Apple May Designs Night Night Sweetheart Sleepwear

Don't  do it girls.  Don't go to bed without removing ALL of you makeup.  Not like Chalice here who is lazy and flops into bed with her teddy after a hard night of partying.

This blogger sample back was in my inventory when I logged and when I saw them I thought of my beautiful bed.  The nightie and slippers also come in a soft blue color.  Great for the slumber party when only the girls, champagne and a good movie will do.  Teddy was also in the parcel cause every girls needs one.

These are from Apple May Designs Night Nigh Sweetheart range.  So hop in now for the most gorgeous mesh jim jams on the grid.

Could I be more behind in my blogging?  NO.  Goodness knows when Sasha Frangelli popped this is my post box but better late than never I say.

Fifty Shades Of Grey...Shut That Book And Listen.

Am I the only one in the universe who hasn't read these yet?  When I was in hospital not so long back, all the patients were swapping around the book parts it resembled a library.  Regardless, I've stolen the name for my post title thanks to Ms. E. L. James. I love this little number I pulled together predominately from one of my favorite stores, mon tissu.

When I purchased the pleated skirt, gathered frill blouse and superb wool blend jacket, I wasn't sure how they would look together but  need not have worried because mon tissu just gets it RIGHT.  I mean look at the assembly of the woolen jacket with the pinched waist, over sized belt and perfect folds resting on the hips.  The cute shoes are also from mon tissu called Cottage Flats.

Look at that lovely shirt frill and flower decoration on the lapel called French Pouf.  What I loved most however, was the Traveler Bag also from mon tissu that has the most amazing detail  on it.   It's just so RIGHT.  Designer Elle Spot has certainly mastered quality fashion and perfectly engineered clothing pieces and I swear you have to go if you haven't already, although I can't imagine anyone who hasn't had the pleasure..

And I'd like to introduce my parrot called "Youidiot".  He does have a bit of trouble locating his stand and here he's contemplating a dip in the pool.  This is my new home called Modern One from Pre-Fabulous.  Just another in my massive home collection.  I love it guys and can't wait to see more in the future.

Hair:  Inverted in Marilyn tone by LeLutka
Skin:  Linn in Light tone by Glam Affair
Nails: Prim nails from Pixel Mode
Jacket: Wool Blend Jacket in Grey from mon tissu
Skirt: Highland skirt in Grey from mon tissu
Shirt: Gathered Frills Blouse in Grey from mon tissu
Shoes: Cottage Flats in Grey from mon tissu
Bag: Traveler Bag in Grey from mon tissu

Yes I'm wearing the same designer but I still combined separates to form a great, classic outfit but with a modern touch.

Remember Me? No! Don't Answer That.

Oh my wordy yes it's been like forever since my last post.  Life has spun 180 and everything is different.  I upgraded computer's and haven't yet been able to workout how to download Photoshop CS5 to my Windows 7.  I'm doing something wrong and I just can't work it out...YET.

Anyway I do have Paint Shop Pro x2 and while I love my Photoshop, it will have to do until I work this thing out.

Here I am in simply my favorite hat in SL, the Cristianna from Donna Flora sitting atop my new 148 hair from W&Y.

I adore this "Sweet Celeste" dress from Boudoir.  The flower filled skit of soft pinks and beige tones just ripples with every move and the beige corset has lots of lovely detail making it so realistic.  The "Pony Girl" boots are also a from Boudoir.  I find Nemisis tights just the best as they are so well textured and you don't have unsightly seams and mismatching.  I also vote the 'mery'' gloves from celoe the best on the grid.

Yes it's that time of year again when all the kitty cat claws come out to play on "Agency Report" commenting on Miss Virtual World.  One has to ask is it really all worth it to chase a dream that isn't even real.  Oh well, each to their own.

"Well, you know what they say: if you don't have anything nice to say about anybody, come sit by me! ".

Praying The Seams Hold.

I once wore a dress so tight and short a few years ago that I literally couldn't sit down, which was a terrible shame because my shoes were killing me. I knew before I walked out the door, I'd regret it no matter how fantastic I thought I looked. I spent most of the night worrying about whether I was flashing my crotch to the crowd and praying the seams didn't explode in the middle of the club.  It was at that point in my life that I promised myself if ya can't sit in it, ya don't wear it.

That aside, Chalice never has to worry about such things and this slip of a dress from Alaskametro called 'Milla' in Pebble Beige was something I put away in the closet to blog some day.  Its simply cut but the lace and color sets it apart from other little dresses and great for clubbing the night away.  It has a traditional elegance but with oodles of sex appeal.

Styling this look was also an opportunity to show you the new 'Daisy' hair from LeLutka with roots in the 'Marilyn' tone.  Loose, casual and perfect for unabashed freedom on the dance floor, I really love this style.

Worn with Kalnin's amazing 'Scarlett' footwear and a little clutch from Baiastice, this simple yet eye-catching look is something you can easily throw on after work when you and your buddies are up for some drinks and dancing.  I was told this evening that Kalnins Footwear no longer exist in SL or may have been sold to an outlet.  If anyone finds a LM for Kalnin's shoes, please share with me.

This dress does need to come with a warning though, 'Please don't pick a loose thread' or you could be in BIG trouble.

Here I'm using a new photo studio that I purchased from pose store PNP Megastore.  I came across this when PNP sent out some free background texture packs and I was intrigued to know exactly what they were for.  I strolled through the huge store and found the PNP Photo Studio V3 that comes with pose stand and texture hud whereby you can add more textures and poses to both via edit.  What I like about this studio is the size of it.  Very wide and high so you can pull back without loosing the picture.  It also comes with a control module to remove/show the pose stand and move your avatar by using the arrows to place yourself in different positions.  Easy as pie.  I think this is great for people who like to shoot backgrounds in world using a variety of wind-light settings.  You can then add them to the background hud and have the control to concentrate on lighting your avatar on your own land without interruption from visitors etc.  Also PNP have a huge variety of backgrounds for sale to add to the hud if that's what you'd prefer.  I do love shooting at different locations but when using some of the wind-light settings, while making magic with the landscape, can turn my avatar into the ugliest thing imaginable.  Drop in the store and have a play with it.  You'll find a mass of poses and other photographic items.

Remember The Old Days.....

Do you ever wish you could go back to your early days in SL when discovery was the name of the game?  When every time you logged on, your learning curve was steep and it was exciting, fresh and new.  I often think of my first year and how I seemed to be continually in awe of something and thrilled when I learned a new trick.  I still love SL (obviously because I'm still part of the family) but just like life, I've fallen into familiar patterns and routines and have stopped seeking out new adventures, other than styling for my blog.  Unfortunately those hilarious, confusing and innocent days have gone forever.  I'm an old hand now and will never see SL again in all its wonder as I did in that first year.  But I will say, the fashion has never been better.

So on with my look...

I'm sorry but I had to bring out my Celoe 'Lo Long Trousers' in Cement out for a second airing as I love them so much.  I undertook a massive inventory clean out...and I mean MASSIVE.  I found this lovely soft, floral shirt from Label Mode called 'Blair' in the color Sandy.  I wondered how they would look together and I'm happy with the result.

Some elements of vintage really worn with my new elikatira hair called 'Locked' in Blond. I remembered my pashmina belt in beige by Veschi and added this for some extra flair.  Unfortunately I looked and looked and couldn't find the LM to Alla Ruff's store.

I am in serious love with Cheer No's Kamala wicker bag range and this one in FAKE 'snake' makes me very happy.

And speaking of cheers, I give three of them to Label Mode's lovely Blair shirt.  Its impeccably constructed..

Bliss A-ddress.

Not all LBD's have to be clingy, flesh-baring little number's.  I found this edgy version with sculpted shoulders at Bliss Couture one day and loved the lines.  Called 'Zerbino', the material appears to be a heavy self-patterned, shuttle woven brocade.

Next thing I receive another of  MyStiCa Matova's new releases from Bizzare Hair and that was enough reason to style me up a storm using various hues of yellow and jet black as my theme..  The hair called 'QT' is a quirky little up do with wisp attachments that is essentially lots of little knots tied with ribbon...soooo cute.

I think one of the thrills of styling for my blog is starting off with one or two pieces and then off I go shopping, putting it together in my mind as I go.  The pants are Dade Slacks in Gold (mesh) from Celoe.  Loving those folds on the lower legs.

Another trip to LaGyo introduced me to the fabulous wicker bag, 'Lameus Pom' headdress, gold 'Fizz' earrings and the 'Be Careful' ring.  I do tend to go off in LaGyo.  The lovely necklace is called 'Respect' from Nemesis and my shoes are called 'Pietrasanta' from Similar Footwear.

Chantkari's In The Dressing Room

Took a flying visit to The Dressing Room Blue yesterday and looked no further than this vibrant dress from Chantkari for a steal at $70L.

Having just purchased the 'Night Coffee' hair on sale from Vanity Hair, I couldn't go past crazy locks with colorful boho style.

Take a look a these fabulous suede gloves from Celoe in 'Rust'.  The earrings, array of bangles and necklace are amazing jewelery pieces from Maylo Designs.  One of the favorite bags I own is the 'Old Batik Indi'  from Baiastice that I bring out at every opportunity.

Overall, I love my zany take on the Chantkare 'Maje' dress finishing off with my blue leggings from Tee*fy and my Pascal Sock shoes from Leverocci.   I'm wearing Linn Skin from Glam Affair with a freckle tattoo from the Daphne Skin range at Glance (designer Ava Grau - no LM available for some reason)..

Suddenly Single With Red Lips.

There's something quite powerful about a strong color accent placed strategically about the body.  I love the vivid red that lifts the grey to dramatic effect.  I scoured the grid for the right tights and finally settled on 'A3' Grey from 'Sheer' Stockings.  A great shop find that was.

I had a fun shopping trip to Mon Tissu at the Mayfair Sim and couldn't resist the 'Softest Cinch Cardigan' in grey and the 'Westbury Mini' in light grey.  Great combo together and I wasn't at all disappointed in the fit of both pieces. What you don't quite see (stupid me) is the clipped in waist at the back of the back tied with a fabulous knitted blow. Take a look at the amazing pockets and sleeve edging...magnifique.

How beautiful are these 'MANA Era Gator Peep Toe' shoes in fiery red from Nardcotix?  Are these not class personified?  The delicate gold super fine spiked heel could do serious damage in the wrong hands - think 'Single White Female' and like all things Nardcotix, have a fool proof menu to make your tootsies look their best.

As far as accessorizing goes, my favorite part of creating a look, I couldn't wait to bring out my recently purchased Tres Blah 'Haute' bag that has the most amazing woven material resembling jute.  The 'Lellani' corsage is from LaGyo, the necklace is 'Prayer Pearl' from Beatnick and earrings from Je Suis.

The Look:

Hair: 'Soft' Blonde 4 by elikitira
Skin: 'Linn' Light by Glam Affair
Freckles: Full Body Freckle Tattoo from Miamai X- Gen Makeup
Eyes: 'Sunrise' eyes in pale grey by IKON

Bag: 'Haute' bag by Tres Blah
Necklace: 'Prayer Pearl by Beatnick
Earrings: 'Asymetrique' in red from Je Juis
Jacket: 'Softest Cinch Cardigan' in grey by Mon Tissu
Skirt: 'Westbury' Mini in light grey from Mon Tissu
Flower: 'Lellaini' Corsage (color change) by LaGyo
Location: Little Britain  (great for a monochrome background)

She's Got The Celoe Factor!

Hi there...it's been a while. They say what doesn't kill us makes us stronger and this has been sorely tested in my own life during the last month. Within one day I found myself suddenly single, never saw it coming whatsoever and had a husband who has gone to hide two states away and as he ran out the door, claimed 'he couldn't handle anything anymore' leaving me to deal with all our financial matters. Today, only one month after he bolted, I can finally say 'what a bloody idiot to leave the best thing that has and will ever happen to you...ME'. They'll be many more tears, self blame and doubt but I am my parents daughter and I will never define myself by the whims and expectations of another. I don't wish ill of you but at the same time you have earned yourself a huge spiritual debt for your actions and weak mindedness which only you can repay.. I was the best wife I knew how to be and if that wasn't good enough for you, then best of British luck finding another who loved you warts and all as I did.

If you haven't had the pleasure of a trip to Celoe at Mayfair, take a look at what you're missing.  Some classy mesh tailoring complete with layers and folds in all the right places.  As with any fine boutique, custom fitting is available with the jacket and pants available in a range of sizes for the perfect fit.  Designer Shay Sibrian certainly has an eye for detail.

The items from Celoe shown are the Rossi Jacket complete with leather belt in the color 'Thatch", the Lolong Trousers in "Cement" and the amazing Sack Bag in "Roman".  The appeal for me is the earthiness of color and mixture of fabrics.  Mayfair is the first mesh sim in SL which is wonderful, but for my ailing computer I did struggle somewhat getting things to rezz quickly and I was often stuck in lag bubbles.  I do need a new computer however...this one is tired and needing to be retired so for those of you running good lappies and PC's, this shouldn't be a problem.

I believe Celoe has something for everyone and I can't wait to see what awaits us in the future.  Once picking the correct size for my shape, everything just worked.  I didn't realize that in order for my feet not to poke through the bottom of the pants, that I needed to wear shoes with an alpha layer and that fixed the problem entirely..  Maybe there are other solutions that I don't know about but this worked for me.

In SL I still find joy in discovering a new label that I fall in love with.  Then again, it's no different to my RL.  I shop well in both.

T--art From Boho Hobo.

These T's incorporate real life art from Trill Zapatero from Boho Hobo.  They are fabulous mesh and come in 3 sizes for the perfect fit.  Priced at a mere $85L's and even better, one of the T's will be on sale for $55L's.  How can you possibly go wrong with these striking pieces of art created in real life?  That makes them even more special.  Folds, creases and drapes are wonderful.

Catching Dreams With My Bizarre Hair.

According to the Native American Ojibway (Chippewa) tribe, dreams that humans have while asleep are sent by sacred spirits as messages.  According to their legend, in the middle of the Dream Catcher is a hole.  Good dreams are permitted to reach the sleeper through the hole in the web and bad dreams are trapped in the web only to disappear at dawn with the first light.  Usually hung over a child whilst sleeping, the Dream Catcher has become a popular object around the world.

MyStiCa Matova of Bizarre Hair has incorporated the charming Dream Catcher into a stunning style of the same name.  Shown here in Dirty Blonde, I just love the extra's in this hair pack.  The Dream Catcher can be attached at the front and back and comes with earrings and necklace (not shown here) included.  The little feathers, almost pale blue looking to me, are just perfect and the height of the hair allows enough room for the Dream Catcher's to show off their full effect.  Way to go MyStiCa.  Your eye for the dramatic makes these styles so perfect for models in both runway and photo shoots and of course, for bloggers wanting the unique..

Now on to my gorgeous dress.  This is another stunner from Aleida picked up from my shopping spree last week.  Its called "Wippy's Choice" (my choice too Wippy) and the lace work is exquisite.  With lovely bell sleeves, cummerbund with a spray of black flowers at the waist and plunging neckline edged with scalloped lace, its the LBD that will take you anywhere, but most likely to bed.

Somehow my hand slipped on the TP button and I ended up back at Similar Footwear AGAIN so I thought I'd grab another pair of heels...you know, since I was there and all.  This pair is called 'Poison' and at the front, they are held together with the daintiest of chain links with an option of silver or gold or even laces for a heavier look.  ME LOVES.  The ladies from Similar (Larisa Tylman and Simone Bonham - I think) have an amazing notecard that comes with the shoes explaining how best to match up your skin.  Stupid me only referred to it with this new purchase and I would have saved myself so much time if I'd just followed it in the first place.  I won't give it away because its their property and should be explained only when you purchase their shoes but I found it super easy.  I know some of you have an astute eye when it comes to skin tone matching but I am definitely challenged in this area...been in SL since 2007 and I still click aimlessly on the color palate or get my RGB all wrong..

With the Aleida dress, Bizarre Hair, Similar shoes, Glam Affair skin and my ultimate fave Label Mode bag, if I looked like this in RL, my Dream Catcher would be working overtime.

Do you know darlings, if SL profile search worked efficiently instead of taking forever to open, I'd be able to blog twice as fast.  I spend more time putting LM's on my blog than collectively taking pics and writing it up.

Chalice wishes you all a happy day and again, if you have any LM's to share of smart looking runway's, please share them in-world.  No-one responded last time and I feel a bit emo  :-(

Bathed In Black.

What I most enjoy about fashion is the fact that rules are made to be broken.  Like wearing a vintage style bathing cap with a formal gown.  How can you not feel fabulous strutting your stuff with all eyes turned in your direction in awe of your chutzpah.  I found this layered black number in Aleida called 'Perry Frilled Temptation' and I love the aesthetic of the expanding layers.  I hitched the skirt up a bit to show case the lofty 'Pretender' heels in Lime from Ladies Who Lunch.  It was then I spied the 'Couture Bathing Cap' and thought "Chalice you must cross pollinate Ladies Who Lunch with Aleida" to create this look.

I so love the cap with a gazillion bows and the vividness of the green is ever so beautiful and reminds me of a well manicured lawn.  I also popped into Miamai for some 'Rainbow Warriors Green' lashes and added la vie eye liner tattoo in Pistachio from Label Mode for even more green drama.

Don't you just love the heights we can reach in styling something unique from the many talented designers in world?  Who ever said SL is fashionably dead?  The uninspired that's who!.
