Lemon, Lime But I'm Not Bitter.

Today I'm featuring another wonderful Sascha's Designs gown called 'Fools' in luscious lime.  It's fairytale couture at its finest.  Whimsical, floaty and definitely a head turner as you sashay through the crowd, you have numerous options in terms of skirt type, collar and hat.  Available in fire, gold, metal blue, pink, silver and of course, lime, you have no excuse not to shine.

I chose to wear the 'Ballerina' hair from TuTy's given this dress is definitely made for dancing.

I just knew I'd find a pair of shoes at JD Designs made for this dress and I did.  I purchased another pair of 'Excess' heels but really, any excuse for a shop up at JD and I'm there. lol.

This morning I had the privilege of watching the Miss Virtual World 2014 Opera Challenge sponsored by Maddox DuPont, KMADD, RGF Estates and Lazuri whereby the participants had to give a visual interpretation of various opera's using fashion.  It was seriously brilliant and all of the girls did an outstanding job putting together their outfits from a variety of sources.  When I hear people bag the competition and consider the models are not doing anything too difficult, I wince because the challenges are really tough and do require a lot of imagination, networking, stamina and a big dose of artistic prowess.  While I'm rooting for Miss Australia, I consider each and every one of them the best of luck and congratulate you on your amazing work today.

I'm So Transparent.

Check out this fabulous see through top sent to me by ASO.  It comes in grey, green, moss, yellow, pink and white.  For modesty's sake I popped on a little cami top from Bliss.  I purchased a heap of T's and cami's that aren't mesh from Bliss to wear under mesh garments.

I'm wearing another hair from Diva called Mana.  As I've said before, I'm in love with this hair and went back to the store to buy more.

I chose these harem pants from Little Petits Details and wore them in the transparent option.  Would you believe there are 6 people in these pants?  lol

For a little color I added the necklace from Glow Studio and earrings from Eskimo Fashion.

I have to say I love this fresh clean look and the ASO top is fabulous.  It really does resemble a light lace top that sits just off the body for that realistic look that only mesh can provide.

I'm so pleased that I persevered at the Belleza gacha machine and obtained nearly all the Leila skins available.  It's about time Cha moved away from only pale skins and I asked Felicity Blumenthal from Belleza which skin tones belonged to which numbers.  She kindly responded and I went and purchased all of the Slink hand and feet appliers corresponding to the skins I purchased.  I look forward to the day, if it ever comes, where all skin makers provide the appliers with every skin purchase.

SL was being mean tonight and I could only log in to Cyclops and then when I tried to get the links for this post, some area's were unavailable on the map so if any of the links below don't work, yell at SL.

Make Mine A Flirtini Please.

Today I've got a cute casual outfit and I've been dying to blog these fantastic jeans from [JP]:dsg for ages.  One of the best pair of jeans I've found in SL because of the smart details such as mobile phone, keys and handkerchief poking out of the back pocket.  Don't you love it when designers go the extra mile and strive for realism?  I know I appreciate it.

I have a love affair with Diva hair.  Its the realistic wispy windswept look of many of their styles that capture my attention.  This style is 'Sayaka 3' in Moonstone.

I wearing the 'Steampunk Open Secrets' necklace and earrings from Pixel Box.  I love it because you can put your photo in the locket and really personalize it.

The top is called 'Flirtini' from Mon Cheri.  I like the fact that while it's cropped, my boobs aren't visible.  I must admit, I don't like that look at all.  Its like the dress maker ran out of material lol.

Now tell me these aren't great looking jeans?  You can change the colors of the accessories or wear them dirty or clean.  I chose dirty cause Chalice doesn't wash...she throws out her clothes after she wears them.

The bangles and watch are from 7891 called 'Aurbierre'.  Its a really chunky over sized set of jewellery that looks great.

This is the 'Garbo Clutch' from Little Petits Details.  God they made great bags.

I wonder if other bloggers experience my dilemma?  While I love to go shop at all the big events, I tend to stay away because I know by the time I blog the items, other bloggers will have beat me to it and the feeds will be full of the same stuff.  I really strive to feature items I find on my travels that perhaps haven't been blogged, yet I always feel I'm missing out on some fabulous fashion.  I guess you can't be everywhere and do everything eh?

I notice that the 32 official Miss Virtual World candidates have been named for 2014.  Good luck girls because you're going to need it.  It's a marathon undertaking but well worth the experience.  May I be so bold as to say "GO MISS AUSTRALIA"?    I notice that Miss Averil Resident (Miss USA) is chronicling her journey of Miss Virtual World on her blog 'The Lovely World Of SL Modeling', so you might be interested to get the perspective of what it takes from someone in the competition.

Praise The Poppy.

Woo hoo.  Back from Sydney after a wonderful few days and am ready to bring you more SL loveliness from my favorite designers.  Today is no exception as I feature one of my dearest fashion houses, Little Petits Details.

I purchased this cracker of a dress called 'Spring Dress Blue' featuring beautiful red poppies.  Wear with or without the vest, it is again strong in details such as the layer upon layer pointy skirt wonderfully textured as is all of LPD's outfits.

I popped on some red lace leggings from [JP]:gsd for extra flair and found the stunning flower head piece at Natural.

The red clutch is called 'Zodiac' from Alexandra Sautereau Collection Utility where you will find a seriously excellent collection of bags and clutches.

Thanks LPD for keeping us utterly beautiful.

Thunderbirds Are Go!

Well color me happy, I'm wearing Little Petits Details and I'm not sure who is wearing who.  The dress is so, well, BIG.  I like big and colorful so this little number hollered from across the shop.  Called the 'Carmen Striped Dress', I love the color combo Mz Nevery has created.

Had to wear my new 'Fashionista Sunglasses' from Glow Studio and it was off to Mandala to purchase yet another color combo in the 'Tefutefu' necklace and earrings set, this time in the 'Rainbow' tones.  That Mr Kikunosuke Eel is keeping me poor but nourished by the fact that he makes such damn fine jewellery.

So billowy and beautiful, the dress is pointing to my fabulous GOS 'Lauren d'Orsay' shoes in black.  Personally I think these would literally walk off the shelves if they were called 'Chalice Pumps Hard' but being a patient person at heart, will continue to hope.

Fashion is in the little petits details so see my tootsies...matching the dress don't you know.  Could these shoes be any more sublime?

Now I know what you're all thinking.  How did she get such a perfect match with the bag?  Well I Marketplaced again and found this 'Cristal Clutch' in Lilac from BeloD, a shop for bags and poses.  New to me so looking forward to checking it out in world.

My hair was a purchase from EMO-tions at the Hair Fair called 'Loredana' in Swedish Blond.  Very sleek.

A word of warning about this look sweeties.  Please keep a safe distance from those around you because the dress has so many points you could easily take an eye out.

I just wanted to share that according to my Blogger stats, since the beginning of my blog I have had over 100,000 views.  Thank you.  Love ya's till next time.

I'm Blue By You.

I've got a thing for soft, pastel blue and when I spotted this ultra feminine mesh top at VoguE, knew I had to style it.  It shows off the girls to stunning effect and the delicate lace just sits off the body creating such a realistic look.

The bracelets are from Glow Studio...I have to give a huge, big thank you hug to Joselyn Anatine from Glow Studio for consistently making the most amazing accessories around.  Her immense contributions to my wardrobe over the years are greatly appreciated.

I do think I must be the most stupid blogger around and here's why.  It was only completing this post that I used Marketplace to find me a bag.  I'm embarrassed to say it, but I always shopped by flitting around here and there wasting so much time.  A light bulb went off and I thought use Marketplace you stupid blond and I typed in 'bag'.  After a few pages I found exactly what I wanted...this little stunner called 'Scout Boho Bag' from Ison.  DUH.  While I do love getting around and seeing all the shops, this revelation is going to speed things up a lot.  Why did I just figure this out?

These mesh pants are lovely from Little Petits Details called 'Sela Jeans' in light blue.  Loving the waist treatment and wide floaty legs.

The hair I purchased from 'Hair Fair 2013' from Exile called 'Time and Sound' shown in light blond.  Beautifully simple and just drapes the shoulders.

Now I'm ever so confused about these gorgeous GOS heels called 'Eva Slingbacks' from the Baby Collection that I purchased on the 3rd of July from one of the designers events...I just can't think where.  I would swear they came in baby pink and blue but I can only find the pink in my inventory.  Does anyone remember them and did you have to buy the blue seperately?  I thought I was purchasing both the blue and pink...Gawd my memory is failing me darlings.  Regardless, these are scrummy gorgeous.

The photo's are taken at The Flowout.  Somewhere (oh my fading memory) I picked up a folder with some great LM's for picture taking.  Hit me up in-world if you want a copy of it.

Mr Virtual World Winner - Mr Australia - Erik Bayn

Yesterday (Saturday July 6 at 10am) I had the privilege of being one of the judges in the Mr Virtual World pageant and what an event it was.  Superbly hosted by Ms Persia Bravin and Ms Carilynn OHare, I was totally impressed with the caliber of the top 13 contestants I was there to judge.

For any of the doubter's, let me impress upon you that it is the judges throughout the competition who score the many categories that pick the eventual winner.  It was so difficult scoring the contestants to give us our top 5 and even harder scoring to secure the winner.  I had so much fun and having been in their place a few years ago, know that one has to have stamina, commitment and style to get to the end, let alone win it.

I was thrilled to see Mr Australia, Erik Bayne, win the event but the competition was truly stiff and any one of them deserved the title. Congratulations to Erik, the runners up and all who participated in the pageant and behind the scenes.  It went off without a hitch which just goes to show the professionalism of the people running it.

I chose to wear this LBD by Little Petits Details called 'Dancing Dress'.   I dressed it up with a stunning scarf from Zeery's, black mesh gloves by Celoe and wore the diamonds from a pair of Cheeno gloves I purchased ages ago that sit over the hand.  I splashed out of the set of 'Tefutefu' earrings from Mandala.

Every one present looked stunning and all appeared to enjoy the pageant enormously.  I know Erik has a big year ahead as Mr Virtual World 2013 and I wish him the best of Aussie luck.

Stunned Mullet.

Today I tip my free Summer Hat from Dollle hoping you are all well and safe.

I've put together an outfit that started when I purchased this 'Mullet Top' in Salmon from Auxiliary.  To be honest, while I loved the top and the minty Aztec lining, it took me ages to think how to style it.  I thought I would use the lining in the top as my inspiration for the pants so went a hunting looking for just the right cut and hue.  I knew that mesh pants would probably not work because they might poke through but found these non-mesh pants with prim bell bottoms at Mimikri called 'Felice' in the color camouflage.  I raced home to try them on and it was then I knew I had my outfit.  The pants are ever so smart and tailored.

I had a blast accessorizing this one which is probably my favorite thing to do once the basics are assembled.  I hung loose at Je Suis and purchased the Asymetrique bangles and earrings in the brown tones.  My necklace was a new purchase from Malt called 'Fashion Gilli Bead Necklace'.

I have to say my purchase of the fat pack of the Chic Chain Clutch from Croire has been one of my most used items.  You can purchase them at the Croire store on Marketplace.  The colors and designs in the fat pack are so varied and unusual, I just can't go past them in many of my SLooks.  The shoes from Kungler's have also had a few encores such is the unusual color that you don't see around everyday...they are a great accent with tangerine and salmon colored clothing.

This hair base and attachment pony tail are from LAQ.  They are oldies but most definitely goodies and to be absolutely honest, think the blond base is the most realistic I've ever seen by far as are the attachments.  So while I love to go shopping for new hair often, my LAQ hair that I purchased quite some time ago remains my favorite.

So here's the look from hat to heel.  Yes, I managed to dodge any bird poo during the shooting of this post.  Not sure if that's good or bad luck.

Can You Die From Drinking Tea?

I wasn't sure that I'd get this post out this morning (my time) because my eye lids were drooping and bed was looking pretty good....but dear readers, I persevered and finished it.

Today I'm in a casual look that came about from my recent purchase of the 'Loose Muscle Shirt' from Le Primitif.  Whilst the front is fairly plain, it was the back that captured my attention.  I mean not everything we wear has to hit you front on...it's often the little details that one see's gradually in clothing that make it special.

My new spider tattoo from Tattoo Paradise was perfect to wear with this top. God knows why I'm wearing a spider because I have to call people to remove them if I see one inside at home.

I purchased these tartan boots from GOS called 'Slouch Boots' and re-textured the modifiable hat from LaGyo called 'Kirby' to match the boots.  The hat is usually white with black polka dots. The bag is from Zenith called 'Rattan Beach Bag'.  It comes with a hud which allows you to change the scarf, glasses and magazines.

I'm wearing one of the new hair releases from Truth called 'Colbie'.  See below for the remaining credits.

Now for some strange, quirky reason I've developed an overwhelming craving for tea.  This has been going on for about 2 weeks.  I was the quintessential coffee drinker owning a Nespresso Coffee Machine ® which I used until it screamed STOP, ENOUGH ALREADY.  I don't want coffee anymore.  I want Twinings English Breakfast tea ® sweetened with a tad of honey.  WTF?  How can one change so dramatically?  Very weird.

Cheerio from Chalice xx

Stand4Love.

Now this is a cause I'm very passionate about because in the deepest recesses of my soul I believe that the GLTB community should have all the rights that are afforded the 'straight' community.  Because I couldn't express the importance of this issue any better than the organizers of the campaign currently occurring in SL, I have taken an excerpt from their blog to explain.

"Each one of us has the right to liberty, justice and the pursuit of happiness. Everyone has the right to love and be loved in return. GAY, LESBIAN, STRAIGHT, TRANSGENDERED or BISEXUAL…..Sexual Orientation or Race shouldn’t Matter. The FREEDOM to LOVE is fundamental as the FREEDOM to BREATHE. Two adults should have the right to love without discrimination and intolerance. Marriage should be available to any loving couple. Let’s end hatred and discrimination now. Stand UP and be counted!!!

STAND 4 LOVE is an awareness charity project to promote the visibility and rights of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Straight loving couples to have the right to marry and be recognized by the law across the world. It will be a picture campaign in Second Life to spread awareness and promote equality and tolerance. Each participant will take a picture of themselves in a plain white or black background then add the Stand4Love Logo. They will then put their message of support as well as their SL name and/or Title/Business (Optional) in the picture.  All pictures received will be published here in this blog. It will also be promoted in Stand4Love Facebook page and Flickr group. We will be opening a gallery inworld to display your picture entries for a month. Please Join us."

Here is the link to the Stand4Love Blog and I hope you all participate.

C'est la vie...Whatever Will Be Will Be

C'est la vie has just released a new ribbon belt skirt and I felt compelled to drop everything and create a style around the skirt.  Available in 6 delightful colors and patterns, the ultra feminine 'budding pink' was my choice.  I also found the soft pink scarf upstairs at C'est la vie and was happy to have purchased it because I love the match.

Now if I'd put down my tub of Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream, this whole process would have been much quicker but you see, I've just discovered it and can't believe you American's have hidden this from me until just recently.  I was a bit pouty tonight when I got to the shop that sells it and found my favorite peanut butter one was out of stock but settled on Phish Food instead.  But I digress....no actually, I've put it back in the freezer.

It's a lovely, lovely skirt and I did a bit of traveling around to style it. My limo driver made a few bucks tonight!

I found the bag at Little Petits Details called 'Geena' and I think its a sympathetic match to the skirt.  That shop really makes my jaw drop when I walk around.  It's almost too perfect and I mean that in a good way.

I found the pintuck T and Carnation Flats at Tram.  I knew I could count on them for finishing off the look.  The little flats are just so decorative with little carnation flowers on the front and back of the shoes.

I took these pics at {what's next}.  Is there a truly sweeter place than that sim?  There's just beauty at every turn and an abundance of photo opportunities.  I actually stayed there for ages because they have such peaceful music streaming I was nearly asleep.

I often wonder how many non-bloggers utilize the feeds and I hope its a lot of Second Lifer's.  I want to send out a warning to anyone, particularly new people to SL who may be shopping for shapes.  DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT shop at Ramonzita & Catastrophies INC (allegedly aka MissFedorova in SL) on Marketplace.  By her/his own admission, they are copybotted from known models in SL. Boycott the copybot at all costs.  Apart from the fact the unit is loony, racist, ageist, sexist and any other 'ist you can imagine, handing over a cent to this person is WRONG, WRONG, WRONG because someone else's hard work went into creating their SL visual identity and wacko here is trying to benefit from it.  I wanted to make mention of this because its wrong to assume that everyone knows the story behind this individual and may just stumble across these shapes on Marketplace without knowing the history.

Life's A Beach And Then You Fly...Because You Outstayed Your Welcome.

When I saw this gorgeous top and lacy shorts made by Leri Miles Designs the other day at The Garage Designer Fair 2013, the soft lemon tones called to me LOUDLY.  I thought they would work well together and grabbed them.  I do love yellow hue's as they make me happy and this whole outfit is one big smile for me.  The earrings are from Eskimo Fashions and are actually peacock feathers but I thought they looked like fish bones.  I remembered seeing them there and given I chose a beach location, thought 'go on, get them'.

The off the shoulder top is hemmed with a polka dotted material featuring a cute bow made up of blues, reds, greens and browns which gives you license to accent those colors in your accessories although I remained with different tones of lemon.  The lace shorts are so feminine in my opinion...sexy, sexy lace.

Now this is the sad part...the sheer hose and bag I purchased in separate fat packs just before Emily Kaestner closed her in-world shop Croire; however, here's the link to her Marketplace store.  The bag is so dainty and the other colors in the fat pack are equally endearing.

Now the shoes I purchased from GOS.  Called 'Ursula Wedges', they are sublime and close up you really get to appreciate the work all those little shoe makers do.  I imagine them all lined up in a row being beaten by Gospel Voom screaming 'work faster'.  Only joking, I'm sure he only gently reprimands them if the production line slows up a little.  Seriously, I know I wax lyrical about lots of things and I'm genuine when I do it, but I did let out an audible OMG when I cammed in close.

In the background, I can't work out if it's a kind of Christmas decoration for fishermen or the floats on fishing nets but they're mighty fancy balls.  This was shot at Salt Water, a really brilliant location for picture taking and relaxing at the sea side.  I spent exactly two hours laying on a hammock type thing that sits out over the water listening to the tunes and waves.  I think I spied other people waiting for a turn but first in, first served, even if I did out stay my welcome.

Oh gawd, the bill just came in....they charge by the minute for use of the lounging equipment.  Aww just tricking ya.

Sometimes I Get A Good Feeling.

I've been in a kind of SL Twilight Zone.  I've been zapping here and there, picking up the most random of things that I fell in love with and thought would be handy to use in future looks.  I am feeling quite sad that a few of our favorite labels are disappearing from SL but as I always say, as one door shuts another one opens.  Those who are closing or have closed, I wish you the very best and thank you for your contributions to this wonderful virtual life we get to live.

Today my look is to say the least, an eclectic fusion of pieces.  For me, while fashion does have some basic rules, is really all about self expression and mood.  Some days we play it safe and some days we smash the rules and are brave.

This all started when I put on this Gipsy dress from Glam By Fred Oyen.  As I've mentioned before, I love a profusion of color and gorgeous patterns.  I found both in this dress and thought right Chal, tart it up to the max.

I want to send a BIG THANK YOU to Sasy Scarborough from Flair Nails who must be working like a trojan producing the best, best nails ever for sending me oodles of them.  I'm wearing them above and every time I open a new hud, feel it's like Christmas wondering what wonderful patterns and colors I'll see.  In case you want to purchase them off-line, here's her link to Marketplace.

I did a bad, bad thing.  I purchased four new skins from DeeTaleZ called 'Gogo' shown in the medium fair tone.  Best news is there are skin appliers for sale to match Slink's feet and hands plus LOLA's.  Now I know I'm not the smartest tool in the shed, but how the bloody heck do I put these on?  I press the hud expecting huge jugs to magically appear and nothing.  Note to self: read instructions.  I must give big claps to Steffi Villota, Ms DeeTaleZ herself, for making such wonderful skins.  She does prove its all in the details.

The hair is also from DeeTaleZ.  You purchase the tattoo layer of your choice and then the Mohican prim attachment.  I think closely shaved or short hair can make a bold statement so love this idea from DeeTaleZ.  I'm off to purchase some more tattoo layers which have shaved patterns.

The face decoration is from a great accessories store called 22769 Casual Couture.  The piece is called 'Femme Dryad Head Piece' in Silver/Blue.  To add even more blueness, I'm wearing Peacock Eyeshadow tattoo from Little Petits Details and Eccentric Uptown Blue lipstick tattoo from The Skinnery.

I grabbed myself some Thick Wool Socks from DeeTaleZ and very smart Black Patent Ankle Boots from Kunglers.

I also purchased this Sage Snake Skin Clutch from Cherry, a great place for shoes, bags and accessories.
