Kalnins Do Jeans.

Color me happy...Kalnins do jeans.  I have been a Kalnins girl for a long time now. Maris Kanto, Kalnins designers, knows good fashion. His shoes and eye wear are quality all the way and he definitely has a knack in marketing his excellent products. Recently Mr Kanto sent me a selection of his new jeans and they're fantastic. Available in a variety of styles, the jeans come in black, blue and sirocco for only 195L a pair.

Take a look.....

Papa...Paparazzi.

Chalice In Wonderland

Big hair, oversize necklace, cool shades and double layered platforms all come together to Divarize Chalice.

Chalice In Wonderland

LeLutka has a great collection of bags and these death defying shoes are called Heeless Double Platform Pumps from House of Fox.

Chalice In Wonderland

It's been a big week of news and views in SL around the Emerald Viewer and I hope things get sorted out soon. More viewers mean more choice but transparency and safety must be upheld at all times. I seem to be having problems with all the viewers at the moment so am waiting in anxious anticipation for something to come along that just works for me.

If anyone has a spare Prime Minister floating around can they send them down-under to Australia.  We unfortunately can't find one.

The List:

Skin and hair base: Eclat Pale #7 by LeLutka
Hair attachment:  Boop in Blonde by Baiastice
Eyes: Expressive Eyes in Grey by Nany Merlin
Dress:  Tie Die Cocktail Dress by House of Fox
Shoes:  Heeless Double Platform Pumps by House of Fox
Glasses: Industry Sunglasses from The Niven Collection
Bag:  Solento Clutch by LeLutka
Necklace: Pearl Lily Necklace from So Many Styles

Baiastice New Release - Hair Attachments To Die For.

Chalice In Wonderland

This post is NOT about the fabulous Pois Satin dress from Baiastice currently available for a song at The Dressing Room Blue. No sir...people have already blogged that. This is about Sissy's new line of hair attachments recently released. I have just allowed Sissy to travel first class to the Maldives with the L's I just spent in her store. Well first class by Linden Airways to the next sim maybe. I couldn't count the number of styles she has produced but each attachment is available with 12 hair shades included for sale at a measly $150L.

I have only presented one style, the Lucrezia, because I want you all to TP to the Baiastice Beauty Department and demo till you drop.

Of course being an attachment, you'll need a quality hair base or hair tattoo but I'm sure nearly everyone has these. The hair attachment phenomena has become my absolute favorite SL invention of late and I simply can't get enough of them.

Chalice In Wonderland

I was so excited to post, I didn't even bother about finding a location. I just took these on my pool deck. Yay for Sissy.

Dating Me In Elymode.

Chalice In Wonderland

I don't need a date. I'm wearing Elymode. Actually I don't need a date because I'm married in RL but you get the picture. Wearing Elymode and looking as gorgeous as this, well Chalice is never lonely.

Chalice In Wonderland

The top and skirt from Elymode are called Pacifica and I've chosen to show it in black; however, its also available in green, purple and blue. Ely has been busy with her silk worms again, because the material is lustrous and looks as if it has been spun with silver thread.

Chalice In Wonderland

I accessorized heavily in silver, donning a buxom feather hair needle because when in doubt, wear a feather. Silver scarf, ring, bangle and bag complete the black/silver combo.

Chalice In Wonderland

I was utterly thrilled to be able to wear my LeLutka skin black hair base with the gorgeous hair attachment from Vanity Hair. I personally love the melding of these two items creating a slick, classic style.

If you want to date yourself in Elymode, I highly recommend it. I was the best date I ever had.

Skirt/Top:  Elymode
Skin:  LeLutka
Hairbase: LeLutka
Hair Attachment: Vanity Hair
Nails:  J's
Shoes: SLink (available The Dressing Room Blue)
Earrings: Glow Studio (available The Dressing Room Blue)

SL WE HAVE A PROBLEM. Don't tell me we're going down this road again. Remember the system skirt issue of a couple of years ago? This is happening too often lately when I log in. Is there a Mr Fix It in the house?

It's A Beautiful Day...Don't Let It Slip Away.

I must be the luckiest girl in the world. Every time I visit new web site's, I'm ALWAYS the 1,000,000th visitor.

I just wanted to show you my new chair. I first saw it in The Dressing Room Blue and had to have it. Upon inspection, I headed to Yasuki Beck's LP2 interior to snap it up. Amazing furniture and ultra low prim which amazes me because it all looks as if it would be prim heavy. I love this chair and matching rug called 'Old Stripe'.

I also TP'd to Fancy Scrabblebat's new store, ::Shopaholic's Anonymous:: situated at Malt. You can read Fancy's wonderful blog, So Called Second Life here. Fancy has a pose pack for sale at 50L's and is hard at work making more. Unreal poses folks so keep Shopaholic's Anonymous in mind for your pose needs. The Starbucks coffee, newspaper and glasses on the floor were made by Ms Fancy and her shop is full of fun.

This is my most favorite photo of Chalice. I just managed to take it as she blinked so the effect is just perfect.

LionSkins Sukai Range - Like Nothing You've Ever Seen

Chalice In Wonderland Blog

I don't think I've been this excited to blog something in a long time. Lion Jonesford, CEO and skin designer of LionShins, has seriously pulled one out of the bag with her new Sukai range of African inspired skins. For me in RL, if you would ask me what I would love to look like if I had the choice, it would be a beautiful, African woman just like Sukai. From a little girl, I was always mesmerized by their incredible beauty and grace. Ladies and gents, this skin is INCREDIBLE.

Chalice In Wonderland Blog

The body is something to be seen. Shaded to perfection with just the right amount of shine, this skin is designed to be noticed but it is the face that really blasts this skin into the stratosphere. Just look at these...no PS manipulation other than blurring the edges a little as I always do. This is pure gold.

Worn with ornate lashes from BiancaF, this skin can certainly take them.

Lion describes SUKAI as a "sensual, exotic beauty capturing the essence of the African woman with the art and culture Africa is well known for". What is particularly mind blowing is the fact she has created 50 make up options for this line...yes 50. Lion used a new technique, Photo-realism which resulted in amazing detail. Just look at the forehead.

Sukai skins are available in one tone with the hair base and cleavage incorporated into the skin. There is no bald option available at this time. Also coming soon, more shapes to compliment the Sukai skin line.

Talking to Lion, it is obvious that she is passionate and loves what she does. I only hope that these skins receive the credit that they richly deserve because to me, this is art.

Again Ms Tabata Jewell and Lion have joined creative forces and Vanity Hair is selling amazing African inspired hair attachments for Sukai.

A big thank you to the lovely Nave Fall who allowed me to use the runway at The Models Workshop for these shots. Note to new or aspiring models....read this site for helpful information and support The Models Workshop.

Jewelery With Edge From Behold Designs.

Chalice in Wonderland Blog
Nail Cross earrings and Rubik's Cube bracelet from Behold Designs steps away from the norm.

A few posts ago I promised I would show you this cool bracelet designed by EnCore Mayne from Behold Designs. It was fortuitous that when I was about to style my look for this shoot, EnCore sent out these fabulous Nail Cross earrings and I thought it was a great opportunity to show both pieces. How she did this bracelet I'll never know but I just love the fact that she doesn't follow tradition and reinvigorates an item that took the world by storm years ago.

Chalice in Wonderland Blog

The Nail Cross earrings are another variation on a theme and I love the delicate red stone at it's center and the fact they are made to look like horse shoe nails.

Chalice in Wonderland Blog

To compliment EnCore's unusual pieces, I opted for something avant-garde and I knew exactly where to go. BiancaF has been a favorite designer of mine for a million years and I popped over to see what treasures she had dreamed up. I spied an outfit called Body Structure and wore only the prim pieces of the exterior dress to keep color out of the equation so that the Rubik's Cube bracelet had center stage.

Chalice in Wonderland Blog

To avoid hair taking over the look, I wore a knitted turban from Ce Cubic Effect and poked in some flexi feathers created by SL resident Vanilla Sola.

Chalice in Wonderland Blog

I had so much fun discovering NOMOS2, a residential role play sim that is just so well built with amazing views everywhere you turn. It felt like I was in the movie Blade Runner.

Thank you EnCore for the earrings love. I'm still working on solving the Rubik's Cube. I might have it by next year.

My Ex-Boyfriend Tried To Tell Me He Owns SL...As If.

Chalice In Wonderland Blog
I just broke up.  My ex-boyfriend tried to tell me he owns SL.  What a liar.  Talk about delusions of grandeur.

Ok just a bit of fun. I found this sim yesterday called ReMix Yo Life and I just fell in love with it. So much to explore and I couldn't wait to take some pics. I found the ghost of Philip Rosedale (aka Philip Linden) there and set up this little scenario. SORRY SORRY Philip. I unfortunately spelled your name wrong and was too lazy to go back and rectify it. I corrected myself with a scotch and coke.

While this isn't a fashion post exactly, I was in the mood for some fantasy fashion and as I usually do, turned to Yip and her incredible designs for some feather love. I am thrilled with the results as in RL, I could stare are a peacock feather for hours and marvel at how nature got it so right.

Chalice In Wonderland Blog

I also wanted to capture the beauty of the surroundings rather than focus on the model to give you a window into this beautiful place.

Chalice In Wonderland Blog

Without a word of a lie, just walking around ReMix gave me a calm feeling.

Chalice In Wonderland Blog

I do hope I'm not the only person who can immerse themselves in a beautiful sim and it actually affect my mood in RL. Is that weird?

Chalice In Wonderland Blog

If anyone knows of any amazing sim's to photograph apart from those we probably all know and love, can you send me the LM in world? I'd love that. Likewise, if you are new to SL and would like a list of some great photography sim's I've put together, let me know and I'll send you my copy. It's a work in progress of course and some LM's may no longer be in use but its a start.

Wanna Have Some Candy Doll?????

Ms Candy Doll herself, Rebeca Dembo, sent me her Lolita Shirt in all the available colors. I love it Rebeca. Not only is it well cut, the fabric folds, pleats and material texture are so attractive.

Chalice In Wonderland Blog

The top comes in Baby Blue, Blue, Green, Orange, Pinky, Purple, Red and Sunny. The prim of the top contains a menu for resizing and I love the little detail of the CD label on the back of the top. Its the small things that make my day. Best part darlings, only $100L each. Ab Fab Rebeca.

Chalice In Wonderland Blog

Candy Doll is a great store providing shoppers with a wealth of products including skins, face tattoo's, clothing, information on hunts and for those living SL as children, there is Candy Doll Kids.

Check out Rebeca's blog Beccalicious. It's a great blog and she's got style to burn.

$500L for the return of my legs.  $550L if you wax them for me.

And right when I went off at the Maitreya Gold 50% off sale and brought out the store. My life sucks.

Get Ready For Hair Fair 2010 and Bandana Day In September

There's one day in September you'll want to remember - that's Bandana Day on the 19th which occurs during the 16 day Hair Fair kicking off on the 4th. This is the 5th Annual Hair Fair and has been a knockout success in the past. Bandana Day is a special event in the calendar where people are encouraged to whip off their hair and purchase bandana's specifically decorated by all manner of designers. The proceeds benefit Wigs For Kids and will ONLY be sold by the Hair Fair Committee (HFC) so do ensure you only buy your bandana from official HFC vendors.

Hair Fair 2010

Ms Sasy Scarborough heads up the committee and certainly needs no introduction from me as you would all be aware of her wonderful blog, Sasy Pants. The official Hair Fair 2010 blog offers a wealth of information for all of us to not only find out what's happening with the fair but why this cause is so important and special.

Hair Fair 2010

I along with many other bloggers will be periodically covering the Hair Fair and I guess I would just like to remind everyone that while we are all entitled to have our say, do remember what is at the core of this event and appreciate that a lot of effort from some very kind people has gone into the organization.  Yes it's about getting new, fun hair but it also has a deeper purpose.

Hair Fair 2010

I re-textured the official bandana provided for this day and created by Damien Fate with my own message. As I type, many clever, artistic souls in SL are probably hard at work designing some kind of wonderful for you all to buy. I not being one of those people merely put together this design which is meant to be an eye with a message in the pupil.   In an artsy, fartsy sort of way I'm saying 'never take your eye off other people'.  There's always someone who needs you.

I'm In The Mode For Elymood - Doh - That's Elymode.

Wooo hooo. Elymode has received a face lift and to mark the occasion, Elysium Eilde has new releases, gifts, limited release items and in-world-group exclusives.

Chalice In Wonderland Blog

Chalice In Wonderland Blog

In these pics, I'm wearing pieces from the Dulce De Leche set. Ely had a vision of this cream and caramel version of the existing set of bright, sugary colors that is now only available until the 26th of August. Never fear, this delicious cream/caramel set is perfect for autumn and as you can see, the options are endless.

I do have some other Elymode loveliness to bring you when I can. Ely creates the best textures. It's almost like she has a silkworm farm in the backyard producing the finest fabrics. Do you Ely? Do you?

What are you wearing Chalice?

I'm wearing LeLutka skin, Lamb hair, Elymode clothes, Maitreya Gold shoes, J's nail polish, Exodi earrings and necklace, Sey scarf, rings from Flirt and Earthstones, Baiastice sneakers, Miel hair flowers

New Pixie Gown by Sascha's Designs

Chalice In Wonderland Blog

No wonder I love sasCHA's Designs. Ms Sascha Frangilli must be a fan of mine to have put Cha in the name of her store. Seriously though, Sascha's Designs is a sure bet in the world of fashion. You just know that whatever you purchase, it's quality, it's honest and it's stunning.

This is one of Sascha's new releases called Pixie and I chose to show it in glorious purple. I don't wear purple often enough and the richness of this skirt texture comes alive in this shade. With three skirt options, the Battleship, the Big Sucker and the Grande, you can choose your wow rating.

Chalice In Wonderland Blog

I chose a huge WOW wearing the Battleship and Big Sucker skirts at once. The effect is amazing.

Chalice In Wonderland Blog

The movement in the skirt is something else and I made sure that I clicked when the skirt was in flight.

Chalice In Wonderland Blog

Just look at the luster on that skirt eh? The bodice is equally stunning with teeny tiny spaghetti straps that will never fail you. No one ever has a nipp slip in SL, unless they want to of course.

Chalice In Wonderland Blog

Do pop over to Sascha's for a look at her new items. This dress is a treat and I can't wait for the next ball to wear it. Who am I kidding? I don't need an occasion to wear a gorgeous dress like this. I just washed the dishes in it and now I'm gonna mop the floor.

She wore:

Skin: Michelle 5 by Mayden Couture
Hair: Witch in Powder by Lamb
Dress: Pixie in Purple by Sascha's Designs
Necklace and Earrings: Aparan't Set in Amethyst by Lurani (contact Gisele Mubble because I couldn't find the LM - sorry)
