I'm Not Broken, Just Bent.

I'm sitting here along with my little poodle completing this post with the faint rumbling of thunder in the background and the soft sprinkling of rain.  Rather nice after quite a few days of hot weather.

I love my look today.  I was sifting through my inventory and because I've been missing in action a bit lately, feel a bit out of the loop.  But I did find this dress sent from Chocolat called 'Lilou', then I remembered the bag I purchased from Stefan Garcia that I've wanted to blog for ages.  I found a set of fabulous scarves from Redgrave and wore the 'Arabic' one for this look.

I did a bit of Vanity Hair shopping and this is one of my favorites called 'Bitter Sweet' in the color Essence.  Mz Jewell really does come up with some inspiring designs and is very generous with her discounts each week not to mention her group freebies.

The brand ASO sent out some flower broaches to bloggers a little while back and thought I would wear the beige color for some extra prettiness.  Me likie!

The dress has beautiful folds and drapes long at the back.  It's a mullet dress lol.

The bag is adorable girls and can be worn in the hand or on the arm.  I love it when bag designers give you various options.

These cute boots are from Envious called 'Domino Heels' and I've been waiting to find the right outfit to show case them. They look ever so comfy.

My blogging may be a bit spasmodic for a little while as I'm sick at the moment and will be having surgery possibly in the first week of January.  I thought it may have been next week but am relieved to at least have Christmas without the side effects of the surgery impinging on my partying which will include copious amounts of food and cocktails. The only thing good about surgery are those few short moments when you are aware of your body floating on air and you're all warm and happy.  Unfortunately it lasts but a second and then you wake up with the pain....urgh.  Do any of you who have had surgery try to stay awake as long as you can?  I do.

Da Da...It's Been A While But I'm Back With Some LeeZu Magic.

Hello darlings...yes it's been a while between posts but my post operative guest has left and my nursing duties are no longer required so I have more time for blogging.  I must say I have missed it and each and every one of you who visit my blog.  I purchased this ever so unusual one shouldered knit top and powdery blue skirt both from LeeZu.  The top has the quirk I love and the skirt has a striking poppy pattern and rust colored frill.

I'm wearing hair called 'Dali' from Loovus Dzevavor, a label that delivers unusual, sophisticated couture.

The orange and black highly detailed bag is a great find from BSD Design Studio.  OMG folks, their bag collection is wonderful.  I also found these darling fringed heels from there.  That shop is utter perfection and never disappoints me.

Its always such a thrill when you start your outfit with one or two key pieces then go shopping to find accessories to create a look distinctly yours.

I read with interest the last SLecrets from Shopping Cart Disco that someone posted their formula on blogging, particularly the part that states "Post pics of yourself in stuff you clicked on to wear and had nothing to do with the creative process in designing it, but feel creative by wearing someone else's shit".  I thought about it for a while and realized that while fashion bloggers don't make the creations, blogging fashion is paying homage to a designer by way of promotion.  I think we bloggers provide a service by featuring all of their hard work and yes, styling fashion does require an eye and some creative flair when accessorizing to create an entire look.  I know I spend hours scouring the stores to bring an outfit to life so while that poster is entitled to their opinion, perhaps provide us all with a link to your blog to see how it should be done eh?

Sea The Beautiful Coral.

Well the Melbourne Cup has just been run and won by a lady trainer...yay the girls :-)  I personally can't watch horse racing as I would just be a basket case if I saw one of the horses hurt but the Melbourne Cup is a special day in the Spring Racing calender and I prefer to watch the fashion instead.  OMG there was some amazing outfits with hats featuring highly.  Where else but in the land of Oz would you get a day off for a horse race? lol

Today I have a cute outfit with bright coral top and tote.  The top is a recent purchase from Indie Rose and being a lover of this color, couldn't resist.  I also bought the 'Leather Swan Tote' from Le Primitif in the coral color so top + bag = fabulous!

I found this sexy windswept do at TuTy's called 'Extremist Volume'.  It would drive me crazy having hair permanently hanging over one eye but Chalice doesn't seem to mind.  She'll do anything for fashion the sexy strumpet that she is.

The top has sex appeal too as it cut's away giving a little side boob action.  The pants are from LeeZu called 'Madison' pants in the color Snow.  LeeZu has some absolutely fabulous new designs in store so if you haven't visited for a while, you really should go check out all that wonderful newness.

These super cool heels and socks are also from LeeZu called 'Claudette' and come with a color change hud which gives you heaps of options and versatility to wear with lots of clothes.

I've been a slack old tart with blogging recently but have been looking after someone who had an operation and is staying with me.  Be back to full steam soon.  Keep on being spicy my little fashion lovers :-)

You Scary Bitch.

Hello darlings.  Hope you are having a fab weekend?  Today I've put together a rather unusual outfit that started when I found this jumper with hood at Living Imagination.  I love it when I find something a bit different and the hood just did it for me.  The material is replicated on the band around the bottom of the jumper and it's a cutie.  I hadn't been to this store before so again, I was delighted to have found another place to squander my L's.  No squander isn't the right word...let's just say spend!

The top is called 'Oh My Scary Jumper' but the little munchkin on the front is too sweet to be scary.  Now finding the pants was a mammoth effort simply because finding baby blue to match the fabric wasn't easy but I got lucky at Artilleri with these capri's.  I swear I'm like a dog with a bone when I'm looking for what my mind's eye has envisaged and can spend hours touring the grid.  I also found two rings in powder blue called 'Rapsody Ring' in Ice from H.M.A.E.M. that sit up the fingers.  I love them.  The bangles are from Willow and the earrings from LaGyo.

I purchased this bag from ShuShu not so long ago and was looking for something to wear with it.  I love the mishmash of colors and textures that are so boho.  Called the 'Good Journey' bag, its ever so well made.  I brought out my fabulous 'Missy' shoes from Slave where the construction of these just knocks my socks off...if I were wearing any of course.

I found this sim called 'Aldous Huxley' where the pictures are taken.  Don't go there if you're feeling blue because its all blue and may just tip you over :-)

Nya's Made A Beautiful Outfit In The Name 'Donna Flora'.

When I went to fabulous Nya's shop the other day, I was drawn to this outfit as you walk in the doors.  When I discovered it was called 'Donna Flora', well that made it even more special.  I still think of her.  The image of her on video singing 'Wonderful World' is ingrained on my memory knowing that her lovely face and voice has left this physical world.  But as we all know, her legacy lives on in our minds and in our inventories.  I thought what a lovely thing to do, create a beautiful outfit in her name.

Contained in the folder is the top, belt, skirt and shoes.  All amazing pieces in their own right.  I chose the orange colored outfit because this color symbolizes happiness to me.

I hunted high and low for an orange bag that would be the best match for this outfit and after TP'ing for an hour, did a check on Marketplace and found it at the Vendetta store on Marketplace.  The strings of color change pearls are from Maxi Gossamer.  The hair is Diva's contribution to Collabor88, a lovely curly wurly do in the color Moonstone.

The wedge sandals that come with the dress are so lovely.  All in all, I am so happy to wear this outfit knowing that the inspiration for it was one and only Donna Flora.  Such a beautiful person is surely up in heaven dressing those with no style :-)

The Beauty Of Aboriginal Art.

Today I'm blogging an outfit very close to my heart because part of it depicts our wonderful Aboriginal heritage and the stunning art our indigenous people create.  To me there is nothing more beautiful than Aboriginal art and the stories behind each symbol are amazing.  Not that I'm an expert but I sincerely appreciate the fact that our land, Australia, was inhabited by people with incredible survival skills that put us settlers to shame.  We all know that Australia was not Terra Nullius (Latin for land belonging to no-one) and that the British lied when they claimed this country as a colony.  The Aboriginal people were killed and treated abominably and for that I am ashamed and in my opinion we should never forget it and know that the word 'sorry' doesn't even come close to it being alright.  Although we must move forward but at the same time we should never forget our history is not a glorious one.  Obviously its a contentious issue but this is my firm belief particularly after completing a law paper on the inequality within the criminal justice system between indigenous and non-indigenous Australians.  I was stunned by my research to say the least.

The skirt depicts Aboriginal inspired art and I found it at Indented Fashion.  Since purchasing it I had trouble thinking how to style it.  The skirt, while not mesh, does have a mesh insert between the legs. I searched everywhere for a top that also showed Aboriginal art but just couldn't find anything.  I thought I'd just find a small top in brown which I did at League.  I also purchased the 'Grandad Braces' there.

I found the glasses in Leopard print from Le Primitif which come with either clear or dark lenses.  God they make great stuff.

I purchased the lovely necklace, earrings and bracelets also from League called 'Coin Collector'.  I so love the bucket bags from Zenith so decided to purchase the fat pack of solid colors because they're just so perfect in every way.  The ring camera right is from Le Primitif and the one on the left from Je Suis.

I found the boots a while ago from Marshmallow's.  Aren't they amazing?  The detail is utterly impeccable and I think you should all go check out the store.

I'm wearing my 'Ladyboy' hair from Vanity Hair because I simply adore it. In RL my hair is past my shoulders but I'm thinking of getting it cut like this.  Hmmmm will require a lot of contemplation because I remember crying my eyes out at 16 when I got my hair cut short.

SLimed.

I do so love lime.  In my Corona's, in my mojito's and on my body.  I found these low ride, low crutch beauties at Legal Insanity the other day.  Perusing the clothes in all the rooms I was struck and impressed by the beautiful presentation of the way they market their label.  In terms of the vendor posters, they give it to you on a gold platter.  Their style from top to toe is gorgeous.

I went off looking for something to wear with them and found this cutie of a top at So Many Styles.  Because they literally have so many styles, I purchased the bag, earrings and necklace too.  I purchased the butterfly hair accessory from one of my fave's, Tram.

The hair is a voluminous up-do from Miss C. While I love to wear my hair long, I do love to show off earrings so am always looking for hair that allows me to do this.  The boots are from Maitreya called 'August Ankle Boots' shown in the grey color.

I've been reading with interest on Plurk people asking 'what do you want to know about me?'  Being one who fears rejection and an empty non-replied Plurk, I haven't participated but I'll share two.

  1. I collect jim-jams (aka as pajamas).  I have about 50 tops and bottoms because I LOOOOVE to come home and get into them.  I'm a bit like the Aussie female version of Hef but I stress without the white socks. And they're not daggy drab PJ's.  They're fabulous colored one's that I can co-ordinate.  In RL I really truly do love fashion and shopping while at home I'm super casual but am a quick change if anyone rings and says 'hey let's go out'.  If my hair's not looking too good I pop it up in a chignon, take 15 minutes for make up, a quick spray of perfume and I'm off.  I can do it because I have two walk in robes that I keep in perfect order and a wall of shoe racks in boxes with a pictures of the shoes on the front.   Thanks mum for turning the once chaotic me into a neat freak.
  2. I collect perfumes.  Ever since I saw the movie 'Someone To Watch Over Me' and the magnificent glass perfume cabinets in Mimi Rogers' dressing room, I dreamed of having a cabinet filled with perfumes.  I got my wish when I renovated my bathroom and found this wooden and glass cabinet which over the years I have filled with perfumes.  People know that is my thing and have given them as presents and many I have purchased duty free when traveling.

My absolute weakness.
Anyway sweeties, remember to keep supporting SL designers so we can keep being beautiful.

Berry's Autumn Challenge.

I do enjoy participating in Berry's challenges/meme's and this one was no exception because it gave me an excuse, as if I need one, to go out shopping to find my interpretation of an autumn outfit.  Getting out and about using the in-world search option certainly takes me to some strange places.  But I love to meet new people and see new things and that's why I love SL so much.

I ended up at the wonderful clothing house Legal Insanity.  Their stuff is insane, insanely great.  I purchased this mink coat (faux of course) and the beautifully pleated trousers both in chocolate.  To liven things up and add some autumn colors, I purchased a gold scarf from NC Paris and brought out my JD Design Hearty Clutch in sand.  I also popped on the Nikki strappy heels from Redgrave and color changed them to gold.

I'm wearing the new release hair from Truth called 'Felicity'....a winner Mr Hawks.

It wasn't until I brought up Berry's blog for the link that I realized we went to the same place to take our pics, being 'Small Town Green'.  It was the autumn-iest place I could think of at the time so sorry Berry.

Anyway, on to the meme:

1. Is autumn your favorite season? Why or why not?
No it's not my favorite season but I do love it when the tree's turn russet.  I don't like cleaning the leaves up all the time though.  My favorite season is definitely summer.  I should have been born in Fiji or Bali or some other tropical locale.  I thrive in tropical heat but on the other hand, I've only holidayed in really hot and humid countries.  I don't know how I'd go living, going to work, shopping etc.  Its much more fun laying by the pool asking Ketut for a Mai Tai.

2. Do you call it autumn or fall?
Well being from Australia, we don't call it fall although we should with all the bloody leaves I've picked up this season.

3. What kind of weather does your area get during this season?
I just checked on-line for this information and converted it so it makes sense.  Our autumn is in March, April and May with an average temperature in Melbourne of 16.5 ℃ (61.7 ℉).  What I think is so amazing about nature is the fact that these months are usually windy which blows the leaves from the tree's.  Someone knew what they were doing when they created this planet.

4. What color do you associate with autumn?
Russet tones probably because I have a lot of red maples and liquid amber's at home.

5. Which autumn themed sim is your favorite at the moment?
I can only remember Small Town Green but I know there must be heaps more I've yet to discover.

I'm Riding Low In The Crutch.

Gawd did this outfit take me ages to style!  I started with the low crotch lilac pants from Graffitiwear  and set out to find the rest.  I went over to The Liaison Collaborative to grab IKON's new release 'Perspective Eyes' which I'm wearing and saw this fabo top from 22769 called 'Obi' in violet.  I couldn't believe I got that lucky because lilac isn't the easiest color to co-ordinate. IKON's new eyes will only be available for a limited time so don't you go and miss out because they're GORGEOUS.  You may be crying if you do but not with your Perspective eyes.  Do take a trip to The Liaison Collaborative because there is some fantastic stuff there.  I also purchased the purple sunnies made by Le Primitif and the belt bracelets made by Izzies from there too.

I knew where to go for a great bag having been to Swallow the day before noticing what a great range they had in stock.  This one is called 'Rockstud' in purple and it's ever so lovely in the flesh.

I found these shoes from Faenzo on Marketplace called 'Solstice' that are add-on's for Slink feet.  They are simply elegant and you can change the colors with the hud provided.  I labored over my necklace and ended up wearing the delightful 'Balini' necklace in camelian-plum from Zaara.

I'm so glad I spent the time touring the grid for my bits and pieces because I'm ever so pleased with the result.  Oh and the hair is a great style from Tableau Vivant called 'Alexandria'.  I LOVE this hair.

I spent time today adding more feeds to my list taken from the [SL] Blogger Support blog. Thank you to Katya Valeska for compiling this exhaustive list for us.  I went through the feeds I'm not linked with and completed various applications hoping to be included.  If anyone knows anyone who facilitates these feeds, put in a good word for the old Cha will you?  lol.  I've been really enjoying reading 'Conversations With' various bloggers on [SL] Bloggers Support.  I love learning more about people, particularly those in the blogging community, so its been fun getting to know my colleagues in SL fashion better.

My Life Would Suck Without You.

I love to find new locations to shoot and I have a little secret blog I visit that features new sims.  Possibly many of you know about it but I promised I wouldn't reveal it when someone shared it with me, so I'm keeping shtum.  I keep my promises you see and even if you tortured me to get the link I wouldn't tell but give me every shoe from Gos and I may weaken.  Well I found this great sim called deSiderium and that LM I will share with you. :-)

Today I'm black on black but with a side of grey.  I found this cute little dress from Bubble called 'Balloon Elipse' dress and I love the material and pattern.  Luckily I found some knit leggings from Drop that I think work well with the texture.

I forgot I had this hair but when I found it I was thrilled.  Its a lovely texture and has little pins at the side holding a small plait and is from [M]unati Bodyshop Store.

Two of my favorite things are this gorgeous bag called 'Valentine Bow Tote' from Cherry and the 'Shiki' shoes from Maitreya.  I purchased the fat pack so have a plethora of colors to play with.

You can't get me out of my new Ginevra skin from Izzies and the fact that it comes with a vast array of eye shadow and lip options makes it even more fabulous.  I popped on my 'Pety Bracelets' from Pure Poison...they are wonderful pieces of jewellery.  I also can't take off my 'Voyante Gemstone' rings from Je Suis.

I really, really want to participate in Berry's 'Surrealism Challenge' but I can't seem to tap in to my creative juices...I wonder if I actually have any.   I am going to have a go at it although I fear the outcome will be more fart than art.  :-)  Until next time.....

Coffee And Vanilla.

I love a good scarf and I've had this one from Vogue just waiting to blog.  Called 'Sharmine Stole' in Russet, it's the mixture of colors that drew me to it.

I chose these embroidered jeans in coffee from Bliss Couture and found that the new release bag from Boom worked really well with it. The top is from Kunglers called 'Alicia' in vanilla.  A simple silky little thing that is so versatile.

The shoes I found on Marketplace for a mere $99L and I consider them my bargain of the month.  They are from InVerse and are called Vegas Heels.  While mainly building houses/prefabs, InVerse have a small variety of shapes/skins, clothing and shoes.  You wear the hud and can change colors on all different parts of the shoes.  I love them.

I took these pictures at the new Glam Affair sim.  Looks great and I can't wait to go check out all the new releases I believe are in store.  Roll on pay day.

I'm On Stripe.

I've had this striped shirt from Pichi for a little while and have been meaning to blog it. I really like the gold lapel studs and buttons.  I found these shades at Mon Tissue called 'Harlow Sunglasses' and the gold details picks up the gold on the shirt.

The bag I picked up at Boom called 'Studio Tote' and love the boxy style of it.  I went hunting in my inventory for hair and loved this curly do from W&Y.

I love the simplicity of these add-on Llena sandals from Slink.

Jungle Fever.

I found this dress at Angel Dessous called 'Masala' and just loved the colors...I've dubbed it camouflage couture.  It came with the necklace, earrings and bracelet so accessorizing was easy peasy.  I just added another bracelet (camera left) and 'Voyante' rings both by Je Suis.

I found the bag at Izzies where I initially went to buy the skin I'm wearing called 'Ginevra' in the pale tone.  I didn't own an Izzies skin (god only knows why) but I'm completely won over...it's amazing skin and the faces are ever so pretty.

The hair is great style from LeViere called 'Taylor' in Platinum.

I picked up these fabo shoes at Slink called 'Cassandra' in Forest.

I need to have a serious shop because I'm running out of things to blog. How this has happened I don't know because I always seem to be shopping.  I've been through my 'to blog file' and some of the stuff didn't inspire me anymore...Cha needs to get her run on because the cupboard is getting bare.

I Purr In La Fleur.

This post is a bit picture laden but only because I adore this dress that I found on Marketplace for $150L from La Fleur.  Simply called the 'Mesh Old Fashioned Dress Model 4', I fell for it hook, line and sinker and hoped that it would look as lovely on as it did in the picture.  It totally exceeded my expectations and taking a look at the offerings from La Fleur on Marketplace, know I have found a new favorite store.

Take a look at that stunning cut and pattern.  It screams sexy and reminds me that there are people out there making damned fine clothing at reasonable prices. I love the little sleeve, tight bodice escaping into a finely draped full skirt.

I'm loving the hair choice from Wasabi Pills called 'Tanya' in the color Seafoam.  I'm feeling very Brigitte Bardot.  A lot of thought has gone into this dress when you look at the chocolate striped edging on the skirt with the flower treatment peaking through.

I accessorized the shoes and bag in chocolate both by Faenzo.  The shoes are made to wear with the Slink Add-On feet so I was extra happy to buy them.  The bag is called 'Sookie' and has beautiful hardware.

Here's the outfit in its entirety and I'm thrilled with the result. I ain't taking this off today that's for sure.

SHI May Be The Reason I Survive.

I woke up this morning (only 2 hours ago Aussie time) to a cup of Nespresso cappuccino (yes George Clooney, you're not the only star indulging), a slice of banana bread and these pictures to edit.  I had taken them last night and couldn't wait to get them up on the blog.  Gosh darlings, this is one of my favorite outfits ever.  I found the top and pants at SHI, a store I'm sorry to say, I hadn't visited before.

I just adore the amazing Japanese inspired top with bow upon bow tucking it in at the waist.  Bold peacock feathers dominate the pattern and how sexy is the off the shoulder detail?

I added the Nocturn Orchyds Fascinator hat from LaGyo which I think compliments the outfit without dominating.

I don't know about you, but I always labor over my jewelry selection because I feel it can make or break an outfit.  I just couldn't find what I wanted in my inventory and ended up TP'ing all over the place but ended up at my old faithful, Mandala.  The earrings and bracelets were just what I envisioned so scooped them up quick smart.

I went for tangerine colored shoes from Kunglers called 'Morgana Pumps' in Coral.  I'm just thrilled with the look and to have found SHI, which in Chinese, represents rock.

I do laugh at myself when I begin styling an outfit.  People who see me must think - "OMG look at her dress sense" because I have on all sorts of things.  I just TP from home without even thinking what I must look like.  But in the end, its all worth it when I'm happy with my finished product.
