The Orange Ladybird.

You'll need to put on your shades for this look sweeties.  It's a bright fun look from Living Imagination called 'Sweet Rain' in Orange Ladybird.  I loved the coat that drapes long at the front but tapers up short at the back and covers the head to keep your hair dry.  I decided to pop on my group gift hat from C'est la vie called 'Pretty Big Fedora'.

I again visited EarthStones and purchased a necklace called 'Neisha' in Tigers Eye. 

I found this Vogue bag at Solidea Folies which can be worn on the arm or in the hand.

The star studded boots are from ShuShu called 'Trafo' and are amazing in their detail.

I just looked at the long range weather forecast and its not looking too good for my birthday party on Saturday.  Damn Melbourne weather.  Four seasons in one day is oh so true.

We Need Black And White And Every Shade In Between.

While life's not black and white, Cha certainly is.  I've been going through my 'To Blog' folder and found this 'Horizon' mesh mini skirt from Boom.  Skirts have been one of the biggest winners with the introduction of mesh in my opinion.  I remember the old skirts with prim parts that never seemed to stay in place.  So I set about creating a look around the skirt.

Determined not to simply go out and buy a top but check my brimming folder for something, I found the 'Elsa' shirt from Crazy Clothes.

The hair is a new release from LeLutka called 'Sato'.

The fab belt is from LeLutka called 'Mi Vida' belt and hugs the waist perfectly.  The scarf I picked up at Zeery's called 'Kingdom Animalia Silk Scarf' in Zebra print.  If you're looking for great scarves, go to Zeery's.  The necklace was a group gift from Pure Poison so get yourself joined up because Ms Shaleene Kenin is very generous with sending her members fabulous gifts.

The bag I picked up at CheerNo when it catered for women so is possibly no longer available but you could ask CheerNo's owner if the bag is still in existence and he is willing to sell it.  It's a great bag called 'Kamala' and looks great with the outfit.

The 'Salience' shoes with socks I purchased from Maitreya when they had their last sale...let me tell you, I was clicking everything like a man woman possessed.  I love these shoes and this was the first time I tried them on.  I always felt that the Salience shoe should have received shoe of the year when they initially came out if there was such an award.

Now on to my Flickr pics.  I simply cannot believe how many hits I have received when I check my stats.  Nearly 7,000 yesterday and well up in the thousands most days.  OMG what's happened lately? While I try to see life with 'the glass half full' mentality, I was suspicious that maybe Flickr was broken but no...people are actually looking at my pics :-)  Thank you so much Flickrites.  I consider that an honor.  Now if only I could get those 7000 to hit up my blog lol.

Go Away, Come Back.

Please don't remove me from the feeds if in the next two weeks I'm blogging less frequently.  I have overseas visitors and will be heading up to Sydney tomorrow so I'm not sure when and if I can blog but I will be back.  If I'm removed I will cry and cry hard.

Today I'm featuring a sweet strapless summer mesh dress from one of my favorite designers, Kanou.  Called 'Alice', it comes in a beautiful range of colors (blue, coral, green, pink, silver and turquoise).  I've shown it in blue which was a perfect opportunity to go out and buy some blue shoes from Slink which I have been coveting.  Thank to you designer Dexter Kaupas for sending me your fabulous new release dress to blog.

My hair is from LeLutka called 'Dulcina' and comes with an interesting flower pin.  I do love the dewy look of the Petal Edition Skin from Glam Affair.  This one I'm wearing is called 'Clean'.

These are Slinks Glitter Peeptoe's in Blue and being add-on's for the Medium rigged feet and the Slink Avatar Enhancement feet, always make your feet look perfect.

I popped on my Blue Sculpty Scarf from Maitreya and added this delightful clutch from Molichino called 'Delirium' in Peach.  I found a cute hair bow to wear on my wrist from ASO.

The bracelets shown on camera left are also from ASO called 'Leather Coin'.

The location is Kagurazaka (home of the ASO brand) and I found this lovely multi-colored fence as a backdrop.

As I said, I'm heading to beautiful Sydney and can't wait to try out some of the great restaurants and do all the touristy things and see it through the eyes of my visitors.  I don't know about you, but when I have overseas guests, I do tend to want to show off my country to its best and sometimes feel nervous that the people and places I take them to don't let me down.  So far, so good.  I'm currently powering up my trusty GPS and hope it doesn't lie to me and get me lost.

There Should Have Been A Spotty Spice Girl...Me!

I do love a floaty summer dress and this one caught my eye from Wirefly.  I adore the mono shouldered tiered dress with lovely blue spots that is the epitome of soft summer chic.

 
I found the 'Let's Swing' feathered hair piece in my inventory from a past purchase at Glow Studio.  If you know me, you know I simply can't go past a feather and not put it somewhere on my person.  The bangles are called 'Clair de lune' from U&R Dogs.

The hair is long and voluminous from LeLutka called 'Lorella'.  I really love this hair especially from the back.  LeLutka never leave me.  I would simply die without you in SL.

As for my spotty shoes, I found these for, sit down, $10L on Marketplace from Masha called 'Kristin Pumps'.  I'll link to Marketplace directly below.  My amazing pure white crocodile skin bag called 'Totem' is from Leverocci and is quality all the way.

As for RL me, I was lucky enough to go to 'Cavalia' last night, a mix of equestrian and performing art.  Being an equestrienne from when I was barely able to walk, truly appreciated the amazing horses and their trainers/riders performing the most amazing moves that I took years to barely learn and badly at that.  Pass-age, piaffe, half passes, pirouettes, travers, seemless transitions, flying changes...they did it all and made it look so easy while I sat there with my mouth on the floor wondering why I can only manage to execute these maneuvers maybe once in every ten attempts.  It was a magical show so if you ever get the chance to see it and you love horses, make sure you go.

Just before publishing this post I went for a shop at the Love Donna Flora Event and didn't run into a soul.  Hurry up before it closes guys.

Here in dear old Melbourne it's cold, raining and windy so its just as well I can virtually enjoy a summers day wearing a gorgeous floral summer dress to cheer me up.  This is another outfit from the label ASO aptly called 'Summer Dress' in flower pink.  There are a plethora of options available for every taste but girly me chose pink.  Bravo to designer Menieelee Gelles for this fabulous dress.

 
Its ever so pretty and I'm truly appreciating the ability of mesh to provide such realistic folds and drape.  The hair I chose is another from 'Hair Fair', this time from LeLutka called 'Alvina' shown with the pony tail option.  The necklace is a beauty from Malt and has color change options for the beads so I chose pink, green and white.  The bracelet on the left was a gift sent out to members of Pixel Box and on the right from C'est la vie.

The cute clutch I purchased on Marketplace from a store called Avale.  Beautifully made - just look at the leather folds which make it ever so realistic.

Here's another view of the bag.  I donned some cool white sunnies from Ison when the sun came out.

I purchased the fat pack of these shoes when Maitreya had their sale recently.  Just look at the work in them...those heels are so lovely and resemble snake skin which is an option with the shoes.  Called 'Shiki', I am so grateful that I could fat pack not feeling so guilty when the 50% sale was on.

Here's another really lovely sim I just discovered called 'Black Forest'.  I get such a buzz finding new places where clever people have created some kind of wonderful with amazing attention to detail.

ACHTUNG SKIN MAKERS:

Now I'm not a whinging whiny person by nature but I feel I must speak up on behalf of all lovers of SLINK hands and feet.  Why aren't more skin makers creating hand and feet skin appliers so we can all enjoy delightful digits rather than the crumby ugly ones on the stock standard avatar?  Please, PLEASE provide these in your store. I personally cannot imagine why you don't because I've reched the stage where I won't buy skins unless these are available.  I'm rubbish at manual matching and won't even try.  I'm sure I'm not alone in this so do us all a favor and get on board.

Cross My Heart But Hope I Don't Die.

Hello darlings.  Well we've just entered July and I can't believe that over half the year has gone by.  Today I've put together a little number featuring the 'Hunter Dress' by Pixel Box.  I love the texture...I can't really describe it only to say it looks like a tightly knitted dress interspersed with rows of loose cross stitch.  White crosses adorn the front of the dress and as we know, religious iconology, particularly the cross, has made a fashion come back from the 80's and 90's.

Thank goodness I remembered these Ero Sensei earrings from Mandala that I purchase a little while back.  Just perfect for the job IMO.

I found this 'Sweety Girl' hat at VCO and utilized the hair base and stringed plait attachment that came with the Eclat make up series from LeLutka.  The bag is also from Pixel Box called 'Dark Cross' and I used the touch menu to reduce the size.

I love the sim Hazardous at Misali where these pics were taken.  If you''re not familiar with it, do go exploring as its perfect for photo taking.   Here' I'm taking a load off my new fabulous 'Tri Color Wedge' add-on shoes from Slink.

I was a BAD, BAD girl.  I purchased the fat pack but who could blame me given the sensational color range available.  That was like taking me to lunch and saying I could have only one little sip of Shiraz...not possible!  For a little added interest, I wore these anklets from LouLou, so in the interests of false advertising, the anklets are not a part of the Slink shoes.  My nails are from the vast collection of avatar enhancement nails made by Flair...see, they're black and white?

The bracelet I'm wearing is from Pure Poison called 'Wicki Spike' and I love it along with the Motsumame Rings shown in Black/Silver from Mandala.  For me, since Siddean created my most favorite possessions ever to be housed in my inventory, my Slink hands 'n' feet, rings have become such an important part of my styling.   
                   
Is anyone else having troubles TP'ing and when you land, items are missing from your body?  Its happening so often and gets annoying having to click where the items are in order for them to show up for me.  If you have any ideas on how to fix this, can you let me know?  I downloaded the latest version of SL (Shining version I think it's called) but it did terrible things with the color of mesh items and all the water was just grey.  It was almost like a haze until you cammed in close enough then you could see the color/texture as it should be seen.  Quickly re-loaded the older version and everything is back to normal. Its all very well encouraging people to get ready for their new 'Sunshine' extravaganza but what's the point if they haven't completely fixed the fading of textures?

Zebra Crossing

Please note: no zebra's were harmed in the making of this post.  It's faux all the way with zebra being my inspiration for the look.  I found the fab zebra printed vest and clutch from C'est la vie and set about putting together a casual look.  The pants are from the ::K:: label also available at C'est la vie.

I headed over to Mayfair for a spot of sight seeing, admiring the architecture of this fabulous build.

There's A Party Going On In My Dress

OMG...does Sascha Frangilli never sleep?  She's definitely a tour de force when it comes to expanding her collection of amazing dresses and gowns for Sascha's Designs.  Actually Sascha sells everything you could ever want so drop by and soak it all in. This amazing piece is called 'Virginia' shown in hot pink and it certainly demands attention.

There's only one thing to do in this dress and that's get on the dance floor and bump it hard.

Orquidea Brings Out The Animal In Me

I'm feeling wild and free in this sexy little number from Orquidea.  Beautifully fitted with excellent material folds brings this outfit to life.  See the draping across the breasts...this must be so hard to do with black but its certainly been achieved with this don't you think?

I added a little belt from LeLuka 'Barbo' that chains up at the front.

I searched for ages to find the right shoes and came across these wedges in a similar leopard print from Peqe.

Waltzing Matilda With Me???

Aussie, Aussie, Aussie.  Oi, Oi, Oi.  I'm Aussie all over in this cute Punk Racerback singlet showing the Australian flag from Miel.  If you are feeling patriotic, head over to Miel to see if your country is represented.

These fabulous jeans including the belt are from Maitreya called BF Jeans and are my absolute favorite from all the jeans I own.

I love the racer back design...very sexy.  Look at the back pockets of the jeans...perfectly threading.  Don't you just love it when you wear your jeans in over the years until they're just perfect?  The thought of breaking in another pair of jeans just sends you reeling!

Keeping with the flag theme, albeit now the UK flag, I purchased these Wild Shoes at The Dressing Room made by Just Design a few days ago.  A total steal and I love them.

Starships Were Mean't To Fly

Hey up.  Gizza just released this great number called the 'Fragrant Henna' dress which they describe as a mix of  'hippie chic and London boho'.  Available in six different colors, it is ethnic fashion to me which I love.  I imagine myself at an exclusive resort having lunch by the pool in this dress.

I actually ran around Gizza looking for accessories and found the hair piece, bag and necklace.

This look is what I wore when I went on my big world trip a couple of years ago.  I stayed at the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi and remember wearing something like this for dinner one night.  Great work Gizza.
