Haughty Houndstooth.

I'm loving the shop Little Bones and recently picked up this smart woolen jacket with houndstooth scarf called 'Liberty Cinched Coat'.  Considering that good fashion lay in the finer details, I love the slip of a leather belt with skull motif clinched in at the waist. Given in 1959, Christian Dior used the black and white houndstooth motif on a line of court shoes, many other fashion houses have since incorporated the print in their fashion lines over the years and was adopted by the upper class as a symbol of wealth.  I love the juxtaposition of the not so overly tailored cut of the woolen jacket with the scarf that is the epitome of high fashion couture.

I managed to find a houndstooth bag from IAF (Designer: Amber Swallowtail) and thought some short gloves would make a smart statement.  These were from Nemesis which is unfortunately now closed but regardless, there are heaps of great shops selling gloves.  I wore two tone tights in black and grey from Sleeping Koala. You'll see in the shoe shot below that the tights are one color in the front and another in the back.

I wanted ear clips rather than dangly ones that would be hidden in the scarf and wore 'Voyante Plain Ear Clips' that are color change from Je Suis.  My bangle is called 'Stone Age' from Gizza.  My neat little bun is from Paper Couture....make me more of these PC PLEASE.  Your texturing of the tattoo layer hair is second to none.

Now are these not a work of art?  I LOVE my GOS 'Storm Sandals to bits.

Sexy In The City...Literally.

Sometimes it's the simplest of pieces that catches your eye because of the material or colors.  That is what this cute item from Graffitiwear called 'Skyscraper Bare Shoulder Jumpsuit' did for me.  I loved the geometry of the pattern emulating city skyscraper's and the shades of black and grey with splashes of red.  It's such a clever and well thought out piece of tailoring.

I decided to pop on some knee length leggings in grey from Art Decade which are equally well made with subtle folds and creases that add authenticity.

I wanted bold jewellery to compliment the bold pattern and headed over to Chop Zuey Couture Jewellery who are renowned for such things.  I found a smart earring and necklace set called 'Chasing Windmills' along with the 'Black Ice' bracelet (camera left) and cute as can be clutch called 'Feu Follet'.  I downsized the purse some to a more petite size.

I adore Paper Couture's hair called 'Slicked Parted Hair Bun' in Blond.  So sleek and elegant.  I wish they would do more hair because every style I've ever purchased has that real authentic model look.  Not too prissy or over-done and allows the clothing to take center stage.

I'm in total shoe lust with everything produced at Just Designs and found these platform thongs called 'Infra' in black.  I say 'thongs' because I'm an aussie but I think the rest of the world calls them flip flops if I'm not mistaken?  To me they're drool worthy as is every row of shoes my eyes gaze upon.  Look at the little 'JD' logo on the strap and delicate silver anklet...tickle me pink til Tuesday, I LOVE these.

Standing in the serene surroundings of the 'Cyprian Garden', I couldn't be more happy with the look I created around the zany little jump suit from Graffitiwear.

A Date With Bogart.

I felt like creating some old world glamor but with a little twist.  I found this stunner of a mesh dress in a gorgeous eggplant color and animal patterned vibrant print panels running down the sides from CIA Designs, a store I was unfamiliar with.  When I spotted it I thought the cut was so elegant but the streaks of color transformed it from your average long gown.  I accessorized using the lime green to accentuate the splashes of color.

The bag is such a good match and I was happy to find it at the Alexandra Sautereau Collection.

The hair is from Paper Couture fittingly named 'Bacall Bob'.

The earrings and bracelets are from Mandala.  I love the silhouette of this dress, very classic but with a modern feel.

I took these pics at 'Ghostsville', a great sim for photo taking.

The Beautiful Cheongsam

Well I brought a fat pack from Glam Affair.  I adored the Amberly skin on Cha so before I could change my mind, clicked quick smart.  It's an amazing skin and the make ups are so varied...a look for every look so to speak.

I did have a wee spend up on some more outfits to blog and this one excited me no end.  I fell head over for the striking red and white Chinese inspired Cheongsam style dress with black trim.  Figure hugging with barely room to breathe, its so flattering and sexy.  I found it at TuTy's, a shop I wasn't familiar with but oh my lord I will be in the future. The hair base and pony tail is also from TuTy's...go check out their hair.  WOW.

For some reason I couldn't get these 'Pony Girl Boots' from Boudoir out of my head and just had to wear them.  They've got horse shoes for soles.

Its not that simple finding a blood red bag but I got lucky with the 'Heart Purse' at Fashionably Dead located at Tableau.  The flower mask is another Boudoir buy and was just a little extra to give the outfit the Cha Cha touch.

I won't be swabbing no decks with this dress darlings.

You Cast A Spell On Me

Just a quickie from the front line of fashion fabulousness, here's a sophisticated look by the wonderful label, Loovus Dzavavor.  I have no idea how to pronounce the second name but with fashion as wonderful as this, LD will do me.  WOW.  Miss Vikeeeah Xevion has a stunning collection and I'm so excited and eager to buy more.  I purchased the shoes there also which match the dress and felt that slick locks and minimal accessories would do this bold print justice.

So for fashionista's who like to look sophisticated and polished from head to toe, this label has it all.

I Will Love You Until You Learn To Love Yourself

O.M.G.  Why didn't anyone tell me that DeLa was selling hair?  That was very mean of you.  I've always been a big DeLa fan and when I TP'd in and saw HAIR, well I was elated and I think I hyperventilated a bit.  Here I'm wearing "Popo 11" and I adore it.

Now I want to introduce you to a designer that I stumbled upon yesterday.  It's always a thrill to come across a shop that you didn't know about and even better when you like their stuff.  The store is "Alice Blue" and the Flopsy Blue Cardigan and Pink Orchid Tank are purchased together and come in other colors and designs on the tank.  My god I love it and I think the designer Aaliyah Imari is very talented indeed...do go check out her shop.  She sells clothes, jewelery and lots of other things.

Looks like I might be going into hospital tomorrow so if I go awol, I'll be back.

Bathed In Black.

What I most enjoy about fashion is the fact that rules are made to be broken.  Like wearing a vintage style bathing cap with a formal gown.  How can you not feel fabulous strutting your stuff with all eyes turned in your direction in awe of your chutzpah.  I found this layered black number in Aleida called 'Perry Frilled Temptation' and I love the aesthetic of the expanding layers.  I hitched the skirt up a bit to show case the lofty 'Pretender' heels in Lime from Ladies Who Lunch.  It was then I spied the 'Couture Bathing Cap' and thought "Chalice you must cross pollinate Ladies Who Lunch with Aleida" to create this look.

I so love the cap with a gazillion bows and the vividness of the green is ever so beautiful and reminds me of a well manicured lawn.  I also popped into Miamai for some 'Rainbow Warriors Green' lashes and added la vie eye liner tattoo in Pistachio from Label Mode for even more green drama.

Don't you just love the heights we can reach in styling something unique from the many talented designers in world?  Who ever said SL is fashionably dead?  The uninspired that's who!.

My Big Black Dress from Sascha's Designs.

Sasha Frangilli, designer and owner of Sascha's Designs sent me this formal gown she named Pencarrow early in the month and I'm afraid I have been MIA since I received it.  As I've stated in my blog blurb, in the main I blog what I like rather than 'road test' items.  This may change if I want to take the blog in another direction, but for the moment I continue to enjoy putting together looks I like.  Whilst I'm not a big gown wearer, I did have fun styling this classic black formal that I consider another quality item from Sascha's.

And she wore:

Gizza Gave Me A Jolly Good Rogering.

My wardrobe is a mess.  I can't find anything and it's like a lucky dip when I prepare for a blogging.  I found this outfit called 'Jolly' from Gizza in the dark recesses and popped it on.  It reminded me of everything wonderful about this label.  A label that has taken off with a bullet.

I haven't visited Gizza in quite some time and as luck would have it, I dropped in on the new main store and imbibed all that funky fashion until my eyes couldn't take it anymore and they screamed 'stop...it's all too beautiful'.

I jumped on my photo studio purchased from Second Snaps Studio and took these pics as a way of saying thank you to Auster Elan and Giz Seom for their incredible contribution to the SL fashion industry.  While I can't remember ever receiving this outfit, it was great that I found it and took the opportunity to see some of the amazing pieces being produced for us all to enjoy..  I was salivating over the coats and jackets in particular.

BoHo HoBo Show Girl.

I tried so hard to get this post out before the Boho Fusion Fashion Show on Sunday 2nd October at 6.30pm organized by Avante Modeling Agency. My favorite designer Trill Zapatero from BoHo HoBo was a part of the show and despite having completed my BoHo HoBo shots, it was midnight before I finished and I just couldn't bring it home. Sorry Trill but I do have some BoHo HoBo magic to share. I hope it was a huge success and I'm just sorry I wasn't able to attend to cheer you and the other designers on.  Don't forget all proceeds from BoHo HoBo is donated to RAWA - read here.

Nardcotix Takes Over Second Life.

Nardya Rousselot makes stunning shoes., there's absolutely no disputing that.  How lucky are we that she has expanded her Nardcotix label to include the most amazing dresses and hats on the grid.  I spied them at Modavia Fashion Week and was utterly impressed with what I saw but when I received them one morning when I logged on (thanks Nardya x), upon closer inspection on Chal's body, well they are even more beautiful than in the pictures.  Her talents in millinery are unrivaled in my opinion and I take great pleasure in showcasing her work.

The Flair Of LaViere.

Hello precious ones....yes YOU.

Here is another wee purchase from my time at Modavia Fashion Week when I stumbled across some vendor posters with one of them showing this wonderful, fresh white outfit from LaViere called 'The Blanche'. I loved it immediately and loved the price even more. If memory serves me correctly, it was only about L$150. I hadn't heard of LaViere before and post my picture taking, I took a trip over to the shop. The designer, Azure Electricteeth (one wonders whether she can carve the Sunday roast with her mouth) appears to be starting up shop at Elsewhere and I must say, I'm excited. The shop design is smart and already filled with lots of lovely things.  I may be wrong but given it's not entirely filled, I'm gathering its a new venture...I apologize if I'm incorrect here.

I went looking for white shoes and at my first stop, Similar Italian Footwear, I found a gorgeous pair called 'Otranto'. OMG I'm in love with my feet. I have fallen in complete love with this brand and I simply can't get enough of them.

I'm a lucky girl. When I logged yesterday, the one and only Maddox DuPont of MaDesigns fame was kind enough to send me copies of all his new release couture hair. OMG people...they are stunning. I can't help wonder if he meant to forward them to someone else but Maddox, I'm extremely grateful and will be showcasing the various styles as I blog. Here I'm wearing my favorite, Maya. I also found these cute silver steam punk glasses from Amaranthus, a Victorian Gothic Jewelery and Accessory store I found at the Jewelery Fair.

I found the snazzy white belt called Tory from LeLutka and the riding crop was a giftie from Violator. It's scripted so you can smack anyone you like. Anyway, enough from me.  On to the next outfit...
