Stunned Mullet.

Today I tip my free Summer Hat from Dollle hoping you are all well and safe.

I've put together an outfit that started when I purchased this 'Mullet Top' in Salmon from Auxiliary.  To be honest, while I loved the top and the minty Aztec lining, it took me ages to think how to style it.  I thought I would use the lining in the top as my inspiration for the pants so went a hunting looking for just the right cut and hue.  I knew that mesh pants would probably not work because they might poke through but found these non-mesh pants with prim bell bottoms at Mimikri called 'Felice' in the color camouflage.  I raced home to try them on and it was then I knew I had my outfit.  The pants are ever so smart and tailored.

I had a blast accessorizing this one which is probably my favorite thing to do once the basics are assembled.  I hung loose at Je Suis and purchased the Asymetrique bangles and earrings in the brown tones.  My necklace was a new purchase from Malt called 'Fashion Gilli Bead Necklace'.

I have to say my purchase of the fat pack of the Chic Chain Clutch from Croire has been one of my most used items.  You can purchase them at the Croire store on Marketplace.  The colors and designs in the fat pack are so varied and unusual, I just can't go past them in many of my SLooks.  The shoes from Kungler's have also had a few encores such is the unusual color that you don't see around everyday...they are a great accent with tangerine and salmon colored clothing.

This hair base and attachment pony tail are from LAQ.  They are oldies but most definitely goodies and to be absolutely honest, think the blond base is the most realistic I've ever seen by far as are the attachments.  So while I love to go shopping for new hair often, my LAQ hair that I purchased quite some time ago remains my favorite.

So here's the look from hat to heel.  Yes, I managed to dodge any bird poo during the shooting of this post.  Not sure if that's good or bad luck.

Zebra Crossing

Please note: no zebra's were harmed in the making of this post.  It's faux all the way with zebra being my inspiration for the look.  I found the fab zebra printed vest and clutch from C'est la vie and set about putting together a casual look.  The pants are from the ::K:: label also available at C'est la vie.

I headed over to Mayfair for a spot of sight seeing, admiring the architecture of this fabulous build.

Spring Into Spring

Ladies Who Lunch (LWL) is celebrating spring with a new collection and I couldn't resist this stunning blazer and shorts set in Spring Green that became available after their Fashion Show with Avenue on Sunday (31st March).  There are 150 new pieces created by LWL so we won't be short of impeccable fashion to bring in the new season.

I Am Woman Hear Me Roar

Hello reader.  Yes I say reader because I think I might have one.  I am feeling a little dejected because I can't seem to get my blog on the feeds and while I'm a million miles away from the best blogs in terms of production values, I don't think Chalice In Wonderland is that hideous that it can't link in with at least some of the SL fashion feeds.  I'm in my fifth year of blogging and now must deduce that I'm not hitting the mark in terms of interest.  I shall give it some thought as to whether I start up another one and change my blogging style completely.

Today I'm showing off a little number I pieced together featuring LeeZu and Mimikri.  I was attempting a soft yet edgy look and I rather like the mix of urban and vintage styles.

Leverocci and Mimikri Work For Me!

Take one AMAZING mesh skirt from Leverocci and add some Mimikri magic to make two different looks.

I just couldn't be happier about the end result of this look.  The stunningly patterned and textured mesh skirt from Leverocci is so clever in its construction and has a satin sheen.  Available in XXS, XS, S, M and L, there's a size for most figures and costs only $150L.  I wanted to bring out the soft blue in the skirt and found the Fur Stole (faux of course) at Mimikri for $200L.  Its dreamy to say the least and the satin bow at the waist pulls it all together.  I also found the Black Sweater with uber bell bottom sleeves at Mimikri for $250L.  I love the form.

Now we go for a less sophisticated look still using my Leverocci skirt.  Again its more Mimikri with the Kay Black Blazar ($350L) and Nica Lurex top in pale blue ($200L).  I picked up the gorgeous Blackbird Handbag at Label Mode and again, I'm wearing the Leverocci Pascal Sock shoes opting for a lighter sock color.

There's some weird stuff going on in the fashion world atm.  I don't really know what because I don't use any of the social networking site's in my SL anymore and they often give you the good oil on what's happening in the zoo.  With a new blog that's just hit town of the expose kind and some strange comments over at Agency Report, I'm beginning to wonder if some of you have gone bonkers. Seriously sweeties....while I'm all for a little ego stroking SL fling if that's your wish, apart from a few genuine relationships that make it through the labyrinth of obstacles and transcend into RL, I hope you realize there's some danger in putting all your eggs into a basket that doesn't really exist.  Maybe it's all role play and I'm the one out of sync, but I've seen a lot of people spill tears while role playing if that's the case.  Ask yourself this.  Do you deserve real hands giving you real hugs?  If so, don't accept anything less.

Mimikri Me

When I want special, I go to Mimikri. Ms Mimikri Kit has been creating wonderful for what seems like forever and if I had the dosh, I'd buy everything in her shop. Unfortunately Chalice's boss wants to go on another world holiday so has to be frugal with her Linden's. On this occasion, Chalice held her breath until she got this wonderful little dress called 'Gigi' in mauve. It's fru fru fabulous with bows, lace and flounce. Carrying on the Mimikri-ness, the Ajour tights in plum came out to play.

I do love this look and the ability to add tattoo layers using Viewer 2.2 allows for some interesting combination's with make up and hair. How lucky are we to be able to add, add, add and create an entire look that is unique.
