights in black and grey from Sleeping Koala. You'll see in the shoe shot below that the tights are one color in the front and another in the back.

I wanted ear clips rather than dangly ones that would be hidden in the scarf and wore 'Voyante Plain Ear Clips' that are color change from Je Suis.  My bangle is called 'Stone Age' from Gizza.  My neat little bun is from Paper Couture....make me more of these PC PLEASE.  Your texturing of the tattoo layer hair is second to none.

Now are these not a work of art?  I LOVE my GOS 'Storm Sandals to bits.

I Worked It Out With A Pencil.

Anyone for a pencil?  Just ask me, I've got plenty in my hat.  I pulled together a neat little look awash with autumn colors but could be great to wear at the races.  I say the races as it's coming up to the Melbourne Cup and in general, the Spring Racing Carnival.  I found the dress at Indie Rose called the 'Peplum' dress featuring the obligatory ruffle sewn at the waist.  The cute pencil hat is from Xen's Hats.

The skin is a new release from Redgrave called 'Liv' and I have it on good authority, Ms Redgrave herself, that she will be releasing Slink hand and feet appliers soon...YAY.  It's a beautiful skin in the pale tone with a lovely selection of make ups and tattoo lipsticks at an affordable price.

The bag is a little beauty from Je Suis called 'Coquet'.  Loving the black trim and bow.

The hair is one of the new releases from Truth called 'Harley'.  Windswept and short, it a lovely style.

The shoes are from Essenz called 'Lisbon' in brown.

The Beauty Of Aboriginal Art.

Today I'm blogging an outfit very close to my heart because part of it depicts our wonderful Aboriginal heritage and the stunning art our indigenous people create.  To me there is nothing more beautiful than Aboriginal art and the stories behind each symbol are amazing.  Not that I'm an expert but I sincerely appreciate the fact that our land, Australia, was inhabited by people with incredible survival skills that put us settlers to shame.  We all know that Australia was not Terra Nullius (Latin for land belonging to no-one) and that the British lied when they claimed this country as a colony.  The Aboriginal people were killed and treated abominably and for that I am ashamed and in my opinion we should never forget it and know that the word 'sorry' doesn't even come close to it being alright.  Although we must move forward but at the same time we should never forget our history is not a glorious one.  Obviously its a contentious issue but this is my firm belief particularly after completing a law paper on the inequality within the criminal justice system between indigenous and non-indigenous Australians.  I was stunned by my research to say the least.

The skirt depicts Aboriginal inspired art and I found it at Indented Fashion.  Since purchasing it I had trouble thinking how to style it.  The skirt, while not mesh, does have a mesh insert between the legs. I searched everywhere for a top that also showed Aboriginal art but just couldn't find anything.  I thought I'd just find a small top in brown which I did at League.  I also purchased the 'Grandad Braces' there.

I found the glasses in Leopard print from Le Primitif which come with either clear or dark lenses.  God they make great stuff.

I purchased the lovely necklace, earrings and bracelets also from League called 'Coin Collector'.  I so love the bucket bags from Zenith so decided to purchase the fat pack of solid colors because they're just so perfect in every way.  The ring camera right is from Le Primitif and the one on the left from Je Suis.

I found the boots a while ago from Marshmallow's.  Aren't they amazing?  The detail is utterly impeccable and I think you should all go check out the store.

I'm wearing my 'Ladyboy' hair from Vanity Hair because I simply adore it. In RL my hair is past my shoulders but I'm thinking of getting it cut like this.  Hmmmm will require a lot of contemplation because I remember crying my eyes out at 16 when I got my hair cut short.

Lemon, Lime But I'm Not Bitter.

Today I'm featuring another wonderful Sascha's Designs gown called 'Fools' in luscious lime.  It's fairytale couture at its finest.  Whimsical, floaty and definitely a head turner as you sashay through the crowd, you have numerous options in terms of skirt type, collar and hat.  Available in fire, gold, metal blue, pink, silver and of course, lime, you have no excuse not to shine.

I chose to wear the 'Ballerina' hair from TuTy's given this dress is definitely made for dancing.

I just knew I'd find a pair of shoes at JD Designs made for this dress and I did.  I purchased another pair of 'Excess' heels but really, any excuse for a shop up at JD and I'm there. lol.

This morning I had the privilege of watching the Miss Virtual World 2014 Opera Challenge sponsored by Maddox DuPont, KMADD, RGF Estates and Lazuri whereby the participants had to give a visual interpretation of various opera's using fashion.  It was seriously brilliant and all of the girls did an outstanding job putting together their outfits from a variety of sources.  When I hear people bag the competition and consider the models are not doing anything too difficult, I wince because the challenges are really tough and do require a lot of imagination, networking, stamina and a big dose of artistic prowess.  While I'm rooting for Miss Australia, I consider each and every one of them the best of luck and congratulate you on your amazing work today.

Shut Up And Type.

Today I've put together a little number for the professional and is what I wear to work in RL.  I couldn't believe finding this gorgeous mesh skirt at CIA Designs because I have one similar in my wardrobe and almost the same jacket.  What we don't share is the fact that Chalice is over 6ft and reed thin...if only I looked as good as this.  Oh well we can't have everything :-)

The bag I picked up at Just Designs called 'Cassandra' and is perfect for carrying all your necessities such as mobile phone, the latest copy of Vogue and your camera, all subtlety on display in the bag.  JD's brand logo is becoming as important to me in SL as LV is in my real life.  My newly purchased LV Neverfull is one of the highlights of my year.  I can't work out if that's a sad reflection on me or that I appreciate beautiful things.

Search and ye shall find certainly rang true when I found this 'Ava' jacket in my very disorganized inventory.  I knew I was keeping it for something special.  Beautifully cut and I love the high slip of a waist belt.

Now the shoes are what I have been coveting from Just Designs for a week now.  Called 'Excess' they are so, so, so, so perfect in every way.  I love that you can change the heel and sole colors to match your outfits via the hud.

The necklace, earrings and bracelet (camera left) are gorgeous pieces from Pure Poison, while the watch is from 7891.

"Right Mr Jones, sit down right here and take some dictation and bring your BIG pencil".

I'm Riding Low In The Crutch.

Gawd did this outfit take me ages to style!  I started with the low crotch lilac pants from Graffitiwear  and set out to find the rest.  I went over to The Liaison Collaborative to grab IKON's new release 'Perspective Eyes' which I'm wearing and saw this fabo top from 22769 called 'Obi' in violet.  I couldn't believe I got that lucky because lilac isn't the easiest color to co-ordinate. IKON's new eyes will only be available for a limited time so don't you go and miss out because they're GORGEOUS.  You may be crying if you do but not with your Perspective eyes.  Do take a trip to The Liaison Collaborative because there is some fantastic stuff there.  I also purchased the purple sunnies made by Le Primitif and the belt bracelets made by Izzies from there too.

I knew where to go for a great bag having been to Swallow the day before noticing what a great range they had in stock.  This one is called 'Rockstud' in purple and it's ever so lovely in the flesh.

I found these shoes from Faenzo on Marketplace called 'Solstice' that are add-on's for Slink feet.  They are simply elegant and you can change the colors with the hud provided.  I labored over my necklace and ended up wearing the delightful 'Balini' necklace in camelian-plum from Zaara.

I'm so glad I spent the time touring the grid for my bits and pieces because I'm ever so pleased with the result.  Oh and the hair is a great style from Tableau Vivant called 'Alexandria'.  I LOVE this hair.

I spent time today adding more feeds to my list taken from the [SL] Blogger Support blog. Thank you to Katya Valeska for compiling this exhaustive list for us.  I went through the feeds I'm not linked with and completed various applications hoping to be included.  If anyone knows anyone who facilitates these feeds, put in a good word for the old Cha will you?  lol.  I've been really enjoying reading 'Conversations With' various bloggers on [SL] Bloggers Support.  I love learning more about people, particularly those in the blogging community, so its been fun getting to know my colleagues in SL fashion better.

Back In Black.

I blame the garden for not blogging for a couple of days.  The weather has been beautiful and my lovely garden has been a tad neglected.  I've spent three solid days planting seedlings and doing general maintenance and I'm so happy with the results.  It so pretty with the wisteria, magnolia's, weeping cherry's and my glorious Mt Fuji Cherry Tree all coming into flower.  This prompted me to go to Banana Island to take some shots in my new outfit because it's spring there.

The look started when I found this mini leather skirt at Indented Fashion and grew from there.  I found the lacy top at Graffitiwear which was part of a top and pants set.  I loved the geometric cut of it and thought it would soften the harshness of the leather.

I wore three sets of necklaces from Maxi Gossamer called 'Aphrodite's Dream' using the color change menu to turn all the stones black.  I came across the 'Disco Ball' earrings at Xia's Boutique.   The bag is a winner from Azoury called 'Timeless Bag'.

My shades are from AvaGirl and can be worn on the head or as glasses...love it when glasses have that option.

To finish off I went straight to Gos for some of their amazing boots.  These are called 'Equestrian Boots' although when I wear top boots for riding, they've never looked this sexy.

Hope you like my naughty black number that I would definitely wear clubbing.  Well maybe without the nip slip:-)

My Life Would Suck Without You.

I love to find new locations to shoot and I have a little secret blog I visit that features new sims.  Possibly many of you know about it but I promised I wouldn't reveal it when someone shared it with me, so I'm keeping shtum.  I keep my promises you see and even if you tortured me to get the link I wouldn't tell but give me every shoe from Gos and I may weaken.  Well I found this great sim called deSiderium and that LM I will share with you. :-)

Today I'm black on black but with a side of grey.  I found this cute little dress from Bubble called 'Balloon Elipse' dress and I love the material and pattern.  Luckily I found some knit leggings from Drop that I think work well with the texture.

I forgot I had this hair but when I found it I was thrilled.  Its a lovely texture and has little pins at the side holding a small plait and is from [M]unati Bodyshop Store.

Two of my favorite things are this gorgeous bag called 'Valentine Bow Tote' from Cherry and the 'Shiki' shoes from Maitreya.  I purchased the fat pack so have a plethora of colors to play with.

You can't get me out of my new Ginevra skin from Izzies and the fact that it comes with a vast array of eye shadow and lip options makes it even more fabulous.  I popped on my 'Pety Bracelets' from Pure Poison...they are wonderful pieces of jewellery.  I also can't take off my 'Voyante Gemstone' rings from Je Suis.

I really, really want to participate in Berry's 'Surrealism Challenge' but I can't seem to tap in to my creative juices...I wonder if I actually have any.   I am going to have a go at it although I fear the outcome will be more fart than art.  :-)  Until next time.....

Jungle Fever.

I found this dress at Angel Dessous called 'Masala' and just loved the colors...I've dubbed it camouflage couture.  It came with the necklace, earrings and bracelet so accessorizing was easy peasy.  I just added another bracelet (camera left) and 'Voyante' rings both by Je Suis.

I found the bag at Izzies where I initially went to buy the skin I'm wearing called 'Ginevra' in the pale tone.  I didn't own an Izzies skin (god only knows why) but I'm completely won over...it's amazing skin and the faces are ever so pretty.

The hair is great style from LeViere called 'Taylor' in Platinum.

I picked up these fabo shoes at Slink called 'Cassandra' in Forest.

I need to have a serious shop because I'm running out of things to blog. How this has happened I don't know because I always seem to be shopping.  I've been through my 'to blog file' and some of the stuff didn't inspire me anymore...Cha needs to get her run on because the cupboard is getting bare.

We Need Black And White And Every Shade In Between.

While life's not black and white, Cha certainly is.  I've been going through my 'To Blog' folder and found this 'Horizon' mesh mini skirt from Boom.  Skirts have been one of the biggest winners with the introduction of mesh in my opinion.  I remember the old skirts with prim parts that never seemed to stay in place.  So I set about creating a look around the skirt.

Determined not to simply go out and buy a top but check my brimming folder for something, I found the 'Elsa' shirt from Crazy Clothes.

The hair is a new release from LeLutka called 'Sato'.

The fab belt is from LeLutka called 'Mi Vida' belt and hugs the waist perfectly.  The scarf I picked up at Zeery's called 'Kingdom Animalia Silk Scarf' in Zebra print.  If you're looking for great scarves, go to Zeery's.  The necklace was a group gift from Pure Poison so get yourself joined up because Ms Shaleene Kenin is very generous with sending her members fabulous gifts.

The bag I picked up at CheerNo when it catered for women so is possibly no longer available but you could ask CheerNo's owner if the bag is still in existence and he is willing to sell it.  It's a great bag called 'Kamala' and looks great with the outfit.

The 'Salience' shoes with socks I purchased from Maitreya when they had their last sale...let me tell you, I was clicking everything like a man woman possessed.  I love these shoes and this was the first time I tried them on.  I always felt that the Salience shoe should have received shoe of the year when they initially came out if there was such an award.

Now on to my Flickr pics.  I simply cannot believe how many hits I have received when I check my stats.  Nearly 7,000 yesterday and well up in the thousands most days.  OMG what's happened lately? While I try to see life with 'the glass half full' mentality, I was suspicious that maybe Flickr was broken but no...people are actually looking at my pics :-)  Thank you so much Flickrites.  I consider that an honor.  Now if only I could get those 7000 to hit up my blog lol.

I'm So Transparent.

Check out this fabulous see through top sent to me by ASO.  It comes in grey, green, moss, yellow, pink and white.  For modesty's sake I popped on a little cami top from Bliss.  I purchased a heap of T's and cami's that aren't mesh from Bliss to wear under mesh garments.

I'm wearing another hair from Diva called Mana.  As I've said before, I'm in love with this hair and went back to the store to buy more.

I chose these harem pants from Little Petits Details and wore them in the transparent option.  Would you believe there are 6 people in these pants?  lol

For a little color I added the necklace from Glow Studio and earrings from Eskimo Fashion.

I have to say I love this fresh clean look and the ASO top is fabulous.  It really does resemble a light lace top that sits just off the body for that realistic look that only mesh can provide.

I'm so pleased that I persevered at the Belleza gacha machine and obtained nearly all the Leila skins available.  It's about time Cha moved away from only pale skins and I asked Felicity Blumenthal from Belleza which skin tones belonged to which numbers.  She kindly responded and I went and purchased all of the Slink hand and feet appliers corresponding to the skins I purchased.  I look forward to the day, if it ever comes, where all skin makers provide the appliers with every skin purchase.

SL was being mean tonight and I could only log in to Cyclops and then when I tried to get the links for this post, some area's were unavailable on the map so if any of the links below don't work, yell at SL.

Softly Does It.

G'day darlings.  Just before I completed this post I went to the American Cancer Society's memorial gardens in SL to place a candle and lay some flowers for Squinternet.  I'm ashamed to say I didn't know it existed but what a wonderful place to remember those who have departed this world and SL.  So many faces lined the walls but how lovely that one can visit them to reminisce.

Today I've put together a soft casual look in beige and coral tones.  I actually purchased the pants a little while ago from NuDoLu and kept them aside to blog when I found a top that I liked.  I found it at Collabor88 as ur.favorite.one's contribution called 'Steal My Boyfriend's Shirt'.

I remembered my recent purchase of this bag from Zenith and thought it would work well.  I'm loving these bangles from Je Suis called 'Vintage Bangles' and they're color change to boot.

I love these unique pants called 'Pantalon antique de mamie' in Beige.

The shoes are from Faenzo called 'Eleganza' and are designed to wear with Slink Womens Medium Rigged Barefeet (the tippy toe ones).  Aren't they gorgeous?  You can find Faenzo's products on Marketplace.

Well I had an early winner for my Cha's Flash Fash Cash Comp who identified herself and kindly asked me to donate the $1000L prize money to a charity.  I chose The People's Dispensary for Sick Animals (PDSA) where you can donate at Gos shoes.  Thank you so much AnneJoy, that was lovely of you.  Stay tuned for another round real soon.
