Some of you might not be aware of the Swan Dress Scandal of 2001 but it was big. A certain Icelandic singer arrives at a certain awards show wearing a replica of a dress Chalice Carling wore in 2000 when she was in Cannes to star in the Victoria's Secret Cannes Fashion Show. It rocked Europe and Northern America to it's core.
Mz Carling was showered with public sympathy, so much so that the movers and shaker's of the fashion industry came together to honor her by naming the Football League Cup the 'Carling Cup'. Kate Miss and Nomie Campball were so incensed that they resorted to tantrums and hissy fits of such magnitude that they were banned from owning mobile phones for a year and were down-graded to cargo hold class for most of 2004.
Chalice Carling has always subscribed to the notion that while they're talking about YOU, they're leaving some other poor sucker alone. In this respect, she decided not to sue and to carry on with her illustrious modeling career which has seen her become the muse of many a SL designer since her entry into the virtual medium 3 years ago. She has chosen to recreate the look that surrounded such controversy all those years ago when HER dress became to talk of the town.
This story is based on some true events, however, has been fictionalized and all persons appearing in this work are fictitious. Any resemblance to real people, living or dead, is entirely coincidental.
