There's Power In The Flower.
You know you're wardrobe is in a bad way when you can't find the new coat you recently purchased. I've been searching high and low for my new acquisition from Peqe, a stunning floral coat called 'Pacific' I just assumed it hadn't arrived when there it was...voila.
Styling this look was lots of fun if not a bit of a challenge. I wanted to create a romantic and feminine look with an old world feel. Coats/jacket's can be tricky little things but Peqe has nailed it with a great drape to the coat that gives the impression of flowing material and the puffy prim sleeves match really well with the pattern of the jacket layer.
I racked my brain thinking about what I would wear under the coat and recalled this outfit I purchased so long ago from Redgrave called Nude Body Suit. God knows if it's still available but I loved it for the delicate diamante detail at the hem of the shorts, shirt bottom and neckline.
I've been holding onto this Christiana headpiece from Donna Flora for a while now eager to wear it with something that would do it justice. I love this hat to smithereens. I raided the jewel box big time for this look and draped myself in the Chicago Diamante selection (earrings, necklace and bracelet) from Eclectica.Jewelery. If you want quality, go Eclectica shopping. I also brought out my big gun Trinity Ring from Modern Gypsy that is akin to a bling-ified knuckle duster. Yay for you Micah.
To finish off my floral Lolita look, I snapped up this hat box called 'Faded Fragrance' from Le Poppycock. Loving that shine and luster on the bag...Amazing work Julliette Bade. Your shop is fabulous.

Jewelery With Edge From Behold Designs.

| Nail Cross earrings and Rubik's Cube bracelet from Behold Designs steps away from the norm. |
A few posts ago I promised I would show you this cool bracelet designed by EnCore Mayne from Behold Designs. It was fortuitous that when I was about to style my look for this shoot, EnCore sent out these fabulous Nail Cross earrings and I thought it was a great opportunity to show both pieces. How she did this bracelet I'll never know but I just love the fact that she doesn't follow tradition and reinvigorates an item that took the world by storm years ago.
The Nail Cross earrings are another variation on a theme and I love the delicate red stone at it's center and the fact they are made to look like horse shoe nails.
To compliment EnCore's unusual pieces, I opted for something avant-garde and I knew exactly where to go. BiancaF has been a favorite designer of mine for a million years and I popped over to see what treasures she had dreamed up. I spied an outfit called Body Structure and wore only the prim pieces of the exterior dress to keep color out of the equation so that the Rubik's Cube bracelet had center stage.
To avoid hair taking over the look, I wore a knitted turban from Ce Cubic Effect and poked in some flexi feathers created by SL resident Vanilla Sola.
I had so much fun discovering NOMOS2, a residential role play sim that is just so well built with amazing views everywhere you turn. It felt like I was in the movie Blade Runner.
Thank you EnCore for the earrings love. I'm still working on solving the Rubik's Cube. I might have it by next year.

Grease Lightning Wearing Eclectica.

I've made up my own show called 'My Bathroom's Got Talent'. I'm the star and for my debut I performed Grease Lightning wearing my new favorite jewelery, Eclectica. As promised, I'm presenting another fabulous set called Nouveau Rose in lilac. This set consists of earrings, necklace, ring and bracelet all for only 300L.

As you can see, a lot of work has gone into the creation of Nouveau and like Tiffy's other pieces, the details reveal themselves the more you look at it.
The top I am wearing is called Antique Tunic in pink, a recent find from my shopping trip to Albero: Girls Select Shopping Mall. I found this great little store there called oyakin. Go have a look...lots of lovely stuff.
Until next time remember, if you can't say anything nice, come sit by me.

Eclectica Jewelery - As Distinctive As You.

I am truly excited to present this next creator and am totally shocked that I hadn't had the pleasure of discovering her wonderful jewelery before now. Ms Tiffy Vella is the force behind Eclectica, an amazing jewelery retailer in SL. How I didn't know about Eclectica is beyond me because if I had laid eyes on these pieces before, I would have sung it from the roof tops. Tiffy contacted me and asked if I would be interested in presenting a selection of items on my blog. I quickly viewed her profile and in picks under her store, spied a picture of her jewelery and was immediately smitten. I was thrilled when Tiffy sent me a review folder of two of her designs.
Shown here is the Vintage Rose set in lumière consisting of 2 types of earrings (long and short), necklace and ring. This is a new release set and accompanies the Vintage Rose Hatpin in pourpre. The work and fine detail in these jewelery pieces is phenomenal. Reminiscent of filigree, the twists and turns are so interesting yet the amazing part is the price. The Vintage Rose set is only 300L and the Hatpin is only 85L.

I have another set I'll blog tomorrow. If you haven't heard about Eclectica before, believe me you have to go check it out. I am just so happy to have crossed paths with Tiffy because her designs are exquisite.

Impossible Cross Earrings from BEHOLD Designs. EnCore Made Them Possible.
One of my 12 special women I chose to send the '12 Women' note card to that is currently doing the rounds, EnCore Mayne has been designing things in SL for quite some time. From pogo sticks to jewelery and everything in between, I am constantly amazed at her knowledge and love her uniqueness. She displays her creations at BEHOLD Designs in Choerom or purchase from Xstreetsl.
EnCore sent me these unreal earrings called Impossible Cross. I was thrilled and the second I put them on and cammed in, I knew these were something very, very special. Delicate, simple and restrained, I could see immediately how technically skilled the design of these earrings is. I have a feeling, like in many of her pieces, some blood, sweat and tears may have been spilled in bringing them to fruition. I'm waiting for the right outfit to showcase one of her costume jewelery pieces that I know must have been a mare to make.
Look. Just look at that. One cross magically suspended in front of the other. I just love them EnCore and these will become my everyday earrings that Cha wears knowing that they were created with such care and attention.
In my hurry to share these, I'm not sure if EnCore has them up yet but do have a visit to BEHOLD Designs. She does awesome poses too. I'm not sure how busy EnCore is but she would be the one to go to if you wanted to commission some special, bespoke poses. Thank you sweetie for these and for being one of my 12 important women in SL.
