Suddenly Single With Red Lips.

There's something quite powerful about a strong color accent placed strategically about the body.  I love the vivid red that lifts the grey to dramatic effect.  I scoured the grid for the right tights and finally settled on 'A3' Grey from 'Sheer' Stockings.  A great shop find that was.

I had a fun shopping trip to Mon Tissu at the Mayfair Sim and couldn't resist the 'Softest Cinch Cardigan' in grey and the 'Westbury Mini' in light grey.  Great combo together and I wasn't at all disappointed in the fit of both pieces. What you don't quite see (stupid me) is the clipped in waist at the back of the back tied with a fabulous knitted blow. Take a look at the amazing pockets and sleeve edging...magnifique.

How beautiful are these 'MANA Era Gator Peep Toe' shoes in fiery red from Nardcotix?  Are these not class personified?  The delicate gold super fine spiked heel could do serious damage in the wrong hands - think 'Single White Female' and like all things Nardcotix, have a fool proof menu to make your tootsies look their best.

As far as accessorizing goes, my favorite part of creating a look, I couldn't wait to bring out my recently purchased Tres Blah 'Haute' bag that has the most amazing woven material resembling jute.  The 'Lellani' corsage is from LaGyo, the necklace is 'Prayer Pearl' from Beatnick and earrings from Je Suis.

The Look:

Hair: 'Soft' Blonde 4 by elikitira
Skin: 'Linn' Light by Glam Affair

Jacket: 'Softest Cinch Cardigan' in grey by Mon Tissu
Skirt: 'Westbury' Mini in light grey from Mon Tissu
Flower: 'Lellaini' Corsage (color change) by LaGyo
Location: Little Britain  (great for a monochrome background)

She's Got The Celoe Factor!

Hi there...it's been a while. They say what doesn't kill us makes us stronger and this has been sorely tested in my own life during the last month. Within one day I found myself suddenly single, never saw it coming whatsoever and had a husband who has gone to hide two states away and as he ran out the door, claimed 'he couldn't handle anything anymore' leaving me to deal with all our financial matters. Today, only one month after he bolted, I can finally say 'what a bloody idiot to leave the best thing that has and will ever happen to you...ME'. They'll be many more tears, self blame and doubt but I am my parents daughter and I will never define myself by the whims and expectations of another. I don't wish ill of you but at the same time you have earned yourself a huge spiritual debt for your actions and weak mindedness which only you can repay.. I was the best wife I knew how to be and if that wasn't good enough for you, then best of British luck finding another who loved you warts and all as I did.

If you haven't had the pleasure of a trip to Celoe at Mayfair, take a look at what you're missing.  Some classy mesh tailoring complete with layers and folds in all the right places.  As with any fine boutique, custom fitting is available with the jacket and pants available in a range of sizes for the perfect fit.  Designer Shay Sibrian certainly has an eye for detail.

The items from Celoe shown are the Rossi Jacket complete with leather belt in the color 'Thatch", the Lolong Trousers in "Cement" and the amazing Sack Bag in "Roman".  The appeal for me is the earthiness of color and mixture of fabrics.  Mayfair is the first mesh sim in SL which is wonderful, but for my ailing computer I did struggle somewhat getting things to rezz quickly and I was often stuck in lag bubbles.  I do need a new computer however...this one is tired and needing to be retired so for those of you running good lappies and PC's, this shouldn't be a problem.

I believe Celoe has something for everyone and I can't wait to see what awaits us in the future.  Once picking the correct size for my shape, everything just worked.  I didn't realize that in order for my feet not to poke through the bottom of the pants, that I needed to wear shoes with an alpha layer and that fixed the problem entirely..  Maybe there are other solutions that I don't know about but this worked for me.

In SL I still find joy in discovering a new label that I fall in love with.  Then again, it's no different to my RL.  I shop well in both.

T--art From Boho Hobo.

These T's incorporate real life art from Trill Zapatero from Boho Hobo.  They are fabulous mesh and come in 3 sizes for the perfect fit.  Priced at a mere $85L's and even better, one of the T's will be on sale for $55L's.  How can you possibly go wrong with these striking pieces of art created in real life?  That makes them even more special.  Folds, creases and drapes are wonderful.

Take it from Auntie Cha.  These are a wardrobe stable.

Catching Dreams With My Bizarre Hair.

According to the Native American Ojibway (Chippewa) tribe, dreams that humans have while asleep are sent by sacred spirits as messages.  According to their legend, in the middle of the Dream Catcher is a hole.  Good dreams are permitted to reach the sleeper through the hole in the web and bad dreams are trapped in the web only to disappear at dawn with the first light.  Usually hung over a child whilst sleeping, the Dream Catcher has become a popular object around the world.

MyStiCa Matova of Bizarre Hair has incorporated the charming Dream Catcher into a stunning style of the same name.  Shown here in Dirty Blonde, I just love the extra's in this hair pack.  The Dream Catcher can be attached at the front and back and comes with earrings and necklace (not shown here) included.  The little feathers, almost pale blue looking to me, are just perfect and the height of the hair allows enough room for the Dream Catcher's to show off their full effect.  Way to go MyStiCa.  Your eye for the dramatic makes these styles so perfect for models in both runway and photo shoots and of course, for bloggers wanting the unique..

Now on to my gorgeous dress.  This is another stunner from Aleida picked up from my shopping spree last week.  Its called "Wippy's Choice" (my choice too Wippy) and the lace work is exquisite.  With lovely bell sleeves, cummerbund with a spray of black flowers at the waist and plunging neckline edged with scalloped lace, its the LBD that will take you anywhere, but most likely to bed.

Somehow my hand slipped on the TP button and I ended up back at Similar Footwear AGAIN so I thought I'd grab another pair of heels...you know, since I was there and all.  This pair is called 'Poison' and at the front, they are held together with the daintiest of chain links with an option of silver or gold or even laces for a heavier look.  ME LOVES.  The ladies from Similar (Larisa Tylman and Simone Bonham - I think) have an amazing notecard that comes with the shoes explaining how best to match up your skin.  Stupid me only referred to it with this new purchase and I would have saved myself so much time if I'd just followed it in the first place.  I won't give it away because its their property and should be explained only when you purchase their shoes but I found it super easy.  I know some of you have an astute eye when it comes to skin tone matching but I am definitely challenged in this area...been in SL since 2007 and I still click aimlessly on the color palate or get my RGB all wrong..

With the Aleida dress, Bizarre Hair, Similar shoes, Glam Affair skin and my ultimate fave Label Mode bag, if I looked like this in RL, my Dream Catcher would be working overtime.

Do you know darlings, if SL profile search worked efficiently instead of taking forever to open, I'd be able to blog twice as fast.  I spend more time putting LM's on my blog than collectively taking pics and writing it up.

Chalice wishes you all a happy day and again, if you have any LM's to share of smart looking runway's, please share them in-world.  No-one responded last time and I feel a bit emo  :-(

Bathed In Black.

What I most enjoy about fashion is the fact that rules are made to be broken.  Like wearing a vintage style bathing cap with a formal gown.  How can you not feel fabulous strutting your stuff with all eyes turned in your direction in awe of your chutzpah.  I found this layered black number in Aleida called 'Perry Frilled Temptation' and I love the aesthetic of the expanding layers.  I hitched the skirt up a bit to show case the lofty 'Pretender' heels in Lime from Ladies Who Lunch.  It was then I spied the 'Couture Bathing Cap' and thought "Chalice you must cross pollinate Ladies Who Lunch with Aleida" to create this look.

I so love the cap with a gazillion bows and the vividness of the green is ever so beautiful and reminds me of a well manicured lawn.  I also popped into Miamai for some 'Rainbow Warriors Green' lashes and added la vie eye liner tattoo in Pistachio from Label Mode for even more green drama.

Don't you just love the heights we can reach in styling something unique from the many talented designers in world?  Who ever said SL is fashionably dead?  The uninspired that's who!.

Some Kind Of Bliss.

I remember when Amutey DeCuir was being interviewed on the Frolic Mills Show years ago and she struck me as a passionate, fun and charming person who certainly knew her stuff when it came to designing in SL.  Who hasn't graced the imposing entrance of Bliss Couture?  I for one recall racing over there straight after the show and fawned upon room after room of truly inspirational fashion and accessories.  My inventory once again needs to be spring cleaned because how could I have overlooked this fabulous dress I purchased a little while ago?  Styling inspiration came easy but color matching was a little more challenging.

Here I give you Bliss Couture's 'Sarahjane' dress in 'Sky'.  A delight to photograph and even more of a delight to wear.

Now this dress deserved something special to compliment the stunning depth of color and I thought the 'Miss Ocean' hat from BaObA would be just the thing.  Seriously if you haven't yet had the BaObA experience, go there now and marvel at the millinery of Petalos Clary.  I've always loved LoQ's 'Apple Pie' hair and didn't want to wear anything else for this outfit.  Fortunately for me it was modifiable.  I had it in my mind to shorten the length and used a transparent texture and edit linked in edit mode.  I love the way it came out.

Some 'Mermaid' earrings in 'Sky' from Label Mode was the only jewelery I felt necessary and added two lots of peacock tattoo shadow (see below) for extra intensity.  I wore Jardis V2 skin from Glam Affair and my much loved freckle tattoo from Glance Skins 'Daphne' range in addition to creating a new shape.

It's no secret I'm a Similar Footwear fan and just adore these 'Ravenna' heels in 'Cyan'.  I don't think we've ever been more spoiled for choice with the range of quality footwear available throughout SL.  I'm wearing 'Criminal Tights' from Nemesis.  My god they do brilliant tights.  Oh and go check out the new range of Utopia eyes from Ikon (formally Fashism).  Designer Ikon Innovia is the Prince of Peepers.

If anyone has any land marks to great looking runway's that I could use for some pics, could you send me the LM's in-world?  Only if I'm allowed to use it mind...don't want to drop smack bang in the middle of some runway show and have my sorry ass ejected before my fabulousness even rezzes...lol

Fashion Limited - Your Chance For Uniqueness

I love dropping into Fashion Limited to peruse what wonderful things various designers have made for us - but not for all of us, only for the first 50 shoppers.  What does that mean for us?  Well it means that you won't be bumping into people wearing the same outfit all over the grid.  Now that has to be a great thing.

I purchased the 'Deb' outfit comprising of pants, top, under top, and belt made by LpD (that's Les Petits Details for the uninitiated).  Cost only $100L and I love its sweet simplicity.

I'm wearing mega long hair called 'Moments' that comes with the cool hat with spiral details at the front from Bizarre Hair.  Thanks Mystica darling.  The braiding at the back is stunning.

Another pick up from Fashion Limited are these red unisex 'Doom Boots' from sYs.  Oh god the detail on them is amazing and again, only 50 on sale. At only $240L, there are only 45 pairs left so hurry.

I mentioned the blogger gifts sent by Amarelo Manga the other day.  This set (earrings and necklace) is called 'Durban' and can be changed to gold or silver metals.  I love the fine design and say....go forth and Amarelo Manga yourselves till it hurts.

Here is the list for my look and until next time, be kind to each other :-)

Skin: Bella (Pale Skin) by Redgrave
Eyes: Utopia Pale Grey/Blue from Ikon
Outfit: Deb from LpD at Fashion Limited
Shoes: Doom Boots from sYs at Fashion Limited

SAS 'n' Bizzare.

Welcome to Chalice In Wonderland, the little blog that battles along trying to give the people who actually make this world so amazing a little leg up. I sometimes think we get so caught up blabbering shit, worrying about unimportant things and wasting time with in-genuine tool bags that it detracts from the beauty that is in every direction.  Come on darlings...keep making, keep seeing and keep feeling the beauty.

Here is a little SAS action in the most divine Purrrrr-ty pink.  Sascha Frangilli kindly sent me the fat pack of Purr and I opted to use only back as the accent color.

Here I'm showing the Empress style skirt but you know Sascha, she supplies so many other options that each dress transforms into something else with the click of a button.

The hair is another blockbuster kick ass style from Bizarra called 'Pollish' and even has it's own cute pair of black stiletto's sitting atop of the bun

Thanks for the lovely dress Sascha.  It's purr-fect for the most discerning pussies in town.

Just You And Your Hand Tonight.

When I walked in {.essenses.} the other day, I was magnetically drawn to the mesh Quilla dress in glorious burnt orange with Aztec inspired trim.  I put it in the wardrobe waiting for my chance to style a look when time permitted.

The dress comes with a shape; however, wishing to keep my face, I modified my own shape to fit the mesh dress and it was no hassle at all.  I love it darlings and I urge you to take a trip to {.essenses.}if you're looking for something different.

My heroine hairdresser, MyStiCa Matova from Bizarre Hair shared her collection with me and I proudly and unashamedly will be profiling it at every opportunity, such is the divine quality and reasonable cost for perfection.  This one is fittingly called 'DIVA'.  Well if the hair fits and all....

I found these killer clunker heels at Azoury.  They're more like boots with the burnt orange base and black knitted uppers.  Exotically called 'Les Talons Ixia', they add verve to the outfit, don't you think?

The superb bracelet, earrings and necklace are called 'Luanda' and was a blogger review gift from Amarelo Manga.  Thank you to  Luana Barzane and arturcosta Akina for the thoughtful blogger review package.  Everything in it is fantastic.

As to the meaning of my blog title, well its St V's day tomorrow and Cha has no manz to share it with in SL so bugger you all....(insert cackling maniacal laugh here).

To all involved in this look, you rock my world.

BoHo HoBo Jean Jacket

How about this jean jacket from BoHo HoBo gals?  Trill Zapatero sent it to me a little while ago and I finally got around to unpacking the box to find this awesome jacket that is perfect in every way.  I wasn't feeling inclined to just wack on the obvious pair of jeans so did some hunting to seek out something playful.

I found these booty shorts at (K)Rea! and from the rear, they're very cheeky.

The details on the back of the jacket is nothing less than you what get with BoHo HoBo pieces...interesting, unexpected and quirky.

Anyway kiddies, I'm off for lunch with the girls and yes, that big machine next to me will be throbbing away between my thighs in a blink of an eye.  Now I'm gonna shut up and drive :-)

Bizarre Hair Affair - Part 3

'Ello Ladies and Germs.  Here is the last post in my Bizarre Hair trilogy and I can tell you I've had a blast styling a look to compliment each do.  Shown here is 'Retro' and the hair wisps, hair band, earrings and a necklace (not shown) accompany it. I hope you all get behind this designer and her fabulous hair because I consider myself a bit of a hair aficionado, and this is GREAT-A-LICIOUS.

Now look at my dress dear fashion freaks and take in the subtle details of the material, cut and edging.  I found this at Sur+ called 'Vojeto'. I just love this dress.  I also loving my new purchase Elephant Bag from Tokidoki.

Bizarre Hair Affair - Part 2

I simply can't tell you how much I love Bizarre Hair and all the special accessories that come with it.  Today I'm showing you CoCooN in Dirty Blonde.  The stunning tiara, necklace and bracelets are made by Maylo Dagostino from Maylo Designs Jewelery.  If you purchase the CoCooN fatpack from Bizarre, you will receive the tiara with the hair, however, you can purchase the necklace and bangles from Maylo Designs Jewelery.   Man it's all entirely fabulous believe me.

The hair wisp is also available as an option and just adds to the overall look of the do.  Mystica Matova has created the most amazing realistic hair texture and with hair being my weakness, I'm utterly thrilled.

When I tried on CoCooN, I immediately thought traditional bride with nontraditional accessories and found this great bridal dress from the Platinum Hunt of 2011 by Mocha.  Thank you to Flexagons Villota for creating such a great gown.

Bizarre Hair Affair - Part 1.

WOW I got lucky the day Mz MyStiCa Matova sent me a friendly IM asking if I would be interested in blogging her hair label, Bizarre.  Ignorant me knew of it, but hadn't taken the time to go look.  I responded saying I'd love to have a go and MyStiCa sent me over three do's.

The first I'm showing you is Pearl in the Bizarre Classics Collection available in 8 fabulous colors.  You receive the hair base, a bun attachment, wispy hair attachment, hair pearls, necklace and earrings and let me tell you, I LOVE this hair to bits.

I'm wearing the Dirty Blond color and I just adore the luster and highlights in the hair and the way its pulled back in sections.  If the hair isn't amazing enough on its own, the jewelery is excellently constructed and compliments the style brilliantly.

A view from the back is equally pleasing and I'm just so happy that Mz Matova contacted me or else it may have taken me longer to discover this unreal hair designer.  She sure has flair with hair.

I'll post my other two styles as soon as possible.

Skin: Jadis 11 from Glam Affair
Hair: Pearl from the Classics Collection - Bizarre Hair.
Earrings and Necklace: From Pearl hair - Bizarre Hair.
Eyes: Sunrise Eyes in Pale Blue from Fashism.
Nails: From Mandala.
Dress: Lucille Pleated Silk Gown from Barebones (mesh).
