Head Honcho In My Poncho
Look at this lacy poncho with a hint of nipple from LeeZu. Quite an unusual piece in SL don't you think? There are a variety of choices in style and color available - sheer knit (shown), sheer royal, sheer glitter and sheer wool. It is such a comfort to my affair with fashion to have LeeZu in SL. I remember coming across her store many years ago now and it was then I realized that there is fashion and then there is LeeZu. She never ceases to cut a swathe through the industry and shows us that wonderful couture is possible.
Another amazing designer is Mirai Jun from Ce Cubic Effect. I consider her collection to be earthy, organic, wearable and stylish with impeccable texturing. The 'fabrics' are so evident to the buyer such as you can see that a skirt is linen or a jumper is wool. Quite a feat given the constraints in SL but her label is always honest and great value for money.
Above is the black Tiered Skirt from Ce Cubic Effect. I'm also wearing full length velvet gloves by Baiastice that accommodate an open or closed hand.
These are a great pair of boots called Baviera from Crazy Clothes. They are absolutely brilliant.

Praying The Seams Hold.
I once wore a dress so tight and short a few years ago that I literally couldn't sit down, which was a terrible shame because my shoes were killing me. I knew before I walked out the door, I'd regret it no matter how fantastic I thought I looked. I spent most of the night worrying about whether I was flashing my crotch to the crowd and praying the seams didn't explode in the middle of the club. It was at that point in my life that I promised myself if ya can't sit in it, ya don't wear it.
That aside, Chalice never has to worry about such things and this slip of a dress from Alaskametro called 'Milla' in Pebble Beige was something I put away in the closet to blog some day. Its simply cut but the lace and color sets it apart from other little dresses and great for clubbing the night away. It has a traditional elegance but with oodles of sex appeal.
Styling this look was also an opportunity to show you the new 'Daisy' hair from LeLutka with roots in the 'Marilyn' tone. Loose, casual and perfect for unabashed freedom on the dance floor, I really love this style.
Worn with Kalnin's amazing 'Scarlett' footwear and a little clutch from Baiastice, this simple yet eye-catching look is something you can easily throw on after work when you and your buddies are up for some drinks and dancing. I was told this evening that Kalnins Footwear no longer exist in SL or may have been sold to an outlet. If anyone finds a LM for Kalnin's shoes, please share with me.
This dress does need to come with a warning though, 'Please don't pick a loose thread' or you could be in BIG trouble.
Here I'm using a new photo studio that I purchased from pose store PNP Megastore. I came across this when PNP sent out some free background texture packs and I was intrigued to know exactly what they were for. I strolled through the huge store and found the PNP Photo Studio V3 that comes with pose stand and texture hud whereby you can add more textures and poses to both via edit. What I like about this studio is the size of it. Very wide and high so you can pull back without loosing the picture. It also comes with a control module to remove/show the pose stand and move your avatar by using the arrows to place yourself in different positions. Easy as pie. I think this is great for people who like to shoot backgrounds in world using a variety of wind-light settings. You can then add them to the background hud and have the control to concentrate on lighting your avatar on your own land without interruption from visitors etc. Also PNP have a huge variety of backgrounds for sale to add to the hud if that's what you'd prefer. I do love shooting at different locations but when using some of the wind-light settings, while making magic with the landscape, can turn my avatar into the ugliest thing imaginable. Drop in the store and have a play with it. You'll find a mass of poses and other photographic items.

Chantkari's In The Dressing Room
Took a flying visit to The Dressing Room Blue yesterday and looked no further than this vibrant dress from Chantkari for a steal at $70L.
Having just purchased the 'Night Coffee' hair on sale from Vanity Hair, I couldn't go past crazy locks with colorful boho style.
Take a look a these fabulous suede gloves from Celoe in 'Rust'. The earrings, array of bangles and necklace are amazing jewelery pieces from Maylo Designs. One of the favorite bags I own is the 'Old Batik Indi' from Baiastice that I bring out at every opportunity.
Overall, I love my zany take on the Chantkare 'Maje' dress finishing off with my blue leggings from Tee*fy and my Pascal Sock shoes from Leverocci. I'm wearing Linn Skin from Glam Affair with a freckle tattoo from the Daphne Skin range at Glance (designer Ava Grau - no LM available for some reason)..

Don't Go For Second Best Baby...VoguE.
I went shopping at VoguE last night and was so pleasantly surprised by all the fabulous outfits. Designer Zalyn Bailey has created a huge clothing collection from lingerie to formal ball gowns and everything in between. I particularly loved the items to the left of the store as you enter and I wondered if these pieces may be her newest designs because of the superb quality and in my opinion, there was a more stylized aesthetic to the clothes.
The color of this dress just drew me in and my bank balance didn't stand a chance. The dress is called 'Joan' ($299L) in Olive and the detail on the texture and intricate shading brings this dress to life. Close up it simply knocks my socks off. I also purchased the 'Marilla' Jacket {$299L) in Onyx with a stiff peaked collar and 'Sharmine' Stole ($80L) also in Olive. For eyes that pop, I added VoguE Model tattoo Eye Makeup (Series 2-F $50L) and am confident to bat an eyelid in anyone's direction. Don't take my word for it, go VoguE, go VoguE.
I keep crediting him post after post, but I wanted to officially thank Ikon Inovia, the eye designer from Fashism for giving us the most stunning peepers in SL. You must know our souls pretty well by now darling.
The other stuff:
Hair: Suzy Chouchou in Platinum from Kik ($100L)
Skin: Bella in Pale (Forrest make up) by Redgrave 10 skins with blood red lip tattoo ($1490L)
Nails: Pixel Mode Sculpted Nail Kit ($300L)
Earrings: Black Lace from Glow Studio
Bangles: Mandala
Clutch: Camelia Pochette by Baiastice
Shoes: Allure with Socks from Maitreya
Eyes: Sunrise Eye collection in Pale Mint from Fashism ($150L)

Perhaps I'm being a bitchy blogger but do others wish that sometimes a designer would stop by their blog from time to time just to acknowledge your efforts when you showcase their creation(s)?? I guess I'm contradicting myself because I do blog because I love it and not for external reward; however, I rarely ever get any form of acknowledgement...just a 'thanks for that' or 'I like what you did'. Maybe I'm just hormonal and it won't stop me doing what I love but just a little SOMETHING just to know they've seen it would be nice. What do others think? See, now I've scared everyone off.

Pretty Casual In Oyakin.
One thing I always know I'm gonna get when I shop at Oyakin is quality. The textures are always top notch and the construction well executed. I spied these girly jeans complete with lace bows and trimming at the cuff and thought 'me gotta get some of those'. No sooner had I closed my purse when I noticed the 'Romantic' cami in the most stunning hues and the purse was opened once again. Its all kind of boho shabby chic.
"Officer, that is not a bong, its a vase...honestly".
Check out the bum bow. Guaranteed to cover up all manner of flaws.
I'm loving the Vanity Hair $60L weekend special #5 I picked up the other day called Jackie in Essence tone worn here. It's so big, getting out the door was a struggle.
Anyway gorgeous ones. I got some more outfits to blog so I better get to it. Have you noticed the amazing fashion blogs around at the moment? They're better than ever and I think all you people who peruse the fashion feeds are very lucky. You have no excuse to not look FABULOUS.
Oh and by the way. My Cha Cha Blogger Award of the week goes to Lila Quander's blog, Demented Divas. In my opinion, its one of the most stylish, slickest fashion blogs around and the effort that it must take to achieve such a high standard is huge. She just gets it SO right.

Some Lace With Your Zombie???????
Hey SLifer's...No I didn't forget to put a top on under my lace jacket in case you were wondering. Cleavage is in don't you know? To be more precise, it's OUT, like let it hang out at every opportunity. A little slither of magic tape and not a slip of the nip in sight. I wanted my ZOMBIE Stomach Wound to feature prominently created by Max Lexigle from Repulse for the upcoming Zombie Popcorn Hunt running from June 1st to 15th. I had a great time at the last Zombie Hunt so here's hoping this year's a cracker.
Yoriminaty Beresford from Yorim's Factory is a designer I greatly admire and this lace cardigan in brown called to me from across the shop. I've worked out my purchasing MO (modus operandi) only recently. I buy things I like with no idea what I'm going to do with them. This look started with the cardigan and Zombie tattoo layer and developed from there. I like the juxtaposition of lace with gaping wound.
It felt like everyone was at the recent boot sale at Stiletto Moody. Somehow I pulled a swifty as I was wading through the thick mud of lag near the front entrance. I cammed in to the boot section and clicked 'sit' on a vendor poster. Next thing I was past all the other shoppers right where I wanted to be. Click, click, click and I bagged my boots. Here are the Bare Lucille's...a heelless wonder of fantasmic proportions. Works well with my Croco bag from Septem Essentia. 75% off some Moody magic just couldn't be overlooked.
I've worn these Burleske tights to shreds from LeeZu as they go with so many things. A big shout out to Glow Studio for the necklace/earrings, Redgrave for the Trinity skin/hair layer and Baiastice for the hair attachment.
I award my crown to the undeniably talented designer and business woman Linka Demina from [glow] Studio . Not only does she have the most dynamic and cutting edge label around, she's also affiliated with The Dressing Room and The Dressing Room Blue. I've never met Linka but her work inspires me and makes me proud to be a SL fashion lover. Thank you Linka.

There's Something About Agnes.
If you haven't left Orientation Island yet, I forgive you for not knowing Agnes Finney's clothing label, My Precious. Anyone who has a modicum of interest in SL fashion will know the amazing brand that Agnes has created. Apart from the uber huge success of My Precious Queen competition run annually, Agnes' designs have graced the biggest and the best. Imagine my delight when Ms Finney inquired if I, lil' ole me, would be interested in blogging her Rosaline gown in all three colors. The ink wasn't dry when I returned the note card and sure enough, three Rosaline dresses were delivered toute de suite.
Gorgeous, amazing, stunning...I could go on all day but lets allow the dress to do the talking shall we?

If you enter SL for a bit of fashion fantasy then her gowns, hair and hats will thrill you to the bone. Just don't blame me if you end up in a couture conundrum wondering which one to buy. Seriously beautiful.

Happy Feet.
Chalice is happy. While her computer may be groaning under the pressure at the Hair Fair, she on the other hand, is squealing in delight. The artistry of many of the hair's this year has opened up a whole world for those of us who love to create new looks. There is a definite lean towards the dramatic and that my dears, has injected new life into the fashion community. Oh yes it has...don't argue!
You only have to get out and about at the runway shows to know there is something special happening and I think designers are bringing us a complexity of style that hasn't been seen before. I personally have seen an explosion of talent since the untimely death of Steve McQueen and how SL creators jumped at the chance to honor his life through fashion.
Speaking of which, I do love to come up with something that isn't conventional or expected and I find that by adding a little humor, you can set yourself apart from the main.

Baiastice New Release - Hair Attachments To Die For.
This post is NOT about the fabulous Pois Satin dress from Baiastice currently available for a song at The Dressing Room Blue. No sir...people have already blogged that. This is about Sissy's new line of hair attachments recently released. I have just allowed Sissy to travel first class to the Maldives with the L's I just spent in her store. Well first class by Linden Airways to the next sim maybe. I couldn't count the number of styles she has produced but each attachment is available with 12 hair shades included for sale at a measly $150L.
I have only presented one style, the Lucrezia, because I want you all to TP to the Baiastice Beauty Department and demo till you drop.
Of course being an attachment, you'll need a quality hair base or hair tattoo but I'm sure nearly everyone has these. The hair attachment phenomena has become my absolute favorite SL invention of late and I simply can't get enough of them.
I was so excited to post, I didn't even bother about finding a location. I just took these on my pool deck. Yay for Sissy.
Dating Me In Elymode.
I don't need a date. I'm wearing Elymode. Actually I don't need a date because I'm married in RL but you get the picture. Wearing Elymode and looking as gorgeous as this, well Chalice is never lonely.
The top and skirt from Elymode are called Pacifica and I've chosen to show it in black; however, its also available in green, purple and blue. Ely has been busy with her silk worms again, because the material is lustrous and looks as if it has been spun with silver thread.
I accessorized heavily in silver, donning a buxom feather hair needle because when in doubt, wear a feather. Silver scarf, ring, bangle and bag complete the black/silver combo.
I was utterly thrilled to be able to wear my LeLutka skin black hair base with the gorgeous hair attachment from Vanity Hair. I personally love the melding of these two items creating a slick, classic style.
If you want to date yourself in Elymode, I highly recommend it. I was the best date I ever had.

SL WE HAVE A PROBLEM. Don't tell me we're going down this road again. Remember the system skirt issue of a couple of years ago? This is happening too often lately when I log in. Is there a Mr Fix It in the house?

I'm In The Mode For Elymood - Doh - That's Elymode.
Wooo hooo. Elymode has received a face lift and to mark the occasion, Elysium Eilde has new releases, gifts, limited release items and in-world-group exclusives.
In these pics, I'm wearing pieces from the Dulce De Leche set. Ely had a vision of this cream and caramel version of the existing set of bright, sugary colors that is now only available until the 26th of August. Never fear, this delicious cream/caramel set is perfect for autumn and as you can see, the options are endless.
I do have some other Elymode loveliness to bring you when I can. Ely creates the best textures. It's almost like she has a silkworm farm in the backyard producing the finest fabrics. Do you Ely? Do you?
What are you wearing Chalice?
I'm wearing LeLutka skin, Lamb hair, Elymode clothes, Maitreya Gold shoes, J's nail polish, Exodi earrings and necklace, Sey scarf, rings from Flirt and Earthstones, Baiastice sneakers, Miel hair flowers

Kalnins The Wonder Shoes.
![]() |
| Wonder by Kalnins. |
A big thank you to Maris Kanto, designer of Kalnins shoes and shades. Once again, Mr Kanto has shared his new release shoe with blogger's and this is one right out the shoe box. Appropriately called Wonder, I have entirely fallen in love with this smart strappy heel with excellent shading and delightful tootsies. What I adore about Kalnins' prim toed shoes is the easy to operate hud. I consider myself the perfect gauge for huds, because I am so challenged, if I can use it, anyone can.
I would just love this shoe in RL. Its stylish and really does look comfortable.
I wanted to bring out this lovely top to show you, beautifully designed by Fhara Acacia from Ricielli . I purchased this from The Dressing Room Blue as Ms Acacia is a member of this designers group who provide quality items at a discount. I couldn't go past this Batik Gold Bag from Baiastice. The skirt is from Cubic Effect, a buy from some time ago but I'm sure if they don't have this, there will be something similar.

Lionskins Make Chalice Roar.
Lion Jonesford, skin designer and CEO of Lionskins has been transforming us into creatures of beauty for some time now and her recent skin line, Nova, is a testament to her immense and indisputable talents. You can't go past Lionskins for print and runway work because of the vivid, artistic make ups that come in a plethora of options to satisfy the most imaginative stylist. What is even more wonderful is the pairing of Tabata Jewell from Vanity Hair and Lionskins to create a skin/hair fusion so amazing that I ran right out of my NCore Cherie Passion Heels in my hurry to get it all on. Tabata has put together a selection of hair pieces made specifically for Lion's Nova range. What a thrill and advancement this is in hair/skin offerings and the moment I cammed back to view my outfit, I just smiled with a sense of satisfaction. SL is just going from strength to strength. Artistically that is, not fiscally. The hair I'm wearing is China Temptation in Blond.
I found this wonderful Chantkare dress called Ascot at Applonia Criss' store at GOL that was on sale for $150L. Its divine and I chose this to wear with my new Lionskin/Vanity Hair purchase. A profusion of strong colors and almost Aztec in its pattern, I paired it with the Old Batik Indi bag from Baiastice. I think it works beautifully together.
You know I am a Simay devotee (see previous posts) and these earrings and necklace are called Gold and Coral. They are just so pretty and unlike some jewelery in SL that isn't so good in the flesh, these are even better than the vendor poster. Thank you Silvia Mayo (designer) for being so kind to me yesterday. Big hugs. I hope you have all gone for a visit to her store? I promise you won't be disappointed.
As I said, I'm wearing my new NCore Cherie Xtreme Heels in Red Passion. I love the luster and worn feel of these shoes.
I finished off with my favorite watch, the Flight Compass from the wonderful Indyra Seigo from Indyra Originals. Now if you are lazy like me and prefer to shop than roost on a pose stand trying to align lashes, Tattanooga at Jador Fashion are selling a fat pack of mascara tattoo's. Five different styles for a mere $500L's and no crying over the pose stand. It paid for itself by not having to put money in the swear jar.
I'll be back with another Chantkare dress on special and a new Vanity Hair spectacular.
