The Moga Dress By Couverture.

When I spotted this dress called Moga at Chocolate Arashi's amazing shop Couverture, I simply had to have it. So glad Chocolate opted for the more expensive form of her name sake or the shop may have been called Compound. Couverture is so much more delicious. An absolute steal at $80 L's, I didn't realize that the dress could be worn in three different ways until I tried it on. All the more value for money.

I just love the strong color and pattern of the material yet it moves with a wisp of wind giving it a totally feminine quality. As you can see below, the dress can be worn in three different ways...strapless, tank and full sleeved.

Tabata Jewell from Vanity Hair fame is just going from strength to strength with her styles. I love all her new releases and have shown Pin Up, Woopsie and Innocent respectively. I just need to get some money into my SL bank and I'll be returning for the rest of her new releases. They are must have's for my future blogging.  Between Vanity Hair and Maiamai attachments, I am in hirsute heaven.

I highly recommend Couverture to my readers. I couldn't be happier with this dress and her shop is stocked with other fabulous pieces and also delightful home decor items. And as we all know girls, chocolate is oh so good for you.

Welcome To The Fold.

This casual outfit shows off some clever texturing that gives the illusion of delicate folds, both in the pants from L'Abel and top from The Sea Hole.

I'm always attracted to items that have some unusual elements like draping, folds or the appearance of layers and these pieces certainly fit the bill. I'm wearing the new release Edgy Pumps in Black from the House of Fox.

Just look at that simple yet stunning Arrest Me blouse in Honey Weave from The Sea Hole. In my opinion, very classy. As you probably all know by now, LeLutka has just released some new styles and this is Pam in the tone Sweden. While I'm not too fond of the name, the hair is gorgeous and frames the face beautifully. If I can match the hair to one of my many hair bases, I do like to wear off the face hair with said base as I find it softens the sometimes stark lines on the forehead.

I'm sitting on one of my favorite chairs fit for a diva from Shyayn Lusch of Shag fame. This limited edition chair available a while ago for Valentines Day from the Disco Drama room set always makes me smile.

Skin: LAQ
Hair: LeLutka
Hair Base: Miamai

Pants: Bibbi from L'Abel

Shoes: House of Fox Edgy Pumps

Arabian Nights In Bliss Couture

Chalice In Wonderland Blog

Have you taken a walk around Bliss Couture lately? Ms Amutey Decuir pumps out fabulousness at warp speed and I have seriously come to appreciate her amazing contribution to SL fashion. Room upon room, wall upon wall of quality, inspired fashion, delights the senses and it strikes me that one could not produce the volume of creative work if one didn't love what they do. I spied this Merlin Floral dress in the most striking red and being a lover of hibiscus, of which this dress reminds me, I had to have it.

Always trying to take an outfit away from the obvious, I wanted to introduce another color or element to the look and found these snakeskin tights in striking blue.

I then scoured the shops for accessories to match and found this gem of a bag at Armidi Gisaci. Some further snooping unearthed these blue bangles also from Armidi.

I'm imaging Chal as an undercover operative in some exotic location although this is not the outfit I'd wear if I were trying to blend in.

I remembered my Coutisane La Sauvage shoes in Ocean that Vixie Rayna kindly gave me as a present and thought....'perfect'. A little up do from Lamb, red lips from LeLutka and the Rita glasses from Mojoti were all that was needed to complete my look as an undercover spy. Evelyn Salt meet Chalice Carling.

Maitreya Or Bust?? Well Here's Both.

I've died and gone to heaven. It was love at first sight and not even a dwindling bank balance could keep me away from a fat pack.

Onyx has done it AGAIN with the new release of Aequus. These newest stars in the Maitreya Gold range are simply stunning and worth every last cent of $7,900L for 15 color options. Stylish is the order of the day and like the Allure range, feature a zip at the heel. Unlike Allure, these are quite simple where the stunning prim foot get's to shine. With a clever ankle wrap under the straps, the SL foot has NEVER, EVER been as beautiful.

Please excuse my, shall we say, minimalist styling for this post. I just didn't want to take anything away from my second favorite shoe in SL. My first being Salience also from Maitreya Gold.

Between LeLutka's Eclat Skin and Maitreya's heels, I'm loving myself sick.  Earrings by Shag btw.

P.S. If you see me scrounging for scraps along with the seagulls, throw me a chip will you? Be back soon with some more SL treasures.

Orange Krush With A Dose Of Flu

Pass me the tissues and rub my chest with vapor rub (insert brand name common to your country), I'm sick. Too sick to go to work and not wishing to share my germs with everyone, I stayed in bed and woke at 12pm.

Anyway (sniff, sniff) I thought I'd get up for a bit and post these pics I took yesterday. I picked this little orange treasure up from the Glam Affair 10L sale. I thought this would make me stand out on the dance floor and partial to anything orange, I snapped it up. The beautiful Shyayn Lusch, Miss "Shag" herself and the creator of The Digital Doll blog, sent me copies of her new Stoned Love Crystal Jewelery Sets. Absolutely brilliant they are. Not only is there a color to match every outfit, the pieces fit like a glove. There's a choice of big and giant earrings and necklace with matching ring. If you haven't been to her shop Shag, you absolutely must. You haven't decorated until you do.

To me, this outfit has a certain kitschy appeal that I'm rather partial to and if I was a roller derby babe, this is the outfit I'd wear.  My performance name would be "The Orange Krush".

These pis were taken at a gorgeous sim called Heaven's Lake. Unfortunately I didn't have time to explore and basically these were taken close to the landing spot but I encourage you to take a look. It was lovely and with your WL magic, could produce some stunning photo's.

Chalice In Wonderland: GLAM AFFAIR - Fresh And Fabulous

I admit I don't need much of an excuse to go check out new things in SL and this evening was no exception.  Having been sent the new Leona skins from Ms Aida Ewing of Glam Affair, I hopped on the hover-bike and headed over for a first hand look.  To say I was impressed is an understatement of mammoth proportions.  It is beautiful.  Soft sandstone, lots of glass, nooks for resting and admiring your purchases, Glam Affair is a class act.  It's sprawling but easy to navigate due to the court yard style build.

Inside it just get's better.  Lots of room to wander and it has a flow through feel walking into each section.  Clothes, lingerie, skins and so much more unfold as you walk the rooms.  Aida I take my hat off to you for creating a superb place to shop, meet friends and hang out.  It has an indoor/outdoor bar/cafe area that is so realistic I think I've seen it in RL.

Here are just a few snappies of Glam Affair with me in of course.  I'm like a kid with a karaoke mike when it comes to taking pics in SL...I never give it up.  Get there as soon as you can.  I'm sure you'll love it too.

Chalice In Wonderland: My New Coat And Nuts To You

I just brought a coat by a designer called Nuts Andel from the store enchanty.  I'm absolutely thrilled with the coat but knowing someone made it who goes by the name Nuts makes me love it even more.  I wish I'd chosen Nuts as my SL name...Nuts Carling.  hmmmm I like.  Anyway I've been in SL so long now I've forgotten why I chose Chalice as a name only to say I like the way it sounds.  I knda like being a cup that holds wine which just happens to be one of my favorite drinks.  Anyway I digress.

enchanty (no capitals please) is a little boutique on Japan Fancy Island and also in the Creator's Pavilion that doesn't stock much but what is in there I've found to be of excellent quality.  My ivory colored coat is so well made and doesn't poke out here and there as you move.  When designers get this right, I have confidence to purchase more from then which I did.  A gorgeously sweet soft  lemon skirt and an amazing pair of thigh tights with textured prim lower leg folds.  Scrummy in white but equally adorable in black, pink, brown and gray.  I was trying to create a soft, cuddly, organic look for those days when you want winter dressing to be stylish but not trussed up like an Eskimo.. I have about 5 inches of exposed skin...I think I can manage that in the name of fashion.  I found my Kalnin's Snowdrift shoes and changed the color via the hud.  Me loves these babies :-)  Yay to Kalnin's.

Anyhoo this is my tribute to Nuts from enchanty just to say...I like your stuff.  You simply nailed this coat.

Oh I also had fun at Shag buying some new hair. This is my first visit to Shag and I found it Shag-a-licious for this picky hair buyer.  The Cherry Pie hair I'm wearing is as elegant and stylish as any hair I've found in SL.  Bravo Mr Shag (aka Sebastien Aries).  Nice of him to provide a little bar upstairs for the weary and spent....this is where I took my snaps.

Chalice is training for the Navy Seals between fashion shoots.

Where did you get it???
