Union Jack-et For The Royal Wedding.

I thought I'd go a bit British in honor of the Royal wedding next week. I have my invitation which is currently under lock and key in my bank's vault. I have the dress, shoes, bag, hat and have booked in my make up artist and hair dresser. Seriously darlings, they are going to have to work hard to un-beautify me if I'm not to stand out like a beacon of gorgeousness and outshine the bride.

A little trip to Yorim's Factory recently found me walking out with this cool Union Jack cardigan. Teamed with the Not Without You Seance pants and Tee*fy Astra wedges, I love the fusion.

These shoes have become a fav of mine and I love how cute they look with the black and parchment colored anklet's from Maitreya which have been the most utilized purchase in my inventory...ever.

All Hail The Maxi.

I've blogged items from the fabulous store Not Without You before as I'm a huge fan of the designer, Cashmere Pye. I purchased this dress a while ago called, wait for it....Zebra and was meaning to share it with you as I wanted to profile a maxi dress.

I love the retro appeal of this one as it reminds me of pictures I saw of my mum in the 1970's wearing something like this. I took a few maxi dresses with me on my world trip in 2009 as their versatility and impact took me from beach to bar. Chalice has accessorized to the max for night time fun but some summer sandals, hair in a loose bun, floppy hat and casual beach bag would be just as cool by the beach. Well until you whip it off and show off your new kini's.

I just wanted to give an honorable mention to Exposeur Poses & Animations. I only fairly recently discovered these poses (god knows why it took me so long) and they are just the best, particularly for photo shoots. The variety is unreal and I just find them so life like with great attention to detail. Hands beautifully positioned and they work so well with clothing. Join the group guys as there's wonderful deals etc to be had.

Head Honcho In My Poncho.

Inspiration, motivation, perspiration. These are the three factors I need to create a blog post and sometimes one or all three desert me. I push on regardless because I do enjoy pressing the 'publish post' tab and sharing my interpretation of different fashion styles. I wish I could offer something more profound on my blog such as opinions on all aspects of SL but I defer to the old saying of 'opinions are like asshole's...everybody has one'. I may not have one of the popular blogs around although I do strive for quality (as much as my talent will allow) and to give our wonderful designers some more coverage.

You can probably tell by the number of SL blogging links I attach to my blog that I love what my colleagues do and support them as much as time will allow. I would like to encourage you all to make an effort to let your favorite blogger know that their efforts in the SL blogging community are appreciated. Just imagine all the leg work you'd have to do if not for the sharing that occurs in the fashion feeds.

That said, let me introduce this look that I created, centered around the fabulous poncho I picked up at LpD. It's fab darlings and the colors are stunningly rich. I love starting to build around one piece and then introducing more and more until I think I'm done. It takes a lot of searching and my clothes go on and off like a pair of strippers knickers but the more thorough the search, the more I can ferret out long forgotten treasures.

Not Without You Cashmere Pye

SL is naughty today because I can't take pictures having constrain proportions enabled. All I get is a black mess when I download. Off to the SL forums to see if I can search for a cure. If you don't avail yourself of the forums you really should. They offer so much valuable information on the mechanics of SL that just a little bit of research has culminated in Viewer 2.2 working like a charm for me.

I always get a buzz when I unearth a new designer, new to me that is, and I found this label recently on one of my expeditions. Not Without You has produced my new favorite top that I'm featuring today. Actually it is a dress with a very well fitting prim skirt attachment but I chose to create the outfit with pants. Cashmere Pye is the designer behind Not Without You and I think she shares my love of bright, sassy pants. I wore her Beauty Box pants a couple of posts back and I just couldn't help heading back for more of her collection.

The top/dress is called Cha Cha Fanny Fae. Seriously, it was meant for me given my SL nickname is Cha Cha. It comes in an array of stunning colors and textures and is so beautiful worn that I'll be bringing this out often. The sleeves are just adorable.

LeLutka have released some new hair and this is Aradia in Blonde Fun. I love the dead straight fringe and silky tresses that have just the right amount of flexi at the ends for realism. The tone Blonde Fun has very natural streaks and highlights.

I'll be showing some more of Cashmere's items in future posts. Check the style card below to see who created this look.

Skin: Lola in Pale by LeLutka
Lips: Lola tattoo lips in Natural Matte by LeLutka
Lashes and eyeliner: Les Make Up by Miamai Fashion Creations

Pants: July Black by Glam Affair
Shoes: Mishima Dawn Suede by Maitreya
Bag: Tesage by Yorim's Factory (Gatcha Machine)
Necklace: Pearls Cross necklace by Noir Lily Jewellery
Bracelets: Adele Bangles by Indyra Originals

My thought for the day. Yes I did find a thought swimming around in there.

I've always wondered why people follow nearly every conversation involving items with 'Got a landmark?' From the day I worked out how to search, I've used it for everything. Now I'm not having a go mind you but it seems people would rather ask someone for it than search themselves. Just think about this lovelies. When you ask for a LM, some poor person has to open inventory, search n rifle through their folders, find it then somehow pass it to you. It happens so much in group chat I find. You mention something then 100 people chime in with 'got the LM?' My opinion: I've found so many amazing things when I search. Not just the place I'm looking for but places and people I didn't know about.

Here endeth the SLesson.
