Bizarre Hair Affair - Part 1.

WOW I got lucky the day Mz MyStiCa Matova sent me a friendly IM asking if I would be interested in blogging her hair label, Bizarre.  Ignorant me knew of it, but hadn't taken the time to go look.  I responded saying I'd love to have a go and MyStiCa sent me over three do's.

The first I'm showing you is Pearl in the Bizarre Classics Collection available in 8 fabulous colors.  You receive the hair base, a bun attachment, wispy hair attachment, hair pearls, necklace and earrings and let me tell you, I LOVE this hair to bits.

I'm wearing the Dirty Blond color and I just adore the luster and highlights in the hair and the way its pulled back in sections.  If the hair isn't amazing enough on its own, the jewelery is excellently constructed and compliments the style brilliantly.

A view from the back is equally pleasing and I'm just so happy that Mz Matova contacted me or else it may have taken me longer to discover this unreal hair designer.  She sure has flair with hair.

I'll post my other two styles as soon as possible.

Skin: Jadis 11 from Glam Affair
Hair: Pearl from the Classics Collection - Bizarre Hair.
Earrings and Necklace: From Pearl hair - Bizarre Hair.
Eyes: Sunrise Eyes in Pale Blue from Fashism.
Nails: From Mandala.
Dress: Lucille Pleated Silk Gown from Barebones (mesh).

I Let My Fur And Feathers Fly in Paris Metro.

When I think grand, decadent fashion in SL, Paris Metro immediately comes to mind and one walk around the cavernous shop is testament to this.  Here I'm wearing a stunning gown called 'Take Flight Red and Black Bird' that sells for $1500L but worth every cent if its impact you're after.

The vision of red and black birds can be seen in the overlay material and is replicated in the full length gloves that formalize the look for that special event.  RFB Morpork is a visionary creating big gowns to sweep all who gaze upon them off their feet.

I'm wearing K.I.A. shoes in Ruby from LeLutka that sell for $875L.  I'm very partial to these.

Now you might be forgiven for thinking this is merely dark hair.  It's far more quirky than hair, it is the 'Jandora Fur Hat' from Bliss Couture ($198L) worn with the 'Little Black Pillbox Hat' from Eclectica ($350L) that I re-colored in red tones.

Hope you like my interpretation of the 'Take Flight Red and Black Bird' dress.

Other Stuff:
Skin: Fashion Monster Skin from Modern Gypsy (gifty skin).
Eyeliner: Tattoo Red Eyeshadow from Little Petites Details (free).
Eyeshadow: From Little Petites Details (free).
Eyes: Sunshine in Pale Steel Blue from Fashism ($150L)
Bag: From Muism (can't find it anymore)
Necklace: Timeless Knotted Necklace from Encore (store closed).
Location: Venexia.

Chalice Wears Jovan By Angel Dessous.

Click pictures for more detail.

Mirror, mirror on the wall.
Who's the most angelic of them all?
Well Chalice is today wearing Angel Dessous' new Jovan gown.

Don't mean to boast or anything but it's the gown. The gown I tell you. It is without doubt, a heaven sent piece of couture. Sent to me from the design house of Jezzy McCallen's Angel Dessous Couture, the Jovan is an exquisite, perfectly formed gown with a the most amazing folds that make up the skirt. A stunning bow sits low at the waist with a matching drape of material that floats delicately to the floor. If that isn't enough, a fur and feather collar frames the face adding just the right amount of drama without being too tizzy.

Jovan is also available in a white skirt with black top and black skirt with a white top.

A special detail is the gossamer fine layer of tulle that is attached to the skirt bringing it to life even more. The gown is an artwork on it's own so I felt simple accessorizing was best.

Thank you to Angel Dessous for sharing this gorgeous gown with me. The black on black in particular is right down my avenue and this will be my special gown for special occasions. You have to wear it to believe how beautiful it is.

The Empress Butterfly by My Precious.

This stunning gown is another gem from Agnes Finney's My Precious label. I always have a slight attack of nerves before I attempt to style and capture her work because I want to do it justice. I never think I do but nonetheless, I try.

I have come to appreciate her attention to detail, amazing use of texture and her ability to make her outfits float and dance when moving. As the outfit is non-modify, you'll need to wear your little skirt shape to avoid splitting the system skirt but once on, it fits like a glove. Chalice is the tallest one can be in SL and if I don't pop on my narrow sparrow hip shape, I can split the textures of some skirts. The dress itself is simple and elegant while it is the bow and skirt attachments that bring this outfit to life.

Less was more in terms of accessories so just wore these lovely long earrings from Glow Studio that dust the shoulders. Some quality prim nails from je suis in a complimentary pink hue, the new amazing pale glow skin from LAQ and this new release do from Miamai called Kana and I'm done.

I have fallen in love with Di Hoorenbeek's poses from Di's Opera particularly her Fatale series. They come with cigarette's for that Marlene Dietrich feel but let me assure you, these are only herbal fags. Honestly officer, I'm smoking oregano.

My selection LM's:
Hair & Base: Kana in Brown by Miamai
Skin: Elena Glow in Pale tone by LAQ
Eyes: Adorable Series in Opal by PixelDolls
Dress: Butterfly Empress by Agnes Finney - My Precious
Nails: Pink range by je suis
Earrings: White Dreams by Glow Studio
Poses & Cigarette: By Di's Opera (Fatale series)

Photoshopped: Yes
Item provided by designer: Yes

Finally I've had a moment to present this gorgeous number from Sascha's Designs appropriately titled Very Berry Christmas. Wear this and Santa's gonna empty his sack in your bed on Christmas night make no mistake. He won't worry about whether you've been naughty or nice, he'll just deliver.

A glorious mix of sequins and rich red material, Very Berry Christmas comes with an array of skirt styles from figure hugging to one where you can fit Santa and his reindeer underneath and still have room to hide the pressies.

I personally think this is one of Sascha's best ever gowns and the color, well it's stunning.

It needs nothing more than great hair, a pair of elegant earrings and of course, you. Brilliant Sascha.

Chalice In Wonderland: Waterfall Gown by Sasha's Designs

I think Sascha Frangilli from Sascha's Designs must be 10 people because she's like a production line.  She keeps popping out these amazing outfits at a rate of knots and they are always FABULOUS DARLINKS.

She sent over her newest baby, the Waterfall Gown with so many options you could wear it in a variety of ways for a week.  As always, her color selection is like a palette of paints....aqua, black, forest, lavender, apple, magenta, pink, purple, royal blue and silver.  The textures of this set are gloriously rich akin to a shiny silk.  The shading is something again and it looks as though you are shimmying under the moon such is the reflection of light across the material.

Sascha is the mistress of movement.  Her clothing sways and sashay's with every step you take and to be honest, Chalice is sex on legs when she walks along in this gown.  You'll see what I mean in the pics below.

Having a weakness for vivid red, I chose to show the Waterfall Gown in apple.  Go on, take a bite.

As you can see, there's so many ways to wear this outfit by playing around with what's in the folder.  Sascha has designed another hat in addition to the beret that is available with the gown.  Shown in the second picture, the Waterfall Dop Hat complete with black lace veil is chic in the extreme.

If you're looking for a stand out, versatile classic gown, look no further than Waterfall.

Thank you Sascha...you really have done it again...and again....and again....you get the picture :-)

Click the pics to really appreciate the cut and texture.

Photo's taken on location at Ave Maria.

Chalice In Wonderland: Hyper Culture's Viviera Gown

I received a lovely note card recently from Ms Christensia Parkin, designer and owner of Hyper Culture inviting me to blog some of her clothing if I wished.  One thing that I know about Hyper Culture is that Christensia certainly works hard to market her outlet and going by the large variety of stock in the shop, must be a very busy woman.  I jumped at the chance to feature Hyper Culture on my blog and received the Viviera Gown in all hue's.

The dress is simply cut around the bodice to form a halter neck and is tightly fitted to the hips where it simply drapes down to the floor with very little poof.  You have a choice of the simple skirt or the train skirt as you can see in the photo's below.  Both skirts are beautifully constructed and hang perfectly.  A daring plunge back emulates the plunging neckline at the front.  Whilst the dress cut is simple, it is the gorgeous, sensuous silky texture of the material that brings this dress to life.  Similar to a paisley but with more va va voom, each color is vibrant, with a stunning shine that dazzles.

Hyper Culture is full of other treasures encompassing casual and formal wear.  Viviera would be an asset to any wardrobe and I'm very impressed with the textures.

Chalice In Wonderland: A Mad Cow Wearing a Mad Moo - From Sascha's Of Course

I am going to give you the drum on the best, BEST bargain in SL right now. You don't have to thank me because I do it for love although a foot rub, a fanning and a few grapes would be nice.  I strongly recommend that you get your cute butts down to Sascha's Designs for the amazing Mad Moo dress selling for a meager....DRUM ROLL PLEASE....$175L.

How can you not need a big black dress that is so simply elegant with it's display of silver beading reminiscent of a midnight sky full of stars.  The full lace skirt is gossamer light that it sashays as you walk and twirls as you turn.  Do not miss this one ladies (or gents) because you won't find something of this quality for such a low price.

Ms Sascha Frangilli has done it again guys.
