How Can You See Into My Eyes Like Open Doors?

I've been noticing a few designers lately who sell their clothing items with accessories included. While I love to mix and match my fashion to create a bespoke look, I do appreciate how handy this is for people not wanting to go ferreting for hours on end in their inventory for the right shoes, jewellery etc.  This outfit is from SLX, a combination of Ducknipple and 20.FIVE, providing complete outfits for SL customers.  Great idea for those on the go who want to just pop on some fabulousness and head out.  It consists of the dress, boots, bangles and necklace which all compliment each other beautifully.

I really just added this silver chain clutch from Croire (now trading on Marketplace), hair, skin, tattoo and nail gloves and voilà, ready in record time.

Another thing about purchasing complete outfits from SLX is the fact that you are saving heaps of money if you're anything like me when you style.  I spend a fortune on shoes and accessories so this way, you're getting it all in the one purchase.  At only L$195, this is remarkable.

Oh and I did a naughty thing.  Walked right into Glam Affair and fat packed the Cleo.  Will someone please chain me to a heavy seat at my home for a week so I can't go shopping?  I'm out of control....and loving it :-)  Be good till next time.

And my blog title?  Guess what I was listening to when I was thinking 'oh no, what do I call this post'. lol

Give It Up For Mesh Head.

Gawd I got so side tracked putting this look together, it felt like I was everywhere and spending it up like a Getty.  But I couldn't be more thrilled with the pieces I purchased.

The look started with the wonderfully patterned Xtreme Tank and boots from Mesh Head.  The tank has a hud that gives you the option of 8 patterns but I was particularly enamored by this design and purchased the matching boots.  I simply love it.  I also must say that I found the customer service responsive, friendly and timely.

I love the subtle connection between top and shoes.  Designer Francesco Carrera caters to biker dudes and rock chick's and her ability with mesh clothing is masterful.  What I specifically love is the fact that the design is replicated inside the top which makes for no invisible lines.

Another favorite store of mine is MOW.  I found these fabulous Grey Cargo Jeans with great detail and Unisex Arm Warmers.  I've found everything I've purchased at MOW to be of excellent quality.  MOW is actually an acronym for 'My Own Way' and designer Medusa Back certainly does it her own way.

For some reason I kept looking for 'the' bag to add to this outfit and finally found it at Bliensen and MaiTai called 'Oh My Stars O-Rama Love Birds'.  Very happy with it I was.

The watch was a favorite pick up from Kumaki which sell the biggest selection of glasses I've ever seen among other things.  The watch is called 'Rasta Army Watch'.  Seriously, if you want glasses, go to Kumaki.

The color change glasses I'm wearing here are from AvaGirl and can be worn on the nose or on top of your head.  With a color change hud, the options are endless.  I looked for ages for the right necklace and found it at Primitive Design called 'Candy Cross'.  As I always appreciate, it comes with a resizer hud which makes it so much easier to achieve that perfect fit.  The earrings I purchased from CoLLisions called 'Rain Dance'.  I again chose a hair from Diva called Asami which can be worn with or without the pony tail. I do have an ear plug in my left ear only you can't see it for my hair.  Regardless, it's from Zombie Suicide called 'The Day Of The Dead' and they're fabulous.

I should note that no boobs fell out during the making of this post.

Why So Blue?

Actually I am a bit blue, as in I'm feeling the blues.  I offered to look after my best friends dog for the day and he killed a pigeon in my garden.  The pigeon kind of got stuck in my pond so I rescued it and it flew away, or so I thought.  Next thing, my bf's dog had the poor darling bird in its mouth.  It was dead so there was a small comfort that I didn't have to nurse it whilst it died.  I hate it when things like this happen in my haven.  I did give the pigeon a burial and said a few words but I can't help but think a pigeon is looking for its mate right now.  God here I go again crying.....I know its all part of the grand plan but I tend to feel things like this so deeply.

Sniff, sniff...on to the fashion.

My look today is a flowery, spring top and pants from Revanche, a shop situated at Fi*Friday and the Promenade sim.  I'm a sucker for soft, powdery blue as a color so couldn't pass this sweet top that reminds me of shabby chic material that Rachel Ashwell would covet.

I purchased the fat pack of Glam Affair's 'Amberly Petal Edition' skins because they are so dynamic and the one I'm wearing is called 'Butterfly'.  I know I'll be wearing these in many future posts.

My name is Chalice and I'm a Mandala-holic.  Yes, somehow I found myself at the store again snapping up this and that.  Shown are the 'Anuttra' rings and 'Soul' necklace.  Is there help for me?  Maybe I should follow a self exclusion process and give the owner my picture so I can be ejected if I can't resist another shopping trip?

I brought out my 'Lolita Espadrilles' from Gos for another airing.  I love these shoes so much and the hud is in my opinion, brilliant.  You click the link and it takes you to a vast list of skin makers in order to match the skin easily.  Very clever Gos.

Whilst looking on Flickr I found a gorgeous picture of the sim Ocho Tango and logged in to TP there straight away.  Its also the home of DaD Design.  These pics are taken there - its really beautiful so go take a look.

Hope you all have an awesome day.

I'm An Eclectica Girl.

Today I'm the mad hatter wearing a gorgeous creation by Tiffy Vella from Eclectica Jewelry.  This hat is called 'Solaria Cloche' shown in Tangerine tones that match with a jewelry set of the same name.  The hat includes the hair in the colors ash, blonde, brunette, auburn and black  As you can see, the necklace matches the embellishment on the hat.  The 'Solaria' jewelry set contains earrings, rings and a necklace with the option of gold or silver metal.  Pop along to Eclectica to view the wide range of colors that are available in both the hat and jewelry.

The coat and long cardigan are available from LAQ...just perfect for cold days.  I found the tartan tights from Maitreya.

I am always honored to blog any product from Eclectica Jewelry because I believe in the quality of the pieces and want this label to be on the tips of everyone's lips.

I've got two wee vents that will make me feel better.  I purchased some mesh pants from a vendor at Fi*Friday the other day and popped them on and they're grey.  Nothing I do will bring up the texture.  I send a pic and a message...nothing back.  The creator has nothing in their profile but a link to Marketplace.  Seriously, if you aren't going into SL much, say so.  Let your shoppers know how to get on to you.

I purchased some boots from a well known label only to have no ability to resize them apart from stretch, which as we know, can be tricky.  They are miles too small and even when I reduced the size of my legs, the boots are still too small.  Surely a resize script in L$400 boots isn't too much to ask...or is it?

The Givers Of SL

I had a really good time putting this together.  Half my attention was on purchasing pieces and the other on discovering some new places I hadn't been before.  In amongst that I was perusing the feeds and thought I'd mention two people and their blog who really add such positivity to our blogging community.  Casja Lillihook and Gidge Uriza's blog, It's Only Fashion, take the time to give credit to bloggers when they feel their artistry and creativity deserve merit.  I think its a lovely idea and I really enjoy their 'Fast Five' posts immensely. With so much going on in SL and the vast amount of information that bombards us, its so easy to miss some really special posts.  Their commentary makes me stop a moment and appreciate the talents among you all that in all sorts of ways, keeps me interested and engaged in SL.  Bravo Casja and Gidge.  I think that giving out bouquet's says a lot about the people that you are.

Now on to my outfit.  Oooo ahhhh, I'm in love with the top (Celoe) and pants (ElyMode) in this ensemble.  I don't know what Elysium Eilde of Elymode does with her textures because they are so polished and perfect.  All of her clothing are distinctive in that her entire collection is cohesive and you know it's Elymode.  To me this is quite rare in SL, because I don't often see a piece and know immediately who designed it.  She also creates awesome eye make up among many other things so even more reason to visit.

The ultra feminine mesh top is called 'Rhonda' from Celoe.  I love the russet colors and waist bow which like all Celoe items, sits so perfectly on the body and screams quality.

The bag, necklace and hair band are from Tram...I swear I can't stay away from that shop.  The shoes are the latest release from Maitreya Gold called 'Suave' which they certainly are.

From the feeds, I noticed this wonderful sim called 'Small Town Green' and headed there to take my snaps.  Seriously beautiful and well worth the time to slowly explore all the nooks and crannies.

Oh and I changed my blog interface just for a change.  Wish I was more creative because I know how I want it to look but can't quite get it there...YET.

Are you all looking forward to Monday?  Maybe Berry has another Meme for us??????

Zebra Crossing

Please note: no zebra's were harmed in the making of this post.  It's faux all the way with zebra being my inspiration for the look.  I found the fab zebra printed vest and clutch from C'est la vie and set about putting together a casual look.  The pants are from the ::K:: label also available at C'est la vie.

I headed over to Mayfair for a spot of sight seeing, admiring the architecture of this fabulous build.

If you're at a loss for something to do and you appreciate art, head on over to the Avalon Art District for a walk around the galleries.  Something nice to do with your partner, friend or by yourself.

Thank You For The Music

Hello darlings.  I hope your day is going well and since you asked, mine has turned to s%$t.  Woke up this morning and went to the mail box.  What greeted me?  A whopping AUS$7,600 account from my solicitor for services rendered thus far in respect to the financial disbursement of assets with my ex-husband.  I mean we haven't even agreed on anything yet because 'the bum' won't turn up to any conciliation meetings.  Boo hoo for me.  Why are people so cruel?  The person you invest your love in can just turn against you and want to see you fall.  I'm not one of those people and that's why I can't understand that kind of mentality.  Anyway, life is a journey and unfortunately mine has taken me to places I don't care to visit but they tell me it will pass.  I sure do hope so.

Now onto the fashion.  I found this fab coat at Vero Modero the other day.  I love the simplicity of it.  I remembered the smart black and white hand bag from Meiling in my inventory and voila, a smart combo is born.  I couldn't love Mandala jewelery any more if I tried and I nabbed these gorgeous earrings called Omochi in Silver.  I wish I owned everything in the store.

Actually, Chalice looks like I feel.  Brow beaten and battle weary lol.

I am wondering if anyone else has a problem with their shoes when you turn your preferences to the maximum?  In some heels, my foot sticks out of the shoes despite having all the relevant pieces attached to my avatar.  Very annoying when you pick that perfect pair of shoes and you can't wear them.  I have renderingvolumelod and renderingavatarlod set to 5 or 6 and Anisotropic Filtering set to 8x but it doesn't make a difference.  It's only when I turn down my slider to mild that it disappears.  Any thoughts????

Orquidea Brings Out The Animal In Me

I'm feeling wild and free in this sexy little number from Orquidea.  Beautifully fitted with excellent material folds brings this outfit to life.  See the draping across the breasts...this must be so hard to do with black but its certainly been achieved with this don't you think?

I added a little belt from LeLuka 'Barbo' that chains up at the front.

I searched for ages to find the right shoes and came across these wedges in a similar leopard print from Peqe.

Go visit Orquidea where you'll find a great variety of different items from avant garde face tattoo's to formal dresses.  Your limo awaits you below...

Waltzing Matilda With Me???

Aussie, Aussie, Aussie.  Oi, Oi, Oi.  I'm Aussie all over in this cute Punk Racerback singlet showing the Australian flag from Miel.  If you are feeling patriotic, head over to Miel to see if your country is represented.

These fabulous jeans including the belt are from Maitreya called BF Jeans and are my absolute favorite from all the jeans I own.

I love the racer back design...very sexy.  Look at the back pockets of the jeans...perfectly threading.  Don't you just love it when you wear your jeans in over the years until they're just perfect?  The thought of breaking in another pair of jeans just sends you reeling!

Keeping with the flag theme, albeit now the UK flag, I purchased these Wild Shoes at The Dressing Room made by Just Design a few days ago.  A total steal and I love them.

These pics were shot at a wonderful sim called Neva River.  I'm sure most of you have heard/visited; however, for those of you who have not, it's beautiful and has loads of photo opportunities.

While you lucky bunnies are enjoying Spring in the North, we down-under have sashayed into Autumn.  A season I admit I love particularly when the leaves turn russet and we can snuggle inside by the fire.

I've put together an executive look for the smart working girl.  The shirt, pants and belt make up the outfit called 'Marve' from Vero Modero.  Very tailored and well put together..

Because Of You I Don't Stray Too Far From The Sidewalk

Hello bunnies.  Well another night where sleep escapes me so thought I would style another outfit that I purchased recently.  I headed over to the amazing Hazadous sim to take the photo's.  If you haven't visited, you simply must.

Well we have more fair's and hunts to poke a stick at and most of you will be running around like headless chickens trying to cram them in.  We really are spoiled for choice these days and I'm grateful to other blogs who showcase whats available.

Don't Worry, Be Hippy

Stuffed after a long day of shopping, Chalice took a seat to rest her feet and her bank balance.  I found these chairs at DownDownDown and they contain 5 different poses.  Quirky eh?

Still in my love affair with brown and different colors, I found this funky little dress at Shine called "Urban Hippie".  I lucked in when I found the cute tote at Auxiliary and hoped it would work.  I like the combination.

I added these tights from Riddle, a belt from Coco and boots from Maitreya.

I didn't make the cut to become a Vero Modero model, but hey, it's failures that makes us try harder.  Congrats go to the successful models.
