Lemongrass Class.
I need an inventory clean out like never before and while contemplating this task, I fished around halfheartedly subconsciously looking for an excuse not to do it. I stumbled upon this dress from Stitch by Stitch in the color of lemongrass that I purchased a while ago and forgot about. I adore the color and as usual, the quality and fit were spot on.
Please bear with me while I fluff around finding outfits I had planned to blog but with Christmas/New Year sapping my inspiration, I need to remove my finger and just do it.
Skin and cleavage tattoo layer: Claudia 2 Milky Glow Skin (#1) from LAQ.
Hair: Shirelle in Twilight by Exile.
Eyes: Greenlight by WAP Design.
Dress: Cora Rose in Lemongrass from Stitch by Stitch.
Shoes: Black Ballet Pumps from Beatnik.
Gloves: Diamond Gloves by Cheerno.
Collar: Taken from Bodystructure by BiancaF.
Bracelet: Mysterious by je suis.
Sorry guys...SL stuffed up and wouldn't show up LM's on map otherwise I would have included LM's.

Chalice On A Hot Tin Roof.

One of the most enjoyable things about Chalice's extensive, obscene fashion collection is the freedom to plonk in front of the wardrobe (inventory) trying to create a look brought together from many different designers. The hardest thing about Chalice's extensive, obscene fashion collection is knowing where to look. A skirt from here, a ruffle from there, a hat from god knows where all come together to create an outfit no-one else will be wearing. I love that.
Today I started with the earrings/necklace set I purchased the other day. Facing my clown-a-phobia, I snapped this up because clowns scare the bejeebers out of me and I thought exposure therapy might help. The outfit grew from there and I must say, you could pair this Stitch By Stitch skirt with a hessian sack and you'd still rock the runway.

I took to the roof at the Prefabrica sim for these pics because the view was stunning. I'm sure you'll find lots of photo ops there so do visit to appreciate the amazing work that's gone into it.

I also wanted to wear the new Kalnins Dante heels that had recently been sent by master cobbler Maris Kanto. Again Maris, these are sensational and so, so easy to drive.

Homage to the designers:
Skin: Elle in Make Up 7 in Pale by Belleza.
Hair: Bethany in Swedish by Truth.
Nails: Red by J's.
Eyes: Big Grey Expressive Eyes by Nany Merlin.
Top inc. Shoulder Cuffs and Glitch Pants: From Jenica outfit by Ivalde (Ghost Hunt Gift).
Shirt Ruffle: Taken from Violet Night Lace Over-shirt from Stitch By Stitch.
Skirt: Violet Night Wrap skirt from Stitch By Stitch.
Shoes: Dante Heels from Kalnins.
Earrings/Necklace: Mad Clown by Glow Studio.
Parasol: Created by Seagel Neville.

I'm Old Money I'll Have You Know Kyoot.
Sometimes I just have to have an outfit so bad I click PAY without even bothering to look at the price. This was one of those times. I took myself off to Kyoot Army because I noticed in the feeds they were selling furniture/home ware pieces and went for a sticky. I saw this across the room and went, 'that's mine'...click. Ask me why I love it and I all I can tell you is it's my kind of dress. It's unexpected. It doesn't conform. It tells me a story. The woman who wears this dress is smart, tailored yet is so self assured she mixes colors and styles without a thought of playing it safe. The dress is called New Money but I like to think Chalice is old money. One who doesn't need to impress with the latest trends...one who makes the trends as they go along. Ok I'm in fantasy la la land but it's my SL so I can pretend all I want.
This is a really well made set and I'm so impressed with the skirt. It fits like a glove wearing my skinny hip shape (read skirt shape) and I can't see any stretching or splitting of the material. The hat is a bonus and comes with the dress...I just love this whole look.
I purchased this bag from Stitch by Stitch. I had a little spree in Seven's shop yesterday so will be presenting some more SbyS action soon. I couldn't resist hopping back into my Allure shoes by Maitreya. Skin and hair by LeLutka and jewelery by JCNY.
I had some fun the other day judging a round of Miss Virtual World 2011. Sitting there camming in to see the contestants close up, I was struck by how much work these ladies had put into their appearance. It was mind blowing and all I can say is I would hate to be judging the finalists on the night...way too hard and stressful. From what I have seen, the standard is incredibly high and those of you who made it through to the live auditions deserve a gigantic round of applause because every girl I saw looked utterly amazing. Don't worry about haters...you looked AMAZING.
I took a walk around Alberto (Select Girls Shopping Mall) yesterday. WOW it's huge and I couldn't get over the set up of this sim. To the shop owners, builders/designers and managers of this shopping district, brilliant work.
Until next time, be beautiful inside.

Tik Tok Stella Skin...Recently Released.
I have so enjoyed the evolution of Miah McAuley's skin label, Tik Tok. Her recent release of her new line called Stella is a triumph in my opinion. Miah dropped these on me a little while ago and to be honest, I was struggling for time to get everything I had planned to blog on the blog. Tonight I had a few moments and tried on Stella. I'm so glad I did because I really do love this skin. Available in Light, Medium, Suntan and Dark, I chose to show the Light tone. The make up names are called Cat, Jade, Lady, Nude and Silver as shown below.
They are classy, elegant make ups with soft eyeshadow and glossy lips. I've shown the skins using the cleavage option. I also really like the brow shape on these.
I am wearing this gorgeous little lingerie set called Crystal, a freebie from Noon Twine's shop called Noon.
I recently watched Fabulous Fashion with Angie Mornington. I love Angie's show and was thrilled to watch two episodes featuring Sevenstar Amat from Stitch By Stitch as guest designer and another with Jennaa Loire as guest stylist. I love both these people, not only because they are sweet darlings, but also for their immense contributions to SL fashion and lifestyle. Good on you girls. Do check out their episodes on Fabulous Fashion. Jennaa's appearance on the show led me to check out Fairy Tale jewelery. The ring, earrings and necklace are all group gifts but I would suggest you go over and look for yourself. The detailing of the pieces is stunning.
Last but not least, I'm wearing the Vanity Hair piece in black called Venice and a black hair base from Tiny Bird that allows you to wear it with any skin.
Thank you Miah for again allowing me to blog your amazing skins. I love Stella big time.
After my shoot I jumped in the spa and enjoyed the beauty of my surroundings.

Chalice in Wonderland: Stitch by Stitch Funny Bunny
Sometimes out of the blue, Sevenstar Amat, designer extraordinaire of Stitch by Stitch will send me wonderful treats she has been working on and whatever I'm doing, I can't wait to pop them on. The day she sent me the penis hat I was out shopping and nearly spat my drink across the room when it finally rezzed. I thought it was a Carmen Miranda type hat with banana's atop until the thing became visible. Its the most favorite thing I own but out in the middle of a shopping sim surrounded by people, it felt like a beacon saying 'look at my lovely collection of penis' on my head'. So these days, I grab a quiet corner just in case because Seven's creativity knows no bounds.
What I received this time was the La Boite Bunny Hat. She knows I love hats and this little gem is no exception. As usual, she doesn't stop there. Along came her new release Sammy dress, a profusion of red, black and gray material with polka dots. The outfit can be worn with the cute shorts or prim skirt. Either way, it's a stunner. Her La Boite Message Beads necklace was the perfect accompaniment and once again, I was fashion heaven Stitch by Stitch style.
Please go check out her store. Seven just never stops and just being in her shop is an uplifting experience.
So without further ado, here's Sammy. Click the pics for a larger more detailed view.

Chalice In Wonderland: Stitch by Stitch Miranda Gown
The more I am traveling about looking for photographic opportunities, the more I am appreciating the beauty of SL particularly playing around with windlight settings. I have another Stitch by Stitch treasure tonight, called the Miranda Gown, a stunning gold brocade dress with flower and bead embellishments. The hair accessory is from LeeZu and I've had it for ages. It's one of my favorite things.
Here is the Miranda Gown shot at this amazing sim called Funky Crazy. Just the loveliest place and I've included a photo of a scene on the island. Blogging is certainly giving me more enjoyment than anything else I have done in SL because it's opening up more opportunities to discover the amazingly beautiful work of builders.
Please click on the pics for a bigger image.

Chalice In Wonderland: Stitch by Stitch Red Roma (and I ain't talking tomato)
This just happens to be my favorite from Stitch by Stitch called Red Roma. I have loved it from the moment I purchased it and to me, epitomizes all that is wonderful about this brand. Perfectly constructed, surprises everywhere, vibrant colors and just plain gorgeous. It has a playful sophistication inherent in European fashion. Having coveted Maitreya Gold's Salience heels for so long, I thought Red Roma deserved Salience and vice versa. I love the result.
I took off to the Foul Whisperings Strange Matters sim to take these pics and as usual, had a hoot discovering new places.

Chalice In Wonderland: Stitch by Stitch Coco Dress
Continuing with my week long hug of Stitch by Stitch creations, I bring you the Coco Dress. Wonder who that is named after?
I am having fun styling Seven's designs because they give you carte blanche to be as unconventional as you want to be but still maintain an avant garde fashion look without it looking like a costume.. Of course, I'm known to take things to the nth degree and am not in anyway understated so my look is mostly an eclectic fusion of color and texture loosely following a theme.
I sped over to Rouge to take these photo's because I wanted something richly red but found this cute stage set up so thought my life's a stage so why not photograph myself on one. Hope you enjoy. I like to think that gorgeous diamante 'C' brooch stands for Chalice. Haha.

Chalice In Wonderland: I'd Kill To Wear Stitch By Stitch
Walk through Stitch By Stitch and really take note of the whole package...the theme. It's an amazingly brilliant concept and full of a Second Life of work. Sevenstar Amat is an artist in RL....like of course! Look into the materials and textures and that is blatantly obvious. I bet my boobs that this creator hasn't yet received the kudos she deserves possibly because she is a humble person who let's her art speak for itself. It is my job dear fashion lovers, along with my other blogging colleagues, to showcase items we love and in turn, raise the profile of the designers/creators.
This lady is one person I think deserves mind boggling recognition as she continues to provide us with arty, edgy and impeccably crafted fashion items. This is my week to showcase the work of Sevenstar. Today I'm wearing Cora - Dark Hour and Seven's Forest Love hat. A dark frou frou creation of lace and roses, there is always an interesting twist of an accessory hiding somewhere on her pieces.
Please note: no animal was hurt in the making of this pictorial set...only the chic with the Dark Hour dress met an untimely end as the blood splatter on the camera will atest.

Chalice In Wonderland: I Got The Whole World In My Pants.
I purchased some seriously stunning pants from Glam Affair the other day. I really do love the classic lines reminiscent of film stars of the 40's and I particularly think of Joan Crawford, Greta Garbo and Katherine Hepburn strutting elegantly like they owned the world. I also love the treatment at the waist and sassy bow which give the pants more symmetry.
Imagine the myriad of ways you can dress these pants to create your signature look.

The Owl and The Pussycat - inspired by Stitch by Stitch Owly Skirt
Inspiration comes from anywhere and when I popped on this Owly skirt from Stitch by Stitch kindly given to me a while ago by designer Sevenstar Amat, once again I was blown away by the intricate work and quirky theme of this piece. The owl in the picture above is Seven's artwork seen on the skirt hanging like a Scottish sporran. You've got to love an owl...so beautiful and wise and the idea of the Owl and The Pussycat immediately jumped in my head.
The Owly skirt I have on is in Mud but it looks more like Forest Green hounds tooth material to me. Regardless, the material/texture is wonderful and the belt of the same materiel holds said owly with a gold chain attached to a pear shape ornament and tassel is just what we've come to expect from the sewing room of Stitch by Stitch.
While in my Stitch by Stitch portion of the wardrobe, I found the Elizabeth jumper in Chestnut, a thick woolen vision with puff shoulders atop of cute knitted bows on the sleeves. It was the perfect accompaniment in texture and thickness for the skirt and those cold winter days supping eggnog heavy with brandy. Having fallen deeply in love with these Courtisane La Vivien red boots, there was no contest. On they went too.
I had a lot of fun putting this outfit together. Its quirky and clever and like all of Seven's clothes, reveals a little hidden treasure.
