Praying The Seams Hold.
I once wore a dress so tight and short a few years ago that I literally couldn't sit down, which was a terrible shame because my shoes were killing me. I knew before I walked out the door, I'd regret it no matter how fantastic I thought I looked. I spent most of the night worrying about whether I was flashing my crotch to the crowd and praying the seams didn't explode in the middle of the club. It was at that point in my life that I promised myself if ya can't sit in it, ya don't wear it.
That aside, Chalice never has to worry about such things and this slip of a dress from Alaskametro called 'Milla' in Pebble Beige was something I put away in the closet to blog some day. Its simply cut but the lace and color sets it apart from other little dresses and great for clubbing the night away. It has a traditional elegance but with oodles of sex appeal.
Styling this look was also an opportunity to show you the new 'Daisy' hair from LeLutka with roots in the 'Marilyn' tone. Loose, casual and perfect for unabashed freedom on the dance floor, I really love this style.
Worn with Kalnin's amazing 'Scarlett' footwear and a little clutch from Baiastice, this simple yet eye-catching look is something you can easily throw on after work when you and your buddies are up for some drinks and dancing. I was told this evening that Kalnins Footwear no longer exist in SL or may have been sold to an outlet. If anyone finds a LM for Kalnin's shoes, please share with me.
This dress does need to come with a warning though, 'Please don't pick a loose thread' or you could be in BIG trouble.
Here I'm using a new photo studio that I purchased from pose store PNP Megastore. I came across this when PNP sent out some free background texture packs and I was intrigued to know exactly what they were for. I strolled through the huge store and found the PNP Photo Studio V3 that comes with pose stand and texture hud whereby you can add more textures and poses to both via edit. What I like about this studio is the size of it. Very wide and high so you can pull back without loosing the picture. It also comes with a control module to remove/show the pose stand and move your avatar by using the arrows to place yourself in different positions. Easy as pie. I think this is great for people who like to shoot backgrounds in world using a variety of wind-light settings. You can then add them to the background hud and have the control to concentrate on lighting your avatar on your own land without interruption from visitors etc. Also PNP have a huge variety of backgrounds for sale to add to the hud if that's what you'd prefer. I do love shooting at different locations but when using some of the wind-light settings, while making magic with the landscape, can turn my avatar into the ugliest thing imaginable. Drop in the store and have a play with it. You'll find a mass of poses and other photographic items.
